While I really enjoyed my drink, which was called Silk City, per the server's recommendations, I overall thought that most of the items were severely overpriced, especially for the amount given. My friend and I visited here and enjoyed the dark vibe and the environment, which was pretty good for dates. If one is okay with the prices, then I think this would be a great place for good drinks and vibes. Honestly I am not certain if the whole concept of crispy rice was effective, because the textural juxtaposition made the flavors of the crispy rice and the fish completely separate, when they're really meant to be together as one entity. The crispy rice had a taste that'd be present for all fried food, which, if wasn't fried, would allow the fish and the rice to combine flavors, like big pieces of sushi. That itself to me should be enough. I really enjoyed my drink which is called Silk City, and the only thing I wished was that it was a bigger portion for $20. My friend also enjoyed her drink which was called Peligrosa, a mixture of mezcal, luxardo, pineapple, cilantro, and salt. My drink contained gin, pear & vanilla reduction, yuzu, pineapple juice, and orange bitters, and the combination was fruity sweet and not excessively sugary. One thing to note is that the establishment was pretty hard to find. One will need to look down to below the ground, the basement, and locate this place.

Had dinner at Do Not Disturb on a busy Friday evening. Not a very extensive menu but some interesting items. We started with the Crispy Rice Flight which was excellent - nice variety and well prepared. For entrees we had the Lamb Chop Barbacoa (very good), Smashed Burger (good but messy) and the Steak Frites (good). Friendly service, energetic atmosphere.

A true speakeasy, both entrances are down a small set of stairs in between two businesses so it can be hard to miss. Had a reservation for 4 pple on a Tuesday at 7:45 pm. It was lively but not crowded and we were seated immediately. Service was pleasant and efficient. The food however was a tad bit underwhelming. Nothing blew us away we had a few apps to share. Most flavorful was the Mac and cheese which comes with pork just fyi and that's what enhanced the flavor profile. Brussel sprouts had perfect texture but were bland. Chicken wings were perfectly crispy but again flavor was lacking. The Kale salad was solid no complaints. My friends had the crab crispy rice and one said it was good the other didn't like the flavor at all. However, we all agreed our drinks were good across the board. TBH I expected a little more from this location because of all the rave reviews.

Came here for drinks one evening and thought that it was a super cool space in the West Village. It can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but the cozy bar is located below ground level and a fairly small, intimate space. Service here was so friendly and I had a good experience. We got their 'Sexxy Red' and 'Do Not Disturb' cocktails. While I typically don't like dark-liquor based cocktails, I did think that their signature 'DND' cocktail was very well-made and good. I also enjoyed my 'Sexxy Red' cocktail. Would love to come back to try their food!

A speakeasy filled with culture and vibes. Elegant, intimate, and soul-filled. I had the sushi flight, the best thing on the menu in my opinion. The staff was comforting and checked in frequently but not to the point that it interfered with the dining experience.

This is a hidden gem. The customer service was excellent. The food was great. The atmosphere is very intimate and low key. It's off the beaten path. You could walk right by it if you didn't know it was a restaurant. Try the salmon with potatoes dish, that was really good.

Caught a last minute reservation for this hot spot. Vibes are immaculate! It giving modern cabin with fireplace that was perfect for a cold wrinter day. Upon arrival, security was super friendly and gave us a heads up about how busy it was. It was indeed busy! Unfortunately, the staff didn't do the best job at communicating. They seemed almost confused looking at the floor plan and walking back and forth of the space. I was told reservations were overbooked and had to wait almost an hour after my reservation. I really wanted to try this spot so we decided to stick it out. After being sat we were quickly greeted by the server. From here on everything was incredible. Highlight was the crispy rice flight (not pictured.). Will be back!

