Brought 7 woman for breakfast while hosting a friends getaway. 15 minutes till a server appeared. 10 to get 2 coffees. And another 10 for the milk. 5 more before taking orders and, all said and done over an hour to get food. Thank goodness everyone enjoyed their breakfast. As we knew they would. I wasn't disappointed, but I'm used to awesome places to eat in VA. I just got the basics, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and home fries. The home fries were the best part. Food is OK here at the service is terrible Staff has a major attitude Came here because we would receive two Groupon's as a gift and they would never let us use them never helped us with how to use them so we wound up spending $70 in two visits for two people was definitely not worth it! We have been coming to Dockside since pretty much the day it opened. Food is always quite good. However just be warned that as soon as the unwanted masses converge on our town from Pennsylvania and New York essentially every weekend is ruined and Dockaide is no exception. All of the businesses in this need to remember who keeps them in business the other 9 months of the year. If not for this the dockside is a five star. read more

This is my favorite breakfast cafe down the shore! They only serve breakfast and lunch, and it's delicious. It's a small cafe, so if you're heading there on a Saturday or Sunday morning in or out of season, make sure you get there before 8:30 for breakfast or you will be waiting to sit. Everything for breakfast is the best, hands down including the coffee and potatoes the omelettes are served with! I usually get the Elissa (each omelette has a name), which is feta, tomato and spinach. You have a choice of regular eggs or egg whites. Today, I got the Elissa with no cheese and replaced the potatoes with fresh fruit for a couple extra bucks (I'm trying to diet lol). The kids got silver dollar pancakes which were gone soon after they arrived. The portions are perfect, you never feel like it's too much food...just enough. The omelettes are not greasy like they tend to be in certain diners. It's a very relaxed, quick turnover type place. It's also great if you have small kids and babies since it's pretty loud. Just what the name implies, this sunny and spotless cafe sits on an inlet of Little Egg Harbor. There are a steady stream of commercial and sport boats for entertainment. Our midday meals included a Spanish omelet (excellent salsa) and a broiled flounder special (terrific) that included potatoes and mixed vegetables. Easy parking, friendly service. Found this hidden gem on my way home from a road trip & I have nothing but great things to say. We enjoyed breakfast including all the works - eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, pancakes, French toast, toast, and coffees; everything was delicious and under $30!! All the servers were super friendly, service was fast, food was tasty, prices are affordable, AND there's a nice view on the creek with outside tables. the absolute best breakfast EVER! Hollandaise so creamy and delicious it'll make your toes curl. The corned beef hash was an epiphany, super thin and "what the heck is that heavenly seasoning???" Terrible service, undercooked food. My girlfriend and I went to eat there with our son. she ordered sausage that was supposed to be in the omlette on the side. She bought us one. My girlfriend asked if she could have another one and she would pay an upcharge. The said it would be $4. They would charge her as a side order. FOR ONE MORE PIECE OF SAUSAGE. Fine. Then our son started eating the sausage, complained about the taste. Both were pink and undercooked on the inside very much so. She gave the waitress back the sausage links and asked for the chopped up sausage that would've been in her omlette and she would just put it in herself. The waitress was 5 ft away from us yelling with attitude "now they want the chopped up side-yea I know-now they want that." Repeating that sentence over and over. Our blood pressure was rising now. We got the bill, turns out they still charged up for the undercooked sausage my son is now sick from-the make waitress took it off the bill after we complained and the waitress said "they had like 12 sausages!" Never coming back here again and advise everyone as well as my friends to do the same. read more
