Do It Rite Plumbing installed an English wall mount tub faucet that I bought online from Signature Plumbing that was not USA standard specifications. It was a difficult install and Do It Rite had to spend a lot of time on the install but the end result was fantastic and they did not charge me extra even though it took a few hours longer than what they had anticipated. Professional, friendly, clean, thorough, careful and considerate of my 1930's claw tub finishes. Their price was also 50% less than an estimate from Hawaii Drain Pros. I had a leak in the upstairs shower and I couldn't find the problem. I also wanted a shutoff valve where the line enters the house. Cole sent 2 young men out and they quickly put in the valve and new pressure regulator on the outside of the house. It only took them a few minutes to find the cause of the leak and made the repair. We ran the shower for about 10 minutes to be certain the leak was fixed. They cleaned everthing up and were gone. Very good, efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. read more

Cole and team were so knowledgeable and efficient. The rental house we had just moved in 2 days prior started having major plumbing issues. Showers were not draining, water seeping up through the floors and toilettes began backing up. Cole and team scoped the problem and knew exactly what the cause was and how to fix it. Unfortunately for us, the owner decided to go with another plumber who told him what he wanted to hear rather than face reality. Cole understood our dire situation and called us a few days later to see if we were ok and taken care of even knowing the owner chose to go with another plumber. The hired plumber trenched and changed some pipes. But long story short, we have to move out because we have no working shower and I'm afraid the toilettes will begin to back up soon. Professional and knowledgeable. Replaced water pressure regulator, added shut-off valve, and replaced spigot. Response time is good, arrived on time, and cleaned up afterwards. Labor rate $100/hour, which included getting a commercial regulator. Works quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend. Water pressure was over 140 PSI negatively impacting pipes, water heater, plumbing fixtures, and appliances like the dishwasher. The water pressure regulator brought PSI down to 80. read more

I just called this business (before 7am)and spoke with Cole. He let me know the time he would be able to come to our office. I let him know I would need to check with my boss if the time would work and would get back to him. Recently I've asked Cole to change my main drain line which was in really bad shape. He and his crew came to my home and made those changes as requested. They did an awesome job. Yay! My shower is all fixed! We have been trying to take care of a leak in our second bathroom before Christmas. We had an appointment set with another plumbing company but they ended up rescheduling and on the day of the rescheduled appointment, they were a no show. I would highly recommend Do It Rite Plumbing. Very professional. Responds quickly. Cole gave me a fair quote that didn't break the bank. He and Makai had to remove and replace my main bathroom shower hot and cold faucets along with Bathtub spout and changed out all of the inner parts due to old age and corrosion. It was not an easy job getting the old ones off due to all of the corrosion. I couldn't believe how nice my shower flowed afterwards and how easy it was turning the knobs again and pulling up the shower lever for the shower. I also had them change the bathroom sink filters which were causing low water pressure due to all of the corrosion. Cole also cleaned out my bathroom exhaust ceiling fans. I called Cole early this morning at 6:30. What a pleasant surprise that he starts his business at 6 am!!!! My bathtub hot water faucet would not completely turn off and the water was just running. So I was in a panic mode and called Do It Rite Plumbing since the business had so many 5 star reviews. After my interaction with Cole, I now know why his business is rated 5 stars! He did a lot of research to find the parts because the house is very old. He asked me to send him pictures so he could make sure he had the parts BEFORE he came. That is outstanding because I've had other repairs where even if I took pictures and sent them ahead of time, they would come without parts. And I am being charged by the hour while looking for parts and going to get them to do the job. Cole was so responsive and followed up quickly letting me know about the parts and what I could expect if the parts were not available. On Thursday, January 16, I called Cole mid-morning to see if they were available to repair a buried broken pipe on our property out in Maili that connected to the Board of Water Supply street meter. Luckily, he and crew of two apprentices were finishing a job in Kalihi and could head over to the west side by early afternoon. I sent Cole a few photos via text, he called back with a quote, and they arrived after lunch with a replacement 3/4" copper pipe and fittings. They installed everything quickly. Cole contacted the BWS to turn the water back on but when the BWS service technician arrived he provided what later turned out to be erroneous information about the pipe needing to be 1" and would not restore service. Cole diligently called BWS to speak to a supervisor to confirm as this was unusual and he wanted to turn our water back on as soon as possible. In the meanwhile he sent one apprentice to the local hardware store to fetch a 1"pipe just in case. The BWS supervisor arrived sometime later, agreed that Cole was correct about the 3/4" pipe and turned the water back on. Cole and crew promptly finished the installation, including a box for easy access to the on/off valve. I paid with a card and got an itemized invoice emailed to me immediately, easy peasy. Cole and his team did a very nice job replacing toilet tank parts, repairing a leaky faucet and changing out the 3 piece shower faucet/trim, 5 Stars for the work that was done. One star is deducted for what came after when the bill was presented. At the start, Cole quoted his hourly price and said my job would be no more than 2 hours. He sent me pictures and prices of shower faucets from two local retailers and I made my selection based on the prices listed. After the job was done, the bill was significantly more than I expected. Cole informed me he charged me $100 for his time to pick up the parts (not explained when discussing the estimate or I would have picked up the parts). When I asked for detailed costs on the parts, the office manager said they do not release this information. She confirmed they mark up parts in order to make a profit.
