After the tour, you are gifted with a candy cane! You are then led into their candy store. You obviously don't have to purchase anything, but to complete the experience, it doesn't hurt to walk away with some chocolate. (: I'm not from Colorado, so I'm not sure if the prices were cheaper or more expensive than the grocery store (I'm going to assume more expensive). Regardless, we did buy some things. I got a Hammond chocolate bar, some discounted chocolate from their clearance section, and their popular Mitchell Sweets. The Mitchell sweet is $2 for a small packet! My husband liked it, but I thought it was extremely sweet and I only took the tiniest bite. I feel like that little packet can go a long way because of the sweetness. They charge $0.10 for a bag. I didn't want to pay for a bag, so I just used my paper hat as a tray. lol Overall, I did enjoy the visit. I picked up a couple of items and my friend wanted to buy a few pieces to take home but was told she had to buy a certain amount in order to get them packaged up. My friend didn't want to purchase that many items but she wanted her items wrapped up to take home to her girls. She declined. I ended up purchasing a few items including one single piece of chocolate to share with my friend and it had to be eaten right away which was fine with me. We both left there and felt the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming mainly because of the older woman (owner?). She wasn't rude--just not very friendly. After trying the chocolates, I didn't think they were all that great. Definitely not for the price.

But, lately they have been on top of it! We've been here twice since our last bad incident and it seems to be getting better. We don't eat there, my husband orders to go and we enjoy having their food at home.