Again a winner of my 5 star review... this is a really cool out of the way place, cool speak easy vibes. We went early, was quite almost a romantic vibe... drinks and service were great, you can tell food was prepared with some culinary skill and attention to detail. Probably best to make a reservation. Ate 5 times that day and wasn't really hungry but I wanted to check it out. Wasn't disappointed. Love spots like this, really well prepared meals that are simple and laid back. If I could give this more than five stars.. I would.. DND is the most perfect spot for a date night hands down. We had our Valentine's Day dinner and this spot is known to be romantic all year round. Upon entering it's a small bar, to where u then enter the dining room one side is lightly lit while the other is dimly lit. We sat in the light den and I'm so glad we did. I live a dark romantic vibe but at the same time I like being able to see my partner and the food we get lol.. For starters, the head chef is 21 years old.. like that is insanely impressive!!! The food was phenomenal. Everyone gets the crispy rice flight where it's a mix of lobster, crab, scallop, tuna, salmon, and one other I forgot.. but the flavors of every single crispy rice was so so delicious. I would get it again in a heartbeat. The drinks were all great they're all fun named. I got the afterglow and the trick daddy, both yummy! We also got oysters, I love me some oysters so the only note I would have would be for $30 these oysters were TINYYYY.. prob what happens when u order it on a non "ber" month tho. We also shared a main, the lamb dish. The cuts of lamb were nice and hefty. The rice was flavorful and the pork was as well. I was full by the time this came out bc I devoured the crispy rice. The service was wonderful, super attentive, and took great photos of us! This is hands down the most romantic spot I have been to in the west village. I love a speakeasy restaurant/bar!!

The feel of the place give speakeasy. It's low lighting and very cozy. Music is to my liking and I am all for the playlist. You MUST have a reservation for 2 to have a table. So this is defiantly not the best solo date place but still doable. The menu is not big which is nice but can be hard when limited to non-seafood. I opted for the Crispy Rice Flight and it did not disappoint. Cooked very well and tasty. Wish it came with some side sauce for added flavor. The drinks are DRINKS and one has me feeling pretty ready for bed. Strong and to the point. Shoutout to the bartender. Overall I had a decent time I would return.

This is literally a hidden gem. Past it three times trying to find it. I had the mac and a cheese which was delicious. The craft cocktails were obviously the real star here. They were super creative with the mix and well-balanced, they are as beautiful to see as they are delicious. The bartenders really know what they're doing, and it shows. I love the dark feel of the bar. When the bartender is chatting with you it gives the bar that added personality. I love it here.

Popped in on a random Friday night, which I wouldn't advise w/o a reservation. Unless you are there for HH and posted up at the bar you will be standing and waiting for the next person to get up and people do not leave...lol! The other time I popped in was a Tuesday, which had less traffic but still busy. The vibe is speakeasy. it's dark, moody, and clean. Music was on point and added to the feel of the place. Great for a date night or a link up w/ friends. Their cocktails were the star of the show for me.. French Tips Do Not Disturb Berry Me Deep ...and my fav classic...Gin Gimlet on the rocks..lol! The mixologists are amazeballs! Love this spot! You will not be disappointed!

This review is not in response to the food, drinks, or ambiance- which are amazing. It is in response to the staff rushing you out so they can turn your table over and make more money. A friend took me there for my birthday. But instead of a relaxing time, we were continually stressed out by staff asking us to leave. It was really annoying. For the price you pay for the food and drinks, no one should be rushed. It wasn't as if we were there for four hours. For this reason, I would be wary in recommending this restaurant to other people - especially older people who actually need time for their food to digest and need more than 30 minutes to eat. read more

Had been wanting to try this spot and it did not disappoint. The space has a dark, speakeasy vibe that feels both fun for a night out and elevated for cocktails during the week. 3 1/2 Totally a fab. Loved the vibes as soon as I walked up to the spot. First greet was the doorman who was swaggy AF. The host was very welcoming. Pros - the vibes - playlist was ON POINT. Jam after jam -drinks were tasty af - kale salads a must get for table and the MAC was good AF -clean bathroom -they allow you to bring outside desserts for birthday Mids - SERVICE. While are server was nice, she was a little slow and very monotone throughout the night. (Seemed like she didn't want to be there tbh) -THE FOOD. Burger was good but nothing stood out especially for a $30 smash burger. Tuna had almost no flavor (maybe serve with a sauce or a little pinch of sea salt on top would set it off right) Cons - they initially sat our party of 6 at a very small booth made for 4 (had to ask for additional table) -the wings truly misleading from menu description. They are plain fried wings with a creamy sauce on side that wasn't good. -one person at the table didn't receive there food 10 mins after everyone else's food had arrived. Overall a chill time and I could see myself going back maybe for the drinks. read more

