Noodles and Company would have probably been my favorite restaurant in college - quick, cheap pasta dishes. But in my mid-30s, it doesn't have much to offer. I gave it a go with some Pesto Cavatappi - corkscrew pasta with chicken, basil pesto cream sauce, garlic, tomato and parmesan (minus the mushrooms). There really wasn't a whole lot of flavor to speak of. It also wasn't very hot, hence why the cheese barely melted. Everything kind of blended together into one bland mixture. I actually enjoyed the salad most, which was just some mixed greens, a few croutons, and some dressing. Five star as compared with similar fast casual dining options. We came in starving after a long day, arriving just after 8:30 pm. This is close to closing time, yet the staff greeted us warmly and didn't act annoyed that we were dining in and taking up space right up til close. I haven't been to a Noodles in a long long time cuz they'd taken my favorite dish off the menu. My son informed me that they now serve "zoodles" and I knew I had to give them another try. I was happily surprised with the flavor and quality of my meal. I ordered the zucchini spicy peanut sauté, size regular. I immediately saved about 1/2 for the next day and had plenty to enjoy for dinner. The dish had a nice crunch of veggies and was tasty. Daughter ordered her standard penne rosa and was happy per usual. I originally thought this was going to be a terrible Asian restaurant, but was surprised to see that the menu had a variety of pastas, Asian noodles, bowls, etc. I ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles which was stir fry udon with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, and bean sprouts. I added shrimp to the dish. Noodles had a sweet and spicy soy sauce which was pretty good. I also ordered the Thai Curry soup and it had rice noodles with some veggies. It was a nice soup to drink along with the noodles. The staff was great as I mentioned that it was my first time visiting the restaurant. I usually don't review "fast food" places like this.... but for a resturant I used to like a lot, they sure have gone downhill. I was craving some type of Ramen or similar dish for lunch, but there wasnt really any restaurants around me that I could find. I looked at the menu for noodles online and decided to go based on the "Spicy Korean Beef Noodles" It had what I was looking for, ramen noodles in a spicy sauce with beef and veggies. Sounded great! ..... What I got, was a bowl of what tasted like old reheated dried out noodles, soaked in this sticky, overly sweet, not spicy, overpowering sauce that had a strange funk to it, and maybe like three bites of actual beef. This wasn't even edible, let alone worth the price they charge. I couldn't believe I had just spent over $10 on this dish at a fast food joint. I have gone to PF Changs down the street for this price and had a delicious lunch. Here is the best part.... a few hours later I got very sick! It was ok. The only thing I would go back to try would be some of their mac and cheese. I got the Pad Tai and my boyfriend got the truffle mac and cheese. I tasted his and it was bursting with flavor! It was supposed to come with mushrooms, which I felt they skipped on. From what I saw they put about two or three in them. My pasta was ok. Nothing to write home about, and definitely not worth ten dollars for a regular serving! My Pad Tai came with scrambled egg, peanuts, onions, and a couple other things. The peanuts were so small it was like they went through a food processor. There was maybe a quarter of an onion in the whole serving and basically nothing else. There was a whole egg scrambled at the bottom that I had to cut up. It wasn't cooked and mixed throughout. They skimp on everything except the pasta. You're paying for pasta... That's it. And I didn't feel that there was enough sauce. I did feel that the flavor was good though. But again, I would only go again to try the mac and cheese. I didn't think the place was that dirty as I had seen other people say. But I guess it depends on the day and time you go. Their service was ok. The girl who rang us up had zero emotion or character. She kind of whispered hello when we got there. It was my first time and we stood looking at the menu for a while. She never asked if we needed help or if it was our first time to explain anything to us. She was just... Kinda there. The lady that served the food was nice. I think she might have been a manager. I did see another girl come up front from the back. Not sure if she was cooking or what... But she had her hair in a ponytail and pulled through the back of the work hat... With no hair net. I think this is why so many people are posting about finding hair in their food. When you wear a hair net you don't have this issue. I was vastly disappointed by the tea machines. They had sweet and unsweetened. I put a little bit in my cup to taste it. There was