Since it was close to a college campus, I would've thought there would've been more people but it was basically empty. My breakfast burrito is $17, which can be pretty pricey for a burrito, but given how much is stuffed in there, that's pretty good. The hot chick is pretty filling, as well, especially because of the Hawaiian rolls it comes with. The naughty dog is $13, which is also good value for money. - Menu. They have vegan meats available, which is helpful. - Service. Punctual. Our order was ready for pickup when they said it would be. Their takeout packaging does a pretty good job of keeping everything contained. What's not - Menu variety. To be fair, they have vegan meats on the menu. However, their eggs and cheese are not vegan. Additionally, their dishes don't have much, if any veggies. This is specific to me, but I love veggies, especially salads. Furthermore, veggies aren't as filling and I don't feel as stuffed. That there aren't any salad options is a turn off for me. - Ambiance. For the few minutes that I was inside, I did not like it. The acoustics are terrible, because the sound carries very easily. There was music playing, and as a result, the music echoed even more loudly while I was inside. For the handful of seconds I spoke to their staffer when I picked up my order, she couldn't hear me. I'm guessing it's because of the sound. This place is not ideal to have a conversation with anyone. - Location. It's easy to find, but parking is not conducive. Great to see a new Dog Haus opening in the College Park area - UMD students must be excited for this! As other Dog Hauses, the menu inclues hot dogs, sausages, burgers, chicken, breakfast burritos, sliders, and even kid options, in addition to cocktails and craft beer. They use hormone-free and all-natural proteins and ingredients, which is awesome. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, and very personable! I visited Dog Haus for National Hot Dog Day, and a big shoutout to them for giving out free hot dogs! I went with the classic Downtown Hot Dog, featuring smoked bacon, caramelized onions, mayo, mustard, and ketchup, all served on a Hawaiian roll bun. Honestly, it doesn't get better than this. My experience was so soured I made a yelp account because they aren't on google maps yet. Beer selection was as basic as the ambiance. Some of their taps weren't even working so my choices were slim. When I was heading out friends of the bartender came in who were incredibly drunk and obnoxious. They were parked out on the road beside the bar and blocking traffic. Cars were lineing up on the one way street waiting for them to finish their pee break. The dudes just put on the emergencies and left it in the middle of the road. I would recommend you visit here if you're in the college park area on foot. It's pretty accessible. If you're driving, there's parking in the neighborhood or good by the Ledo's, as well as in the complex with the Five Guys, across from the Nando's. Walking in, there wasn't a line, which I can appreciate. The vibe of the menu and ambiance was elevated fast food, which I can appreciate. The server was enthusiastic when greeting me and taking my order. The food came out in around 10 minutes. It seems like the food is fresh (or as fresh as it can be). I asked for two barbecue sauces on the side, however, I received one barbecue sauce and one sweet chili/mango habanero sauce. I didn't complain, but I noted it. The Corn Dog was only a couple of dollars, and it was really tasty. Especially if you have sauce to dip it in. (7/10) The tots were on the precipice of being too crispy, but were still delicious, especially with the sauces. That's what the quality of these wings were. They tasted liked budget wings. Nothing about them tasted fresh. The Nashville hot seasoning was AWESOME but the wing itself was giving broke. Do not recommend the wings. As you can see from my picture attached, the size difference almost made me sick to look at. Every wing was a different size but all had the same poor taste. The Tator tots were the best part. I understand you cant cover tots or they'll become soggy but I suggest having some type of covering for them for people who have to travel to their destination. Least German brat ever. Canned sauerkraut over a flavorless sausage of some kind on three halves of a dinner roll that they somehow split in half again. Mess was unworthy eating.
