The service was very good, I felt like the young lady taking my order was informative and knew the menu well. The ambiance is great, they had high chairs for the kiddos. I really liked the idea of everything I ordered but just didn't come together that well when I tasted it. I ordered the fonz burrito, one slide for the kiddo, and my wife ordered the socal dog. The tater tots tasted fine in the burrito, I though the eggs were cooked great, I though the sauce and pastrami all were fine. But when put together it was just too much for me. The flavors are supposed to mesh together well but didn't taste great all together. The slider is absolutely tiny, I understand it's a slider and there isn't much you can do about that but man it was freaking small for 4 dollars. Hot dog was fine. Visiting Utah and really wanted a good breakfast burrito, and found this business. The Haus Burrito was good and pretty much matched the menu, the only complaint about the food was - it was HUGE! Now, normally not a big deal - I like to eat - but this thing as three times what I needed, AND was $12.00 plus. Maybe offer a smaller version? The ordering process was completely on a touch screen, with no actual human interaction, and was not set up to be very user friendly, and of course could not answer questions, and could not pay cash! No one greeted or set a word to me. The space is attractive, but with high ceilings and hard walls it is loud and echoes. With music playing loud, the lady at the counter could not even be heard when announcing orders and the atmosphere was not very welcoming. read more

If I could do half stars, I might have done 4 1/2. The taste of the french roll was more pleasant to me than the Hawaiian rolls, but it was almost to much bread for a hot dog in my opinion. Maybe if that massive dog was butterflied and grilled, it would have filled the bread a little better. Cheeseburger slider was tasty, but for price, I felt let down. My wife and I came here after searching for a new burger restaurant and this really hit the spot. I got the hangover burger and my wife got the holy aoli and while it is more than a McDonalds burger it is worth every single penny. I made a yelp account just so I could give this review I felt like they deserved it so much. Great food for a good price. Service was fast and efficient which is a great bonus. Came for late Valentine's Day meal out. My wife ordered the Little Mule and loved it and I ordered the Freiburger which is now off menu, but they still let you order it (which I appreciate though it's a $1.50 more as a result). Still think this is the best burger of any place in Utah!!! I like 5 guys in general, but the Freiburger is worth the trek up to Salt Lake County to the Dog Haus!! Came in for a late lunch on a Saturday. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall parking around it. The atmosphere is a little divey but overall not bad. The Customer Service was great, the food was awsome. I had ordered the Sooo Cali, I wanted to humor the idea to try "avocado on a hotdog," I tried it and I was hooked! The other ingredients collaborated with the savory bun and hotdog made this, not only something that works, but was done in a way that tasted authentic towards what they are advertising on the sign, it tastes like the quality of something you would take the time and make at home by scratch. It was genius not to mention some of the other hotdogs that they have as well. What an interesting place. We tried the old town, the cowboy and the corn dog. Start with the good. The old town was killer!! It was a great blend of flavor with the heat from the aioli and jalapeño and the sweet from the Hawaiian rolls. The cowboy was great as well with the bbq sauce and cheese. Both definitely delivered. Then the not so good, the corn dog was sadly a huge let down. It was incredibly greasy and just fell apart as we ate it. The information was not readily available but they brought up packages so I could read labels. I truly felt bad for holding up the line. But they could not have been more gracious at the counter. We love wieners! Lol. Great food with a heck of a selection! Not exactly health friendly, but my tummy loves it. Burgers and dog do not skimp on topping, which leads me to my only complaint. Food is quite messy, and the utensil options are the cheapest you can find, flimsy and weak. The paper towel option is a gas station restroom brown piece of sandpaper, I get it is rustic and kind of goes with the theme, but non absorbent napkins with messy good food is a pev of mine. They have quite the selection of dogs and brats here. We got the old Town and the Cali along with a corn dog to try. Corn dog was probably my favorite thing we tried. First time here, first through the door when they opened, service was good and they got my order right so that's a winner lol Only negative was no one had bothered to turn the soda machine on but they took care of it quickly and without hassle and I appreciated that. I always go for a dog, my favorite, the Scott Baioli, was not on the menu, but thankfully they still make it (he said part of the secret menu now). The fries were hot and so yummy. These are fully loaded dogs on toasted Hawaiian buns. They have little sliders, corn dog or hot dog on the kids menu. They do have an app where you can earn rewards, and on national hotdog day EVERYONE in your party that has the app gets a free dog! Plus this location has a deal that if you post a pic on Instagram and tag them you get a free shake (one per party). It is an order at the counter place, they give you table numbers and will bring your food to you when not busy, when they get busier they just call your number. If it gets busy, it can get a little slow- but worth the wait. read more

