I think they've created a monster because I'm already addicted. In fact, I'll be back this weekend when my next guests come to visit! We enjoyed drinks, split a salad (pictured is the half portion since we shared it), and shared the salmon. Everything was absolutely delicious. The outdoor patio is spacious, relaxing, and beautiful.....such a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Steve. He was amazing! He was so charismatic, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They are lucky to have him. I've already told my family I want La Chev gift cards for Christmas. I almost didn't want to leave a review because I selfishly wanted to keep this place to myself, but they deserve all the recognition. It almost seemed like the addition of wine was an attempt to mask the issue rather than enhance the dish. The grits were also disappointing--lumpy and lacking the smooth, creamy texture you'd expect. That said, not everything missed the mark. My coworkers ordered the chicken salad, chicken wrap with sweet potato fries , blackened chicken pasta, and bruschetta, and all of those dishes were absolutely delicious and well prepared. They definitely helped redeem the overall experience and show the kitchen is still capable of putting out great food. Adri was our server, and she was an absolute delight--a total gem. I'd begin by raving about the appearance of the place, but we didn't get through the door before the first person, and quickly the second, greeted us with a cheery hello. Whoa! The interior is warm, welcoming, and lovely. Water and coffee arrived immediately, followed by the first welcomer who was ready to take our orders. The food arrived quickly, was beautifully plated, and delicious. The continuously refilled coffee was deliciously addictive and worthy on its own of multiple return visits. We are always surprised at restaurants that serve obviously bagged and frozen fries. The fish itself was reasonably sized and nicely fried.
