LOVED the fact that you can pre-order because i hate waiting in lines and not getting doughnuts (which never happened but it is my worst fear when i am in line for an hour for flourbox). If flourbox's doughnuts have the best cream, i would say doce have the richest texture and sweetness. The taste could be overwhelmingly sweet but isn't that the point of getting dessert? Lots of style, little flavor or satisfaction. Had a small variety of donuts; all except the passionfruit creme brulee were underproved with a distinct raw dough flavor and texture. All had very muted flavors, much less than their inspiration. They're like La Croix. Perfect for when you want sparkling water with a hint of grapefruit. But who wants a churro donut with a hint of churro? Just eat a churro, which is already a donut. Or who wants a matcha tiramisu donut with just a hint of matcha and has nothing to do with tiramisu? All the donuts were like this. Except the passionfruit creme brulee. That one was a winner, although it had the same underproved dough problem. I don't know if it's worth $6. Overall very pleased with these donuts. It helped that I did not have to stand in line. I tried 3 of their donuts that stood out to me the most - passionfruit creme brûlée and guava queso were absolutely delicious. Truly distinct and delectable flavors that are hard to find in other bakeries in north Seattle. The tres leches donut had the most aesthetic appeal and it was quite good. My only qualm with this one was that it tasted much better without the chocolate crust. With the crust there's too much happening so I peeled off the crust and more clearly tasted the tres leches flavor. Really happy there's a top donut place in the neighborhood. Great flavor combinations and good business storylines couldn't cover up the fact that the product was way over priced for a dry doughnut. Purchased at 10:30 consumed by noon with one of every flavor shared with group and every doughnut but the cream filled was dry! When I say over priced, I am willing to pay $6.50 for a doughnut. Yet that doughnut needs to reflect the quality that price demands. You can pay fare wages and use quality ingredients to make a better doughnut but if that doughnut is dry and doesn't meet expectations, then did you really make a better doughnut? read more

Yes, the lines are long but the staff does a good job working quickly and the donuts themselves are not only soft and fluffy but the toppings are delicious. Not great. This place has been blowing up my instagram feed so I made a special trip to Seattle to try it out this morning. They are very pretty (I.e. instagram worthy), but the flavor was totally meh. They were not very flavorful or even sweet, they weren't super soft and a tiny bit dry. The guava cream cheese one was nice but I wouldn't come all the way back just for that donut alone. I tried the passionfruit crème brûlée - the crunch on top was nice and the filling wasn't bad but it was just a bit dry and lacking some sweetness. The Mexican chocolate - the chocolate topping had a decent flavor but on a thick bland donut it just wasn't enough to save it. The tres leches had a fluffy topping but was very one note tasting. The blackberry lemon was the worst - no blackberry flavor and the filling was super sour and eggy - yuck. The strawberry jam - the jam was nice actually but the donut was dry and bland. The price of these donuts is quite high and the flavor just didn't stand up for me. read more

Finally got to try this place this week! I would recommend going on a weekday because the line wasn't bad at all. The family working here is so sweet! The donuts were delish I loved the churro and dulce de leche one the most and then probably the strawberry hibiscus. Yes $5 for a donut is a lot but if you think about the cost of ingredients, livable wages, and rent in Seattle... it makes sense. I felt like it was warm and welcoming in the shop and I loved sitting outside to eat them. Overall so good :) read more
