Always a great experience at Dobra. Today's lunch was miso soup and some hibiscus and lemon balm hot tea. 10/10. As a huge fan of hibiscus tea, Dobra serves what is probably the best I've had. Service is stellar, the staff is kind, and the vibe is comfortable. I make it a point to stop in when in the area

The charming entrance right on the main street in downtown Ashland. I love this tea shop!

Dobra Tea is my FAVORITE place to eat in Southern Oregon for many reasons: 1. The quality of the food is exceptional 2. They are consistent, which I value highly. 3. No matter what I order, it tastes absolutely delicious. And when I leave, I feel super healthy and filled with vitality. 4. The folks that work here are generally very sweet. Periodically, more training may be needed in how to serve customers properly, e.g., ensure they have utensils and follow-up after serving to make certain customers received all the ingredients in whatever they ordered, but overall their kindness and sweetness make up for any oversights. I have so many great memories of this place during the 12 years that my husband and I have lived here. I remember driving into Ashland in the middle of a snowstorm because I had an appointment with my yoga teacher and I do NOT cancel on her. After we finished yoga, I decided to pop in to Dobra tea and get a hot mushroom latte. I sat at one of the tables in the front room looking out at the snow falling. Almost no one was out and it was like being in the middle of a snow globe with a warm cup in my hand. Another time I was there with a friend for lunch. He ordered their avocado toast with egg, which I had never ordered before. He insisted I take a bite, which I graciously agreed to do. The flavors were so exquisite that it immediately became one of my many favorite things to order at Dobra. I learned they make their own English muffins, which is the "toast". Wow!!!!!! So many lovely memories here -- and I expect to co-create MANY more. Thank you for being so exceptional at what you do!

Dobrá Tea is a legitimate tea shop that seems like a great place to hang out and slowly sip on tea. Usually these type of places have amazing curated teas, but are mediocre on boba. Given the great reviews, and the fact that it's one of only a couple of places that sell boba in Ashland, we decided to give it a try. Classic Milk Tea, Half & Half, 24oz ($7.50) - The cashier told it the milk tea they serve is not very sweet and I can definitely attest to that. In fact, I'd go and ahead and say that the tea is similar to no sweetness at traditional boba shops. I believe in this drink, most of the sweetness comes from the boba brown sugar soak only. The tea aroma is somewhat chocolatey and cinnamony spiced in flavor. It's a little thin on body due to lack of sweetener and doesn't really have a great creamy element to coat the mouth. The ice level is perfect so it doesn't dilute the tea further. The tea is very good quality as expected but the mix seems like more European than Asian, perhaps stirred lightly instead of aerated well. It's like the milk tea I make at home by stirring with a spoon instead of rapidly shaking in a cocktail shaker to aerate it more. This is really rare of me to say, but I think the balance of the drink is off due to lack of sugar and/or half and half. It makes the drink very watery in mouthfeel and the taste just isn't there. The boba is also not the best. The exterior is a bit mushy while the interior remains kind of grainy and firm. Meh. They barely give much boba either, only enough for maybe a third of the drink.  Milk Tea Rating: 3.5/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 Overall I think the tea is very high quality, but as a boba drink it's only average or perhaps a little above average. I'd visit Dobra again to buy tea rather than for the boba. Bathrooms - Two larger rooms with multiple stalls

Amazing selection & variety of tea. Delicious nutritious bites to eat for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. Yummy smoothies, beautiful latte or chai art, and boba drink options as well. Dessert baked goods, such as the raspberry tarts go perfect with your choice of beverage. Service always helpful. Best for groups of 4 people or less. Love the peaceful atmosphere and cozy vibe. Go up to the counter to pay when done or order more. If you need further assistance, ring the very accommodating table bell.

Dobrá is a cute place to grab an afternoon tea and hang with friends. The ambiance is super cozy and everything you'd want from a tea house. I enjoy all the options for seating! There are 2-too tables with chairs, a cozy little couch area and then a traditional floor seating area with cushions. All the spaces are separate from each other giving you some privacy. The tea selection is very vast!! It is mostly more herb, garden forward teas rather than sweet, fruit teas. There is an entire page of only herbal teas without caffeine which I really appreciate as a non-caffeine drinker. They also have a few pastries that are all gluten-free options. It is pretty dark in there with the windows being covered and the "mood lighting." So it is more of a space to journal or quietly chat in with a friend. They do not have wifi, so this is not the place to come and work or study. There is free parking reserved for Dobrá tea customer in the back! Very helpful for when downtown gets really busy in the summer.

Very interesting tea place with a lot of tea selections! We bought different flavors to try and would like to come back to get some new ones.

