AMAZING! We stopped to grab a bite to eat and some wonderful tea to drink as we drove home to California from Oregon. Our matcha tea was fantastic and the miso soup, veggies, and avocado toast were to die for. Definitely worth the prices, which really aren't horrible at all. We left with pu-er tea tablets and kava to try at home, as well as a TO DIE FOR coconut chocolate chip cookie (vegan, gluten free) for the road. He loves the use of the tea pots and cups. We don't get to go as often as we'd like because it's an hour away from us, but whenever we are in Ashland we like to grab some goodies. What I really appreciate about this place, is the alternative options for people with diet restrictions. For example, different milks and vegan desserts. I really wish I could say I had a good experience but the service made the experience unpleasant. I absolutely love Dobra!! They have amazing tea, & I feel like a little princess having a tea party when I sit on a cushion on the floor, ring my bell, & have my favorite tea brought to me in an adorable little tea pot. It's usually always been a great experience when I go there. I LOVE the Moroccan Mint tea. It's a massive amount of tea for a good price. I also love Dobra's special blend herb tea called, "open-hearted". Those are my two favs. The tea is always hot & fresh. The hummus plate is amazing, I love their pita Lebanon. My favorite dessert is the raspberry chocolate mousse, along with that amazing Medicine Ball of theirs! There was only one time I'd been at Dobra & had a not so good experience...... My friend & I sat down & waited for someone to bring us menus. 10 minutes went by, still no one..... 20 minutes went by, still no one.... Finally after 45 minutes, they called for Last Call to order anything from the kitchen. THEN the owner walked up to us & asked if we had gotten menus yet, & we said no. He apologized, brought us menus & paid for our tea because we had to wait so long. He was VERY apologetic & insisted that it would never happen again, & it never happened again. I still go there, I love it there! Most of the wait staff is very kind, I love the girl with short hair, sometimes colorful like pink or blue & I love the really nice young girl, I think named Piper. My husband stopped in downtown Ashland on the way to Beaver for camping 2 weeks ago. It was a Monday, the restaurant we originally stopped for was closed. So glad! The food at Dobrá was delicious, fresh, wholesome, and filling. My husband got the Locals Bowl and I got the Harmony. Neither disappointed but the dressing for the Locals Bowl was soooo yummy-you can never go wrong with garlic& lemon. My husband also got the Thai boba tea-he loved it. I came by this place by chance--but my love of tea brought me in. The atmosphere is super unique, there's different themed tea rooms. My boyfriend and I sat in the main room which had normal tables, but farther towards the back there is a room where you sit on floors with pillows. All across the walls are different tea pots for decor. Now on to the tea: they give a huge book with a wide selection of every type of tea you can imagine. To help decide there are descriptions under each tea which is organized by origin. I chose the Ceylon Tiger River. It's from sri lanke and it was Devine. It was served in this clay teapot with a matching cup. When it was served it was already steeped and ready to be consumed. My boyfriend ordered the vanilla cinnamon hot chocolate which he said was delicious though I didn't try it myself. I am twelve years old. I love to drink and make tea. I was visiting my grandmother in Ashland with my dad, and we went out shopping in downtown Ashland. We went into Dobrã Tea, AND WE LOVED IT. We went there every day after for six days, until I left. You can sit on the floor, or at a table, and they have their signature teas for sale. Everybody that works there are extremely friendly and recognize us every time we come. The whole average setting was thoroughly ABOVE average, and I loved the whole place. You should really try this place, it's great. And if it takes to long for someone to get your order, who is human also, don't bother them by ringing your bell all the time. They don't like it because it bothers other customers, I know because someone did it while I was there. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you, everybody! read more

Just plain weird and service is terrible we waited 45 minutes for one pot of tea we were just about to get up when it finally came. They have some excellent tea here, don't get me wrong. Big selection, cute pots and cups for sale, nice environment inside. I went here with my boyfriend. The girl behind the counter didn't seem to quite understand how their prices worked... We just wanted to get a pot of tea for us to share. But apparently they charge like a few dollars extra just to have another cup, so two people can share. And they obviously frown on you sharing one cup between two people. Um, number one, that's insane. Are you kidding. Number two, how can you seriously expect someone to drink an entire pot of tea?? Me and him both had a hard time finishing it! You'd have to sit there for hours to finish a whole pot alone. The girl didn't do very well explaining how their one cup, two cup thing worked so we ordered a small (thinking we could still share...??) and the guy (who was the owner) brought it out to us on their nice little tray and asked us if we understood their system and we were like, "um well we got a small to share.." and he said the small is for one person, and the large is for two people (even though small and large pots are the same size. you just get ONE EXTRA CUP.) and he apologized and said we could just have an extra cup for free, but to just remember for next time. Reasonable request. Don't know if i will go back there. Call me cheap, but having to pay that much more money for a god damn cup is ridiculous. read more

