First time here. Came as a recommendation from my BIL. Excellent food, our waiter was great. A must do while in Harrisburg, PA.

We went to dockside tonight for a bday celebration. Not only did they follow the Covid rules and "played nice" with PA regulations, but our bartender Jen was WONDERFUL! She was attentive, funny, kept our drinks full, and made sure our birthday girl had a great time. We know times are so hard for servers, bartenders, and restaurants right now so we wanted to recognize wonderful service beyond our tip! Jen you're my spirit animal! read more

Dockside Willies was my favorite restaurant but after today, I will never step foot in the place again. Our Capital Rebirth team wore Juneteenth T-shirts and were basically denied service. They paged our buzzer twice and when we went inside both times to be seated they said it was an accident. Meanwhile, other larger groups that came after us were seated before us. read more

Came here a few times for lunch in large groups. Never had a bad experience. They have so many options - even Chicago deep dish, though I wouldn't highly recommend it. I ordered the crunchy burger on the seasonal menu-it was huge but so delicious. Service was pretty good too. Went here for lunch, ordered the river rocks, which were good, but the server, an older lady named Cindy, left something to be desired. She was very abrasive, rude, came by once to see if I was ok, practically threw things at me, called me "honey" constantly, etc. Her attitude STUNK! Dur to these factors, I almost asked to speak to the manager; however, if I go to DW again, I WILL be requesting a different server. read more

The Service was awful! waited a Solid hour and half to eat. Ordered appetizers drinks and shots. The server took 30 minutes just to bring our drinks. Never brought us a single refill. Kids had to hunt her down just to get a refill on lemonade. Finally brought food out after we asked for a manager and he offered nothing. Almost 2 hours later and he said the ticket was only 26 minutes ago. So because our service was awful we wasted almost $200 on food we didn't even want anymore. Let me preface this review by saying I have been to this restaurant multiple times over the past years. Food is decent, service is hit or miss. Bar-the bartenders are attentive and friendly. I haven't sat at the bar in a year so not sure who they are now but they were always decent when I went herein the past. Draft list is ok, you have your domestics and just a few others but nothing too extensive. I do feel non happy hour draft prices can be a bit much but they do have daily specials so check those out. The mixed drink menu is pretty decent and inside the food menu. This trip I had a "Not so old fashioned" which had blueberries in it. I couldn't taste the blueberry and it was a very sweet drink so probably wont order that again. The view- deck seating is nice although a bit cramped. We could hear the entire conversation of the two men who sat next to us so that was a bit of an annoyance. The lower level of the deck has a bar and in the summer is like a "tiki" bar complete with sand. There is a shaded part of the upper deck as well. Sitting along the river is a nice treat and great view. If you dont like bugs dont sit outside..not sure why people complain about this. Food-the menu is extensive and like a book. Wings, burgers, salads, crab pretzels, entrees, fresh pizzas. The chicken tenders and fries are the best I have ever had (you can also get these at dukes). The bbq is good too. I noticed they have changed the menu a bit, I used to get turkey bbq but it is now gone. This last trip i got a bbq chicken stack salad which was very good. Fiance got the sliders and some wings which he thought were also good. No complaints on the food. I also really loved the loaded baked potato with chicken and alfredo sauce! Service-this can be spotty at best. Our server seemed to be very distracted during our last visit. We were seated and probably waited a good 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table to ask about drinks. I was about ready to tell my fiance that we could just leave because it took so long. We ordered waters and a mixed drink and a beer. The alcohol finally came out but no waters, and the waitress disappeared. Drinks seemed to take forever to arrive at our table. We had to remind her once she took our food order for the water again, which she finally brought. Our waitress messed up the wing flavor order, its like she wasn't really paying full attention..scatter brained as I would call it. We were here on a monday night after the dinner rush and it wasn't too crazy of a crowd so not sure how she would do on a weekend or when its really busy. Overall DW's is a good place to try if you are in the area. Its not earth shattering food but you should be able to find something you like, the view is probably the best part. Our bill came to a little over $50 with a entree style salad, 6 wings, sliders, 2 beers and a mixed drink so I think thats a fair price. read more

This establishment really changed. It used to be great service with great food. Sad to say that changed. The bar staff has no idea how to make a drink. Tonight our drinks tasted like sugar syrup to the point that we didn't even drink them after one taste. Our food was so-so. I had chicken parm which was partially burnt, with the pasta sitting in a pool of water. My friend had korean tacos which were ok but not really Korean. To be fair we didn't address any of our concerns with the staff as they seemed completely frazzled. We also had to ask for silverware and then wait for about 3 minutes while our food was in front of us. We are long time customers but very sad to say that we won't be returning here any time soon. I think you should try one of the other comparable restaurants in town. If you decide to ignore this review, don't be discouraged by mobs of people waiting for a table. They seat you fast. read more

