Have been to this location twice and each time the service was efficient and servers were really nice. There's both indoor and outdoor seating with a bar that services both. The restaurant can get pretty busy and parking sucks. Hopefully some of the open lots can be turned into parking areas! The Birdin' Ernie wrap was unimpressive. I ordered it fried and there was more breading than chicken. The sauce was plain. Fries were pretty good. Second visit I ordered wings (Pteryaki + mild). It was pretty spicy and not much of the teriyaki flavor, although the chicken was hot and crispy. I'd definitely order the wings again.

It it s a bar, what can you expect in regards to food. My benchmark for fish and chips is a great Irish tavern in the Florida panhandle and this one is about 3.5 stars. Their kitchen must be small for the number of tables they have because food should come out faster since both elements are fried, fish and fries were lukewarm even if there was a food runner and not the server herself so the only thing I can think of is lack of coordination or a small kitchen. Additional charge for cocktail sauce Will go back to try their Woodford and this time I will take a bourbon expert with me Parking can be a problem in this part of Nexton due to other restaurants, we were lucky to find a spot because we went early but after 5 would be a different story Will seat inside next time because in the patio the chairs were a bit uncomfortable and the sun hitting my back was somewhat distracting. My dog's birthday is in November so I am going back for the pooch to have a hamburger and I won't mind to seat outside

From the atmosphere to the service to the FOOD--everything was fantastic! We started with shrimp cocktail and French bread, along with a glass of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. For our entrées, we had the filet mignon and beef bourguignon, and WOW! Every bite was delicious and beautifully prepared. Our waitress, Reina, was so sweet and attentive, and the owner personally stopped by our table several times to make sure we had everything we needed and that our meals were prepared perfectly. That kind of personal attention really made the evening feel special. The restaurant was packed, and we even saw a few couples turned away because there simply weren't any tables available--which tells you everything you need to know! Definitely make a reservation! Fantastic food, wonderful wine, amazing service, and such a charming atmosphere. La Chev 208 is an absolute Chef's Kiss! We will definitely be back!

I think they've created a monster because I'm already addicted. In fact, I'll be back this weekend when my next guests come to visit! We enjoyed drinks, split a salad (pictured is the half portion since we shared it), and shared the salmon. Everything was absolutely delicious. The outdoor patio is spacious, relaxing, and beautiful.....such a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Steve. He was amazing! He was so charismatic, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They are lucky to have him. I've already told my family I want La Chev gift cards for Christmas. I almost didn't want to leave a review because I selfishly wanted to keep this place to myself, but they deserve all the recognition. Hands down, this is officially my favorite restaurant in Summerville!

Title: The Pickle Bar - Summerville, SC Great flavors, but…read moretakeout quality fell short We ordered two BBQ sandwiches on brioche buns for pickup today--one with onion rings and one with sweet potato fries. The Good: The actual BBQ meat, coleslaw, and pickle slices were very good and full of flavor. The Disappointing: Unfortunately, the bottom bun of both sandwiches was completely soaked through with liquid and totally unfit to eat. We had to throw the bottom buns away and eat the sandwiches with a knife and fork, which defeats the purpose of a sandwich. Since we ordered a bit late after the lunch crowd, our onion rings were cold, and the sweet potato fries were cold and limp. We usually order out so we don't have to cook, but I ended up having to reheat both sides in our kitchen. Once they were hot, they were actually pretty good! We didn't want to make another trip back to the restaurant to get it fixed, so we just made the best of it. Verdict: The food definitely has potential, but the takeout packaging and timing missed the mark today. If we decide to try it again, we will definitely "dine in" instead to make sure everything stays fresh.

My husband very much liked his wings. He literally said they were some of the best wings he's had in a long time. Just by looking at them they were cooked very well, crispy on the outside and flavorful but glistening with moisture on the inside. Nothing on the menu appealed to me personally, so I stuck with my drink. Our bartender was so sweet though. I wish I knew her name. She provided us with plenty of recommendations for things to do in the area and checked on us multiple times. Just overall good demeanor I'd come back here for a beer and a game.

I have difficulty with steps but there were enough railings to make it navigable for me. The building was likely to have at one time been a small house. There were six of us in our party and we were initially told we would be sharing one bill and the gratuity would be automatically added. A couple of our folks expressed concern and intentionally ordered cheaper items and no drinks to make sure they had adequate funds to split the bill. Fortunately our waitress, who was a joy, did individual bills and did not put on an automatic gratuity. The policy had the potential to seriously reduce the restaurant's income. They should probably rethink this stance. As noted, our waitress was terrific and rapidly got drink and food orders sorted. The menu is pretty short, but probably a good choice for a small pub type restaurant. My wife and I both selected an on-tap local brew, both of which were good and reasonably priced. We both also selected the fish and chips. The order came with a side of cole slaw that was pleasant. The chips were obviously made on site and both properly cooked and well seasoned. We are always surprised at restaurants that serve obviously bagged and frozen fries. The fish itself was reasonably sized and nicely fried. Quite tasty, but we sort of expected good seafood as this is a sister restaurant to a local seafood establishment. For the price the portion sizes of all the meals at the table seemed just a bit small. So we will quite likely return. It's not fancy. It's not high end dining. It's a tad pricey for pub food, but overall pretty good. I note here that had our waitress not been a gem or had they enforced the one check policy, this review would have been a good deal more negative. I suspect they have an accessible entrance but it was not obvious. That may be a consideration for some and checking ahead of time would be prudent.

We started what would become our favorite dish of the night Scallops on the half shell. At first, you may balk at the price but believe me worth every penny. They were $26 at the time of this review but they are topped with two kinds of caviar. It was one of those dishes that after one bite you lean back and savor the flavors. The casino butter, sake and chili garlic will make your taste buds dance. I tried the chili garlic shrimp and gnocchi, and it was so good my wife threatened to steal it. Pillowy soft gnocchi in a rich, decadent sauce with hints of heat was outstanding. It is listed as a small plate, but I found the portion size quite filling. My wife had the oyster roll which was more like a po' boy not a sushi roll. We have had other oyster rolls, and they sometimes disappoint but not this one. Some restaurants just put a few oysters on the top of the bun and that's it, but this roll had oysters all throughout. It came with house made pickles and a single fried oyster on the side as a warmup. I highly recommend it. For dessert we shared a key lime pie semifreddo which was so pretty I almost felt bad for eating it. It was topped with a graham cracker crumble and both raspberry and lime curds. The texture reminding me of ice cream and was not overly tart with a nice hint of key lime. The torched flowers of meringue were really a great touch. The best word we both agreed on was "satisfying" and would definitely come back again!
