Absolutely LOVED this place!! The bloody Mary is the BEST!! There is literally a meal on top and everything was so fresh, tasty and just perfect!! The service was great! Noah Anthony the artist playing music was REALLY REALLY good, we enjoyed listening to him so much. TAKE A DOLLAR BILL, a marker and a way to fasten it somewhere in the bar!! My mom and I have been visiting Broadway for the past three years and I'm not sure how we missed Doc Holidays, but I would highly encourage you to go to the end of Broadway and visit this bar. This is a really small place with dollars plastering the walls & lots of character but what made it an amazing experience was the quality of the music. We wanted a good Bloody Mary and Doc Holliday's definitely has it. One of the best Bloody Mary's we have had and they are huge. The garnishes are a meal. The drink had a great flavor. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great and very attentive even though they were absolutely slammed this morning. Just about everyone coming in was ordering the Bloody Mary. They had Tombstone playing on the TV behind the bar. This will definitely be on our list the next time we are in Nashville. read more

Came here just for the jumbo Bloody Mary's and they were fantastic! Almost a meal in itself and so tasty. Bartender served them quickly and liked how they used Tito's vodka too. Kind of a hole-in-the-wall with tourist dollar bills taped all over ... so we had to add our own, of course! The solo guitarist playing at noon on a Thursday was also a nice touch. read more

What a fabulous place! Cool vibe with good music. We sat upstairs (small spiral stairs case to get upstairs). The bartenders were super attentive. We did try a shot they were making with OJ and Res Bull which was pretty tasty. The beer was cold and reasonably priced. read more

When I come to Nashville I love to come to 2nd Avenue. They have smaller bars and it doesn't get too terrible packed in the late afternoon. We popped in here and heard an awesome musician so we had to sit for a while and enjoy the music. The drinks were cold and the bartender was a hoot. The musician signing and playing guitar was AWESOME! There's lots of musicians in Nashville so it's hard to find a spot and singer you like, but this place had both. Spent few days in Nashville and visited this bar twice. We really enjoyed the bartenders there both in the lower level and on the top levels both times we really enjoyed tha service and atmosphere. Visit Caisey upstairs and the boys on the lower level. The musicians were also lively and great! We enjoyed it so much got a T-shirt to bring back to our home. Will visit back again when in Nashville. Oh and the prices were decent for Broadway bars. read more

Went to Nashville for a trip with some friends, all the bars off broadway looked at us like we were crazy for asking for a Bloody Mary (as they had no garnishes etc) one bar even told us they only serve "college drinks" and shots. Huh? Anyways, we ended up finding Doc Holliday's and oh my God what an amazing bar it was the bloody Mary's were spectacular and the bartenders were amazing (we loved Kaicy!!!) We even ended up there before heading to the airport before going home. Highly recommend this place, we will be back! read more

Dropped into this bar as I waited for a table at The Stillery across the street. The two artists playing were extremely talented and I loved the overall vibe of the bar. It's definitely a dive bar but it was still lively despite being just off Broadway. The bartender took amazing care of me, constantly checking in to make sure I was okay. He was even giving everyone cups of water to keep them hydrated without asking. Wish I got the guys name -- was an absolute doll and I wish I could shout him out. This hidden gem is barely two blocks off Broadway and in the midst of several other small bars, restaurants, and Two desert cafes, all still open at 8pm! We dropped in on a Monday night (only in Nashville) and caught a nice guy doing acoustic covers all night long (george straight, van morrison, chris stapleton, etc.). There are tables right outside the front door and that's where we sipped our beers and also enjoyed an ice cream dessert that we grabbed from the 5-star parlor across the street. Truly a quaint little block, just off broadway. As is so common in Nashville, no cover, but a tip jar. The singer took requests and we submitted one (Tennessee Whiskey, of course!) and bought him a drink at the same time. We ended up really liking this little joint better than the over-sized, over-loud, multi-story zoos clustered along Broadway. If I lived in N'ville I probably wouldn't post this, just to keep it our secret, Lol. read more

I don't know how this gem of a bar isn't packed. This was my second trip to Nashville and both visits we found our way into Doc Holiday's Saloon. Drawn in by fantastic guitarists and a clean, fun atmosphere... There wasn't a cover charge, and we were able to snag a seat at the bar with front and center views of the musician who was amazingly talented and played both covers and original music. The bar offered a limited selection of beer and does not have a cocktail menu, but they can make pretty much anything you would want. I couldn't decide on a drink and asked the bar tender to surprise me with something whisky. He brought a brought me back a cocktail with whiskey, ginger and cucumber, and I was surprisingly impressed with how good it was. Great music, and a tasty drink--Would definitely recommend swinging by if you find yourself in Nashville! read more

Only in BNA for a night and wandered in here off the main strip trying to get my bearings. We didn't have a clue where to start the night off , stopped on the street and looked up at the name of the place and considered it a sign. Being fans of Rot Halliday aka Doc, we figured he was guiding our way. What a fantastic find! Authentic dive bar aroma, locals on their fav stools, PBR on tap and sights and sounds of Nashville!