The crab pretzel and the river rock appetizers are not to be missed! The chicken parmesan is solid. The Italian calzone was delish! The half pound burger is huge - my 22 year old nephew barely finished it. Travis the server was fantastic! He was attentive but not overbearing and super patient when my nephew was super super late. If not for the waterfront, this place would fail. Average in every way and they lost all of their personality after it burned down. The outside sandy bar that was the big draw isn't even open. The food is literally a duplicate of Dukes menu. Bartenders are average to poor, slow, and impersonal. Still gets packed so I'm sure the owners don't care, but all around meh. read more

I've been going to Dockside for years. My favorite drink is the Mango Bango, and the food is always good. I recommend the pizzas, chicken Parm, and orange chicken stack. The environment is great, and the view of the river is pretty. My only complaint is the service is always extremely slow, and the lack of server training and knowledge of the menu is very evident. read more

Dockside Willie's in Wormleysburg offers casual American/Pub dining that includes 2 bars and a seasonal outdoor deck boasting a beautiful view of the Susquehanna River. I typically visit here for dinner with my family and/or friends. With nature willing, the outside bar is a choice spot for food, drink, conversation and some jukebox tunes. I've also been happy to catch a live music performance on the deck. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and if they don't know the answers to our questions about the menu, they find a staff member who does. The last two times we were there, I ordered a cheeseburger. By far one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, just how I ordered. Absolutely over flowing with the mushrooms and onions I asked for, along with plenty of mayo for the burger, and ranch dressing for the fries. In the summer you can't beat the view, and we love it out on the deck. We've only had one bad experience here with food, and the staff was very apologetic. When you sit inside, the music can be a bit loud, making it really hard to hear the person you're sitting across from. The only time we felt it was too loud, our server had them turn it down a little, and we were able to enjoy our meal. read more

Took my wife there Monday night 06/06/16. Beautiful night, outdoor seating, and that was the end of the good. 1) We had to ask to have the table wiped down, although the table was empty, it still had dried up drink spills and a gritty feeling on it. Waitress finally came with a little wet napkin and did a half-ass job of wiping the top off. 2) I ordered a 22 ounce draft beer but what was delivered was their normal 16 ounce draft. No explanation. I had to ask what happened to my 22 ounce draft and was then told they were out of 22 ounce glasses. Gees, the restaurant was only half full and they were running short on glasses! 3) When we ordered we also asked for some Vinegar and some yellow mustard. The bottle of Vinegar we got had about 1/8" of vinegar in the bottom. Enough for one shot out of the bottle. The Mustard plastic squeeze bottle had the labels all rubbed off of it and the scrapes of label left all bunched up on the bottle. It looked like it was from the first day they opened! I asked the waitress if we could get a newer bottle of Mustard and was told "Oh, there all like that. They get that way because of the way they store them overnight." What ever happened to "Yes, I'll be happy to get you a new one!" We didn't get a new one and I didn't want to get pissed off over a squeeze bottle of Mustard even though the whole action did piss me off. We even took a picture of the Mustard bottle because we couldn't believe a restaurant would even consider putting that on a customers table. 4) We ordered and waited. Took a while before the food came and it was cold! Fries were cold, fish was cold. After the Mustard problem, I didn't complain. I should have but I would only get upset and we would have to wait longer for our food. 5) Asked for some ketchup for the fries and burger. Waitress finally dropped a squeeze bottle on the table and walked away. The bottle had 1 squeeze of ketchup in it and it was EMPTY. Had to wait for the waitress to come back by, took a few minutes, meanwhile we are waiting before we start eating because of NO KETCHUP. We were finally able to flag waitress down and get another bottle of ketchup. She seemed to know it was empty when she first delivered it. 6) I had some gift cards from their sister restaurant Dukes next door. When I got the bill I asked if I could pay with the Dukes gift card and the waitress said she didn't know and made no effort to find out. She just stood there and expected me to pull out another form of payment to pay for the meal. I then handed her the Dukes gift card and told her to go find out. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SUCH A HASSLE!!! She returned with the charge receipt on the Dukes gift card and said yes, they can take them because the "owner" had been getting so many of them they decided to accept them. SUCH A HASSLE!!! My wife and I talked about the poor service and it was unfortunate because the weather was really nice after many days of rain. It's unfortunate that we would have had to get upset and complain just to get an average level of service rather than the poor service we got. We were also surprised there was no one circulating among the tables to insure the service was up to standards unless that was their standard. It seems the only people out on the deck were the waitresses and ours could have cared less. Prices were very reasonable, service very poor. I will probably pick a different restaurant to go to next time. read more

