    BURRATA E CAPONATA DI MELANZANE
    Kassiel G.

It's been 4 days and I'm still dreaming about the Burrata. The warm eggplant and tomatoes underneath compliment the fresh burrata so well, I really can't recommend this app enough. We got the bread for the table and I used some of it for the dish as well. Fantastic. The bartender Josh was also incredibly friendly and sweet! Going back again for the food but also for him! He came out and explained his special cocktails for the day; I got his Apple espresso martini- delicious!! We weren't too hungry so we just ate an app but we are already planning to come back for a proper dinner on date night. The inside is very cozy despite actually being very large and spacious! As soon as you walk in the vibes are great for intimate parties of 2, but walking further back and to the right leads you into a bigger space great for larger parties. You can tell the decor was meticulously chosen and intentional to the energy of the room. Highly recommend :)

Doc wine bar has the best ambiance. You can sit inside, outside, at their bar, or on a cozy circular couch. REAL candles flood the space and make it look very intimate and cozy. The servers are all straight out of Italy, which is a great thing for an Italian restaurant. The pasta is all made fresh daily and they offer specials so don't forget to ask about them. I've been here a couple times and the pasta is always the best thing on the menu. The wine by the glass is okayyyyy, maybe I got the wrong thing. BUT the cocktails are amazing and the bartender is great! Also they always accept walk ins!

I used to love this place, it us getting so bad, they serve crostini on white bread, but on the menu says sourdough, horrible

I've been a long time frequenter of the DOC Wine Shop nearby on Broadway, and I finally made it to their sister restaurant on Wythe. If sitting on the sidewalk here sipping on a glass of natty wine when the temperatures have come down in late August isn't the Brooklyn dream, then I'm not sure what is. We shared a pasta with their pistachio-based pesto and their gnocchi gratin. I'm a sucker for any dish that uses pistachios in a savory context, and the pesto was definitely the highlight of our meal, with a hearty nuttiness that felt like a revelation. The gnocchi gratin was on the heavier side, and didn't quite fit the mood of the evening.

INCREDIBLEEEE FOOD! OMG. The food here!!! We stumbled upon this place with my 16 year old daughter and everything we tried on the menu was world class!! TO DIE FOR. What a find!! We felt TRANSPORTED to Italy and the service was beyond compare. We discovered a true gem. The bread, olives, bolognese pasta, eggplant parmesan, ceasar salad, we're going back to try ribeye steak, linguine ala vongole and MORE. The romantic, relaxed ambiance is gorgeous - when I say we felt transported - i cannot stress that enough! Service superb!!!!

Came to grab a drink with a friend. The atmosphere is so cozy and intimate. The service was also very nice. I ordered a glass of wine, and they let you taste test it before pouring the rest. My friend ordered a cocktail. We both enjoyed our night caps. I didn't order food, but I definitely will be coming back again!

We were here for a very sad occasion, a celebration of life for a dear person who passed way too young. This was the perfect venue for it. The restaurant is lovely, the food was delicious, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the drink choices. Later we had dinner, and everything was wonderful. I had a little bit of a number of things, but was already full from all the hors d'oeuvres. The Eggplant Parmesan was very good, as was the beet salad, which had beets so thinly shaved, you could practically see through them. The tiramisu dessert was also scrumptious. I don't know how I managed to eat any as I was so full, but I did have a few spoonfuls. Even the bread basket was great, with thin crisps of air in them. I'm not sure what they're called, but it was a thin crispy flatbread that was like eating crispy air. Absolutely delicious!

Beautiful place , excellent location super cute beautiful inside and outside like a little small town in Italy. This place is in Brooklyn on a very up-and-coming area. The prices are very reasonable and the owner will greet you as you come in , order the pasta, Bongi, or the specials of the day, which are amazing. You will not be disappointed. Everything is homemade, and nothing is frozen. Everything is very fresh.

DOC Wine Bar in Greenpoint is an Italian wine bar serving Sardinian food. For dinner we started off with Pane Carasau, Sardinian flatbread with rosemary and salt and burrata. For pastas we had the fettuccine special and cappelletti special with guanciale and truffle cream, ravioli with sage butter, and malloreddus with pork sausage and tomato sauce. For dessert we had a decadent chocolate cake with icecream and heart-shaped panna cotta. While not our favorite Italian spot in BK, DOC has a great, affordable wine menu and good pastas. We recommend sitting in the back room to enjoy a more romantic ambiance

Sardinian Flatbread and Pappardelle alla Bolognese
    Jillian C.

    - Sardinian flatbread was a a good portion. Not much flavor, kinda oily. Not my thing but maybe people like. - Pappardelle with bolognese was not really good. Kinda salty from all the cheese that was put on it. The portion was small and not worth $24 on seamless. There was not much sauce on it and because there wasn't a lot of sauce the pasta dried out and stuck together. - I got the tiramisu, it's a generous portion size. It was good. I am disappointed and probably will not be ordering from here again.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

All the drinks keep with the tropical, fruity taste with a hint of spice. They are also broken up into categories (dry land = no alcohol, shallows = average amount of alcohol, and abyss (larger amounts of alcohol). The abyss section has some cocktails that are limited to two per customer. They have some bar bites like fried green tomatoes, shrimp toast, broiled oysters, ricotta, dumplings, sliders. Calling him a bartender almost feels like an understatement--he's a true cocktail craftsman. I was amazed watching him create drinks based simply on a few words or flavors we mentioned. It felt less like ordering a cocktail and more like collaborating on one. Of course, he also nailed the classics. The Clover Club and Gimlet were both perfectly executed, and my husband tried three different whiskey cocktails throughout the evening and loved every single one.