a half a teaspoon in the quarter cup of liquid in my cup! There were sugar crystals piled on the bottom of my cup! And the taste was horrible. Way too sweet. I rinsed out my cup with water from the machine and got soda. I could yell that the nozzle was not cleaned regularly because I got regular Dr. Pepper and it tasted like there were other flavors added. This happens when you don't clean the nozzle every night. Overall, I won't be back soon and I wouldn't bother wasting your money on their food. If you want pasta...go to the store, buy it, get the sides, and make yourself a nice dish. I don't know why the description of Noodles and Company says Chinese. There's nothing Chinese on the menu. As the name implies it serves noodles from mac and cheese to pad thai to pesto cavatappi. Most of you have probably already visited a Noodles and Co and the food is predictable--fast, inexpensive, and reasonably good. I have noticed some variation between locations with regard to food portions. I visited this location today and the portions were large and service friendly. This location doesn't seem busy. There are two other parties here and the place is relatively large. There is free wi-fi and nice covered outdoor seating as well. read more

In general, I like Noodles. Now they aren't the end all be all of noodelries (that's a word right?) but it works in a pinch. Personally, I'm partial to their Pesto Cavatappi. Not sure if these are at all healthy, but they are pretty tasty and my girls also like them. My youngest ones really like the mac n cheese and I don't mind buying that for them cause unlike so many places w/mac n cheese fort kids, it's not the orange kraft kind. One complaint I have, and this is for Noodles in general, not this particular location are the prices. C'mon people, it's noodles after all. Next someone is going to start charging a lot for rice or breakfast cereal. My complaint for this particular location is this. I like the pesto, but I don't want it to just have a hint of green, I want some sauce on there ok. The past two times I've been, I've specifically requested (and been charged for) extra sauce while ordering only to recieve a decidely under-sauced dish of cavatappi. Now, most people might just go to the counter and say, uh, hey, this isn't what I consider 'extra sauce' and get it fixed. I, on the other hand, am normally juggling my 4 little ones and it would be a considerable pain in the rear to have to hold peoples hands to get my order right! No thanks, not doin it! Okay folks. Here goes. I like Noodles. I believe you either are a fan or can't stand this place. Period. You don't just wander in and say, "eh, don't love it but I have it." Anyway, all noodles are identical. Food is great but the same. The menu rarely changes. You can put whatever meat on it you want but you can't change the spice level. It gives you choice but not too much... don't go choice crazy. They also organize it nicely. Italian, American, and Asian... easy to decide. I am a fan of the Trio option. You get a smaller portion of noodles, a meat (or tofu), and either a soup or salad. It's great. Good portion control and a nice variety. I also recommend getting their asparagus dish when it is in season! DELISH!!!! Okay but the real reason I wanted to write the review was one particular employee at this location. I don't know her name but she is very noticeable. I think of her as the Noodles ambassador. She is cheerful and happy and perky all the time. She is kind and thoughtful. This is a decent quick lunch place. If you want noodles, soup or salad they have it. It quick and easy to dine in or take away. You can get noodles with an Asian, Italian or American flair. They're used to hordes of office workers flooding the place at lunch time and are total champs at getting through that line. I came here on day #2 my boss was visiting. It was packed - very busy during the lunch hour. We both ordered the Chicken Pesto Pasta which is my favorite. My boss really loved it! These people are the best! I ALWAYS get the best customer service, I always get great food, and I'm always happy when I go to this Noodles and Co. The staff rocks my socks off. If there's ever a problem, they fix it immediately, (though there are rarely any issues.) They always go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy. I'm a regular and they all know me by name and greet me cheerfully when I come in. If I ever have to wait for my food, (I usually call in my order from work,) they're always apologetic, but it's never an issue. They're always fast, even on their busy days. When my husband picked up the order he didn't check but when he got home, I realized they made it with the normal flour pasta noodles. BUT, I wrote through their APP online my complaint and told them what happened. I asked about their APP working properly and not carrying over what i had written under the special instructions.