I could go on and on about how much I love this place! The whole experience is truly unique and unlike any other dining experience you will ever have. The interior features simple yet cute décor, and not to mention, the seating is on the floor! Every single person working here knows so much about the tea and the food! They are all so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! I recommend their selection of milk teas with boba (bubble teas listed on page 49 of their tea menu). My favorites are the oolong and matcha milk teas. And for food, the goat cheese and tomato plate is fantastic, and so is the avocado egg toast! They also have a variety of freshly baked sweets! The fig tart and the chocolate coconut cookie are to die for! I love this place and I will continue to dine here every time I visit Ashland! read more

My baby and I have been going to Dobra tea house to meet up with other mom's for a while now. Has great service and the environment is a fun and inviting place but, my only complaint is they have a policy against changing your baby in the facility, you can only change your baby in the bathroom. Normally I would be fine with this policy but the bathroom has no changing station or clean area to change my baby. Because of this I'm not going to support Dobra until they put in a changing station or make it more family friendly. read more

Very cute little shop. If I could, I would had stayed there for hours, but I had to hit the road. I was confused on where to order at first but an employee quickly helped me when I entered. I decided to get the oolong tea and their most popular drink, the forest dragon. I really liked both teas. I am used to drinking tea from large chain stores, so I was expecting a different taste. Okay, this place is sweet and cool Looking, but some things are way over priced and just so so. I got an ice tea. Just a black ice tea that was fresh and good, but it was $4.00 bucks and my husband had a chai. It was watery tasting and not delicious and rich how we like it. He ordered it with whole milk. We make tea all of the time all different kinds, all different ways and we were not impressed. We also were not a fan of ringing the bell every time we wanted the servers attention. A unique experience, relaxed atmosphere with very polite staff. This cafe offers a huge variety of tea from all around the world. I've tried the Turkish Rize çay that is a strong flavourful black tea. It is a good option for strong taste lovers for example whiskey drinkers. My husband got a green tea matcha smoothie with bubbles. At the back of the room, they have an elevated seating area where you can lounge without your shoes on. Gluten free baked goods are available and the herbal chocolate balls are super weird and rich and amazing. That being said, some of the stuff for sale in front was really pricy and not as cool as I expected. (I.e. One of my favorite places to go out to of all time. I used to manage two tea house locations years ago and these guys do it better. Perfect ambiance for a journal session, online work that needs to be done, or simply a date with a girlfriend. Love the live indian music nights. On first impression a wonderful establishment you walk through the door and there is a plethora of tea boxes and more. My girl asked a question about oolong tea and the person working in the shop was a smug jerk his response was so condescending it made me want to punch him in the face. Now I'm not that kind of person and certainly didn't want to do that in front of my girlfriend so I didn't say anything we left and upon reflection felt like we'd been totally disrespected and talked down to by this smug little prick we felt we needed to Yelp it and let other people know if you have an inquiry about their selection of tea don't bother going in the shop because they treat you poorly and make you feel stupid. So in summary I do know some things about tea and I know that oolong is a dark green tea that is commonly mistaken for a black tea. So the moral to the story is the employee or owner I don't know which or do I care but if it isn't the owner I would fire him as an owner if you want to stay in business. If it is the owner he she should be stricken by the black curse of economic disaster and fall into bankruptcy, his her blatant disrespect for my sweetness asking a question is deserving of an ass-kicking and if I was the owner of this establishment his her ass will be dragging on the street to the unemployment office. read more

I wish there was an option for 3 1/2 stars...because that's what I'd like to give Dobra Tea. I didn't find out that their products are completely organic and GMO free until my last visit (which clears up a lot of concern around the insane pricing). The first time I went, the server was incredibly condescending when I asked for a blended bubble tea. I only returned to the tea bar after I was invited by a friend. I purchased a matcha tea for $7 and was highly diasppointed. I realized afterward that it was probably my fault, as I generally associate matcha with green tea--and I'm fairly certain I ordered plain matcha (which is quite bitter and comes in such a small portion that it gets cold shortly after reaching the cup). The last trip I made there was much better. The service was friendly and the bubble tea was decent. In the end, it's clearly top-notch product and worth the price if you know what you are looking for. read more