Unfortunately, that is where the good ended. The burger meat lacked in flavor, and the "sweet roll" (if that's what you call it) bun definitely didn't support the other flavors that the burger was trying to convey. So I'm craving a breakfast burrito and I hear this place started serving them. As I walk in I hear someone suffering from a coughing spasm. I see behind the counter the cook cough. He's not even attempting to cover his mouth. I actually figure I'll give him a pass, maybe he had something in his hands that prevented it and nobody is perfect. Finally decided to give this place a try after having driven past it a few times. I ended up ordering The Cowboy, Polish Kielbasa Corn Dog, and Tots. The Cowboy was a bacon wrapped hot dog with cheddar cheese sauce, BBQ sauce, and crispy onions and it was amazing. All the flavors mixed really well and the King's Hawaiian Rolls that they use for the bun really brought everything together. The Polish Kielbasa Corn Dog was really tasty. The root beer batter was really delicious and definitely something that is worth trying. The tots were well tots, I will be getting the fries next time because they at least had some seasoning on them. The employees were super friendly and were working hard on keeping the restaurant clean. I will definitely be coming back sometime in the near future to try more off their menu. They have some burgers that look real intriguing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes hot dogs and/or sausages. read more

We've been in a QSR rut lately. Dog Haus took our winter blues away with their wieners! The corn dogs are like Disneyland corn dogs. The outside is crunchy and crusty. The dog is delicious and the kids went bananas for them. The dogs themselves are great quality. I got the California style one (can't remember the name) because I'm a sucker for avocado. Husband got the cowboy one because he rustic like that. I loved mine, but I think he won the order. His was phenomenal. They use King's Hawaiian rolls for the buns. That's a pure revelation right there. Sign me up please! Fresh ingredients and tons of flavor are their MO with everything we tried. Lighting was a bit dark for a QSR, but it made us feel less self-conscious about sauces dripping down our forearms and chins. Service was a little slow, but extremely friendly. You guys, these burgers are so good! If you're a burger snob like my husband and I, you'll love this place. When you order online you can also build your own burger to suit, which is a nice feature. You may be able to do that in the store as well we just happened to get delivery today. Their impossible burger is thin but tasty especially with crispy onions and sweet ginger sauce on top. They also pile it all on a Kings Hawaiian sweet roll which is absolutely brilliant in my opinion! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the fries and Diet Coke we ordered were small for the price. $1.49 for a CAN of Diet Coke. Come on friends, that's ridiculous. Last night was one of those life-changing moments where you see a montage of all your past foodie transgressions as you bite into your first-ever Dog Haus "root beer battered" corn dog. When we rolled up and got in line, we were confronted by the rather expansive menu that boasts dogs, sausages, burgers, and even something called the "Bad Mutha Clucka." For whatever reason beyond my own limited human understanding, I was adamant about ordering a burger. I was invited, nay, USHERED IN to the Haus of Dog and I ordered a hamburger. Okay, so maybe it wasn't just ANY burger, though--the Ringer was a big hunk of ground beef and bacon, soft Hawaiian king rolls, and cheddar cheese. Almost out of karmic retribution, however, my burger patty came out dry. I get it, I get it--I should've gotten a dog. And as karmic reward for choosing a wiener, my boyfriend's Pineapple Express--a bacon-wrapped dog dressed in a sweet ginger glaze, pineapples, scallions, pickled jalapeños, and crispy onions--was out of this world. After my first bite, I gleefully exclaimed, "All aboard! Choo, choo!" Now, I'm the kind of girl that can't NOT have a side item. Even if the main course is huge and messy and more than I can eat in one sitting, I HAVE TO HAVE MY FRENCH FRIES, PEOPLE! And oh, what French fries these are! Out of the guise of good manners, I asked my boyfriend which fries I should order because they give you all sorts of choices. Oh boy, did these little crispy slivers of sheer carbohydrate joy drenched in the creamiest of white cheese sauces scratch that lifelong itch I came to realize had never before been truly scratched. I'm depressed that all of this happened on my very last day of an SLC visit this week. I could've tried EVERY DOG ON THE MENU! My heart is undeniably broken that there is no Dog Haus location near my hometown. DOG HAUS, PLEASE OPEN A LOCATION IN SAN ANTONIO (or at the very least, in trendy Austin)! There was the Costco Polish Dog Food Poisoning Incident of 2011; I have yet to return to the scene of the crime in Sandy. Scott Baoli (hot dog with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, caramelized onions, garlic aioli); Pig Lebowski (sausage with fries, slaws, and BBQ sauce); Thai Fighter (Thai currywurst, pickled jalapeños, spicy basil aioli); and my personal fave, Reservoir Hog: Polish kielbasa, Haus chili, slaw and mustard. Had it, loved the taste. Dog Haus knows it's not rocket science: If you put 4 different awesome things together, you'll get an awesome flavor. While these may be personal preferences, I'm not a fan of the presentation. To me, a hot dog needs to be edible on a street corner with one hand ... this open-faced, toasted, Frankenbun maximizes in presentation but forces a knife and fork. As well, service is slow and the value for what you get will leave your stomach still hungry and your wallet a little too empty. Still, a great tasting dog, each one a phantasmagoical work of art.