Not a bad spot for a couple of drinks and a meal. The food was solid; however, the kale salad was not. It was dry and honestly just not good. Everything else was spot on. The drinks were good, but the bartenders switched, and the 2nd drink tasted nothing like the first, even though the same drink was ordered. The music is LOUD, so don't expect meaningful conversation at the bar. The tables in the back are the best bet. Warning! The entrance is HARD to find. I stopped by Do Not Disturb on 2/20/26 for my birthday weekend (from DC/MD/FLA/GA) with a group of eight friends, and this place delivered in every way. We had a few last‑minute add‑ons to our group while we were already enroute, and ownership went out of their way to accommodate us so we could all sit together. That level of hospitality is rare in NYC. The staff was upbeat, attentive, and made the entire night feel effortless. We tried the Crispy Rice Party, East Coast Oysters, and Spicy Lobster Tagliatelle, Lamb Chop and every dish impressed us. The seafood was exceptionally fresh, flavors were bold yet refined, and the lobster pasta was especially memorable. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. Do Not Disturb Is without a doubt one of the best cocktail spots I have been to in NYC. The entire drink and food menu delivered all of the classics in an impressive and inspired fashion with innovative twists. The vibes were cozy and immaculate, and with a west village location this place has everything anyone could ask for. The highlights of this visit were the Mac & Cheese, Crispy Rice Party, Burger, and Smoke Show Cocktail. The service was incredible, and I cannot imagine a better place to bring friends or a date. Do Not Disturb is a great place to grab a drink and vibe with a friend or two. The ambience leans more towards grown and sexy, and it's probably a great place to host a party. The food was not the best when I went especially for the price and the expectations that I had before arriving and upon walking in. From the menu, you think you're going to get hit with great flavor combinations but I have to say it was a little lackluster. I was excited about the lemon pepper mala wings but they looked like frozen breaded Costco wings upon arrival and the flavor wasn't really there. The steak in the steak frites tasted like it belonged in a Chipotle bowl (it was still good but flavor wise that's what it was giving), and the hamachi crispy rice would've benefited from more acidity. My group ordered a variety of dishes, and we weren't impressed by many of them. If you do come, I'd get the burger and the Mac and cheese. I'll definitely be back for drinks but I'll be more strategic on the food next go around. read more

From the moment we walked in our bartender Dre was extremely hospitable and exceptionally kind. Oh my. What a provident experience. A step into a speakeasy with all the wonderful ambiance of a tight service gift. Great drinks and food. Dark and personal. A greeting at the door from a tall African Queen and a wonderful waiter/bartender from Ecuador. The food was epic and the specialty drinks on point. We had the Pillow Biter. Whew!!! This black owned establishment was featured on CBS Good Morning w/Gayle King. Bravo and thank you for a sensory tingling evening! I'll be back!!! . What an experience!! read more

From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a different era. The food was good, but the service was really poor, which therefore made the already high price unjustifiable, to me. We waited an hour and a half after placing our orders for apps and entrees, only for them to bring every single dish we ordered to our table at the same time. So by time we could get to the entree, it was cold. Our waitress was polite though, and took off my friend's drink as an apology for the inconvenience, but still. I personally didn't find the food extraordinary enough to want to deal with that again. read more

Do Not Disturb is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in NYC. The atmosphere is stylish and intimate, perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The cocktails are creative and balanced, and the food menu is full of standouts. We tried a little bit of everything--from small plates to mains--and everything was packed with flavor. They have a bar snacks menu (sliders, nuts, and the like). I had their thick cut fries and they were light, seasoned, and tasty. I couldn't stop eating them. Being that we didn't make our way to the spot on our trip last year, and were staying in Hell's Kitchen this time around, I wanted us to check out. The only challenge was actually finding it. If you're seeking out this gorgeous speakeasy. You aren't going to find it through some darkened alleyway or non-marked door of a building outside. No. You need to check the website and read between the lines of it being located within a sushi bar on West 46th Street. I could tell you the name, but what fun would that be? Figure that part out. But once you figure out how to access, the staff at said-sushi bar will direct you to the back of the restaurant to wheee you will see a sign for the bar and a stairwell to take you up to the second floor. Once you reach and look around, it looks at first you have reached a dead end between the emergency exit you see and a door that looks locked. There is a black curtain in the darkened hallway you need to notice and peer through. And alas, you will discover the bar that is Bar 369 Miroku. Once you have been checked for ID, and your party number, you are escorted into the small, darkly-lit enclave with plush decor, a bit of a Rolling Stones theme with its large poster hung in the back and artwork perched next to the bar shelving. It's an intimate and relaxed energy that makes it perfect to enjoy one of the Japanese-inspired cocktails on an evening after dinner. The hideaway offers a creative mix of craft cocktail options such as the Ichitaki Spritz (a variation of the Aperol spritz with sake in it), which was quite delightful that I enjoyed immensely within the dark lounge surroundings. If we were here more often, I would have taken advantage of their Japanese whisky selection that looked on point. There is a delectable charm to their curation and craftsmanship of their cocktails, combined with the luscious ambience that makes for a great hangout spot to get away and relax for the night. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