A must do each time I come to Southern Oregon! It's such a nice spot to just sit and enjoy a nice cup of hot or iced tea. I love the way many of their teas are served; kettle, cup, milk and honey. I've tried so many that I highly recommend to do a new one each visit. Along with the tea, I always do their hummus & veggie platter along with their pita Lebanon. I've done their bowls too and the sir food has never disappointed! Healthy and filling, easy for 2 people to share. It's busy, each time I've visited there's always some foot traffic and the back room always has guests. The front and outside are your "regular restaurant" seating, but the back room has floor seating and couch seats with tables. When it's busy, it's busy but the workers are on it with multitasking and making sure everyone has what they ordered. 10/10 recommend if you're in the area!

Stopped in while visiting the area. They are very nice and give you a lot of healthy options for food. I like tea and they delivered!!!! Can't wait to go back

Nice change from most regular coffee and tea shops. The yummy, earthy tea came in a super cool tea pot, and lots of it! Full of flavor, very robust! The service was very slow, but we were not in a rush. While the seating is charming, the benches are not very comfortable.

We expected to be more impressed with Dobra Tea than was our actual result. I had to wait outside while my wife ordered for us, as I was carrying one of our puppers in a vest I was wearing (no biggie), so I was not privy to the exact details, but she reported that the girl taking our orders was not particularly friendly or helpful. She was said to have an aloof and rather unwelcoming demeanor, and that most questions were responded to with an air of impatience and mild annoyance. Compounding the experience, it took 20 minutes for our two raspberry black iced teas, and one hot Chai Masala tea to arrive. Our Goat Cheese and Tomato plate had already arrived, and been completely devoured, before they showed up, and the place wasn't particularly busy at the time. Still scratching my head on that one. The raspberry black iced teas were tasty, and I appreciated the light touch of sweetening, as most places tend to over-saccharine their brews. This ain't the deep south, people! No sweet tea here: Dobra done good on this point. No faults for the Chai Masala either, as it hit all the right notes of sweet and spice, and not over-steeped, which we expected, based on the time it took to arrive. There are things about the experience that could be improved here, but the end product is good. Not enough to make it a must-stop on a return trip to Ashland, but close enough to warrant at least mild curiosity the next time we're in the area.

Enjoyed afternoon break here after exploring Lithia Park - the tea presentation was beautiful, the cookie and butter cake tea cake were yummy, and the staff were so friendly!

LOVE this place. Order at the counter & then get comfy! The choices of tea are endless and the employees are very patient helping you navigate them. The little area where you can take your shoes off and sit on the floor to drink your tea is our favorite. It feels so authentic to the experience. We ordered: GABA oolong, masala chai, vegan raspberry chocolate mousse, baklava, and Lebanon pita. All were delicious and reorderable except the pita, as there was very little za'atar spice so we felt it lacked flavor. I'd like to emphasis how incredible the mousse was. Drink tea, chat, play cards, study, work remotely.... Dobra is the perfect spot!

    Tea pot - so cute.

The ambiance alone is great for spending time with your bookstore purchases. The service was friendly and quick. It was just the one guy when we were there, making coffees and running into the kitchen to make food. But it didn't take long to get our order. The kids had a steamer and a hot cocoa. They were a little warm for immediate drinking so maybe specify if you want your beverage less than normal hot for kids. The cocoa also had a bit of a cinnamon flavor to it. I thought it was delicious, but if you have a purist cocoa drinker in your party, again, ask! The adults drank drip coffee. It was tasty too! If you are staying in, you will get a ceramic mug, so if you want a paper cup let your barista know. The big win for me was the menu of gluten free pastries! They had regular glutinous things like burritos and quiche that looked tasty but the gluten free!!!! They partner with a bakery in town (sisters sans gluten) to have a variety of offerings. I had a poppyseed muffin, but they had other breads and muffins that all looked good. The offerings change, but I was so excited to see gf options at all. Highly recommend this spot! Also!!! They open at 9 with the bookstore, which is a full hour before the other shops on Main Street. Start your day here. You won't be sorry.

So long as what they offer is what you are expecting, this is a potentially fun social scene with lots of stimulus, over decent tea. However, if you are looking for a relaxing, professional tea experience, you will probably be disappointed. Not only are you constantly watching the clock to avoid running up a $40+ bill, (you pay by the 1/2 hour, which is not relaxing), they have a very limited selection of an exclusive line of re-branded teas that they choose for you. You are drinking what they are pouring, even if it's been steeped 10+ times prior to your arrival. They also under brew the tea from the start, so for the $10 per half hour you pay for what they consider their top shelf teas, you only get one decent infusion from the first round, that is shared between you and many others. Then the tea is diluted significantly, because they use about 1/4 of the amount of tea that they should for the size pots they are using, and for the number of infusions they need to brew to keep up with demand. At $10 per half hour per person, one would think they would honor that by putting enough tea in to match that. Then, if you do like what you drink there enough to buy dry tea to take home, you are paying for the branding, which is overpricing the tea by sometimes 800% over the actual market value of it (literally). So, if you go, go for the scene, because that is what is, and that is where they shine. What it's not is a professional tea house.