Been here a few times, and will not be back. First, Mojito had several dead ants in the drink. I notified the waitress and she left and came back after 15 min of waiting and told us that the drink would not be taken off the bill because of the "disclaimer in the menu" that read, "we know there are bugs outside, so if you'd like we will move you inside". It said nothing about insects in the food. I must mention there were no ants anywhere on the table or in the sand. They came from the sugar drink mix that the bar used, guaranteed. The server said "the owner doesn't remove food from bills, because so many people come here and he doesn't care about people not returning because people will always come." These were her exact words, no lie! Lastly, my hamburger came out bloody, with the blood and juices soaking into the bun. I asked for the meat medium-well. How they undercooked a burger when asked for med-well is beyond my comprehension. They did take the burger off, only because they knew I wouldn't be paying for it in the first place. At one point I did feel forgotten and we saw very little of the waitress. It was a little busy, so I get that. It was the 4th of July, and we had time to waste until the fireworks. It was a slower than average service speed, in a busy atmosphere, but the friendly customer centric staff helped to offset the wait time. Three out of five stars isn't bad. This marks my first foray into Yelp and reviewing businesses. And lemme just say, Dockside Willies "forced" me to do this due to its beyond sub par food, service, and atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with profanity from staff and customers alike. It had a low class aesthetic to it as the workers seemed less than professional and the customers spent time talking about their many sexual partners. Once we were seated, our server took some time to get to us to take our drinks. She had a cheery demeanor and did her best to not go along with Willies sinking ship. She got our drinks in a timely manner and the food came out quickly which is a positive. In addition, the portions were fairly generous. However, the few bright spots almost end there. We ordered the River Rocks and the Crab Dip for appetizers. The former was loaded with meat and gooey cheese and were large in stature. The Crab Dip was run of the mill and didn't stand out in any way. For our main meals, we went with the Seafood Pasta and a Buffalo Chicken Chicago style deep dish pizza. My wife barely touched her pasta and this is in spite of the fact that she hasn't eaten anything all day. You know a meal is poor whenever you haven't eaten for hours and yet still lightly touch it. The pizza is what really stood out, but not in a good way. Never has a food made me so angry as this. I wanted to hurl profanities just like the other Dockside members. The pizza had hardly any chicken whatsoever but for what it lacked in chicken it made up for in blue cheese and tomatoes. It had enough tomatoes it could've been past off as ketchup. It included canned tomatoes, raw tomatoes, and pizza sauce. Maybe I'm culturally unaware seeing as I've never been to Chicago before, but this pizza was the least inviting meal of my life. I suffered through two pieces but even that felt like two pieces too many. Up until now I've never understood how food could be bad enough to leave behind. Finally, now I do. All this "lovely" food for under $80. You couldn't pay me to go back. The only reason I'd consider it is for the Mango Bango mixed drink. That was fantastic although I feel skeptical that it was anything more than a bottled drink mix. Hopefully it wasn't because it was like water to a parched mouth that suffered through one of the most unenjoyable meals of my lifetime. 1/10 read more

We were sat quickly upon arrival, and our server was friendly. We were a party of 6, and 2 of our meals had long thick black hair in them. They did replace our food, but most everyone was done eating by the time a replacement pizza came out. The manager delivered the replacement food and said "this is all taken care of" and presented us with a 10% discount on our next visit. Our party was not upset until we got the bill and noticed the wings and pizza that had hair in them were in fact not taken care of. We were then told that they replaced the food and we ate it, so we got charged. I guess they might have comped those items had we just picked out the strange hair and eaten. I wanted to take a friend from New York here who had never been here before. But when we arrived they were extremely busy and said that they didn't give wait times. We left because of that. I was disappointed because I have been here in the past and loved their food, drinks and beautiful view of the river. I also wanted to see their beautiful new building. Either change your hours, or tell you staff to suck it up and stop giving customers an attitude when they come in DURING YOUR POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. Management needs to get their staff under control, or better yet needs to hire new staff who understands that when a business is open until 2am, they're going to be there until 2am and must serve any and all customers with the same respect that they would a customer who was there during the day.