The drink menu is a ode to rum. All kinds of rum; spiced, dark, overproof, high end. Most of the cocktails are tiki cocktails, but do not be turned off if you don't like sweet drinks! It's a myth that tiki cocktails are all sickly sweet. A properly crafted tiki drink will be a great balance between alcohol, sugar, mint and acid. These drinks were properly crafted! I honestly cannot remember what Larry and I ordered but all four of our drinks were delightful! You really can't go wrong with any of their rum cocktails. We were with Larry's brother, who is not much of a drinker. He ordered a whisky sour made with Crown Royal. The whisky sour was a surprising standout! The sour mix is house made (of course), which elevates this drink from an overly sweet attempt to cover up cheap whisky to a complex beverage that can be savored. The jazz was great - they had 4 musicians (kind of a lot in the small room) who played 2 songs before breaking and returning for another 2 songs, etc, etc. The short sets were welcome as they allowed for conversation between the entertainment. What followed was one of the most ridiculous customer service experiences I've ever had. We were met by a group of very young, completely unprepared hostesses who seemed utterly clueless about the situation. Nobody knew where the bag was. Nobody knew who had logged it. Nobody knew who we spoke to on the phone. Nobody appeared interested in finding answers. I repeatedly asked for a manager and got nowhere. It felt like nobody in the building had the authority, training, or desire to solve a problem that their own staff created. Let's review: Your employee tells us the bag is there. We spend nearly $100 on transportation to come get it. We arrive. The bag is gone. And the response is essentially a collection of blank stares and shoulder shrugs. No urgency. No accountability. No explanation. No solution. I've never seen a business so casually waste a customer's time and money. We left feeling completely dismissed and frankly wondering whether anyone at Fraunces Tavern has any idea what customer service is supposed to look like. Hundreds of dollars spent at the establishment. Nearly $100 spent returning because we trusted what we were told. And in the end, absolutely nothing except aggravation, frustration, and a complete loss of confidence in this business. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

Although we arrived at 2pm, we were told there was a 40 minute wait, which ended up being around 15-20. We started with the sweet pea hummus dip which was unreal, it was so good. I got the chicken sandwich and my friend got the green shakshuka, and both were so fresh and delicious. We both decided we need to come back next time I'm back in the city!

Just give me a pita! What is that about? But okay, I ordered an extra pita, I'm still hopeful. But out of the 5 pieces of lamb in my kebab, two were *grisly*! They don't give you a sharp knife, so you kind of have to bite off pieces; but when a piece is grisly you can't tear off a piece and end up with a full piece in your mouth, chewing for many minutes around the grisly center. Everyone knows what this is like and it's to be expected in life, but NOT at a high-end restaurant where you've paid a significant margin above the average meal, and don't even get a full pita. Guys, do some QC and soul-searching - and be generous with pita.

The GM/host Jojo was rude, antagonistic, combative. Singlehandedly ruined our night. We arrived 30 minutes early to our reservation time (815pm) in hopes to have a drink at the bar. He greets us with a condescending tone 'you guys are super early. I'll find you when the table is ready.' Over an hour goes by (now 45minutes past our dinner reservation time) and he is nowhere to be found. I ask a bar waitress if she can check in on our reservation which she kindly does. She returns and asks if we checked in with the host which I confirmed. When the host finally returned I approached him and asked what the status of our table was. With ZERO empathy and ZERO remorse he dismisses me and tells me he's working on it (while rolling his eyes). He subsequently returns to our bar seating area and ridiculed me about my tonality when I approached him. My wife and I paid for our drinks and walked out. The venue looked great and the food looked promising, unfortunately it was all spoiled by the GM. read more

I found this place on social media, and I had been wanting to check it out for a while -- finally made it here! First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. It feels like a hidden gem that you almost want to keep secret, but at the same time you want to tell everyone about it. The vibe is moody and stylish, yet the bar counter feels welcoming and easy to talk at, making it a great spot to come with anyone. I came here for dinner tonight, and every dish was fantastic. But you absolutely HAVE to order the Smash Burger -- seriously, it's insanely good. I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend and we had an amazing experience.
