Holy Hotdog, Batman!!! These dogs are incredible! If a dog was a superhero, the Dog Haus would be its bat cave. There were so many amazing combinations on the menu, I wanted to try them all! I ended up eating the Pineapple Express: pineapples, sweet ginger sauce, crispy onions and to top it off, their dogs and burgers are on Hawaiian rolls - and if perfection wasn't already perfected, they offer cheese tots. A match made in heaven, well, at least in my heaven. The ONLY thing that would make this dog better would be if the pineapples were fresh and not canned. That's the only change I would make. My husband ate the T-Mex: avocado, Haus slaw, pickled jalapeños, chipotle aioli, and pickled red peppers. The sauce has a subtle bite to it, it was awesome. Ordered two items here and waited for 45 minutes for the two to-go items.... the only reason we ended up getting them at all was because we asked for an update three times. The first two times we were met with, 'there were a lot of Grubhub orders'... meanwhile we had watched three other people order AFTER us and get their food. This was the first time I've ever asked for a refund, which then we were met with the comment that our food or refund will take the same amount of time (would also like to add that I've worked in the service industry for years and know how it goes) but there was absolutely no regard for us or for the fact we had been waiting for 45 minutes for two items. Really bummed out because I hate leaving bad reviews but this was a really uncalled for scenario. I found this place on Yelp and was excited about the vegetarian options. And while I did make a mental note about their low food safety score - told myself what are the odds.... well the food was great and a good value but I came here to say I may have received food poisoning from this place. After thanksgiving I went here on Friday and got a breakfast burrito and a slider to go. This was only only food I ate on Friday. I didn't eat anywhere else and shared food with family for other meals. Saturday afternoon I came down with intense stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and a high fever that lasted for hours. Another 3.5, but I'm rounding down to 3. I think there is a lot of potential here, but I ordered something I didn't like. The location is pretty easy to get to. Nice interior, industrial theme and hipster vibe. The prices are a little expensive, but for the most part okay. There were about 5-7 employees, they were all like young adults cleaning and mostly keeping busy. My husband had the hangover and he loved it. He thought it was super great. I had the Holy Aioli and it was meh. The Hawaiian roll bun is interesting, maybe not my favorite thing in the world, but it it unique. Mine mostly was a challenge because my burger had caramelized onions on top which made the 'bun' soggy and made it fall apart. The bacon seemed quality, but it was over cooked and difficult to chew. My burger was also a little more greasy than I expected and didn't have much flavor. I'd say my highlight was the sweet potato fries and the fry sauce. They were really good. They knocked it out of the park on these dogs. My biggest concern was which one to try. I may have to come back very soon to try another one. I ended up with the T-Mex and it did not disappoint. Great corn dog! I love root beer so appreciated the hint of flavor of it in the corn dog batter. The corn dog was not the typical size of most frozen corn dogs. It was much bigger. Well I was duped thinking I found a new chicken sandwich place next to Dog Haus on Uber eats called bad mutha clucka.. the food arrived and the hot chick sandwich was huge and delicious which I thought was appropriate given the $11 price tag. We both really enjoyed the sandwich but I wish it had a little heat to it. Anyways I'm enjoying my sandwich and I notice something interesting.. the box each sandwich came in was a dog Haus box. I heard Chuck E. Cheese did something similar to drum up business making it look like a new restaurant. In the Chuck E. I went here for lunch with a good friend of mine. I had a coupon, which always makes me more willing to try something new. I had the Scott Baioli dog. The woman at the register seemed a little bit aloof. I told her it was our first time here, and she gave me a distracted smile and nod. I asked her for a recommendation between fries or onion rings. She hesitated--kind of like she didn't want to step beyond taking our order. But eventually she said the fries are good, with skin on, so I went with those. We weren't given our number until we already sat down, but I'm just glad she remembered. I wasn't excited about their soda selection, as I am a diet drinker, and there was only Diet Coke. The rest were all full-sugar options. Good thing I'm always prepared and brought a Coke Zero. Our food came out after 5-10 minutes. I asked for some ranch for my fries, and he brought some out for me (super good ranch, by the way). The "Hawaiian roll bun" is a fun touch. I do love Hawaiian rolls. I will say I don't feel they are very generous with the toppings. Mine came with two slices of cheese, which actually ended up overwhelming the experience since the onions, bacon bits, and aioli were in smaller amounts. I didn't attempt to eat this like a traditional hot dog; I took a fork and knife to it. But I probably could have attempted it the normal way since it really wasn't overloaded with anything. I thought the dog itself tasted good, and everything seemed to be really high quality. The fries were perfectly cooked, which is a rare occurrence for me, so that was a nice surprise. My friend got some tater tots, and those were dang good, too. Overall, I'd like to come back and try a burger and some onion rings. This was the hotdogs that I've been looking for; for a while. A couple of coworkers told me to try it out and I'm glad they did. Walked in expecting just to get a limited menu, but was I surprised with their straight forward menu. If you check in on the Yelp app you get a free slider with the purchase of a sausage. Now I use Hawaiian rolls all the time. But to use three of them as a hot dog roll is genius. I opted to get a cowboy, which is a bacon wrapped hotdog with cheddar cheese sauce, bbq sauce and crispy onions. Cooked perfectly through and through and packed flavors wetter than some other places I've been too. I say they hit it on the head. It was so good I cut the dog in three and shared it. All thought this was delicious. Fresh ingredients, no hormones or antibiotics used in their products. Good selection of designer style hot dogs, sausages. Their cheeseburger slider also packed a good satisfying experience. Felt like I was eating a regular size burger. Meat was cooked well, the cheese hit the spot too. Really creative and gourmet hot dogs. The Kings Hawaiian buns just sends them over the edge over all the other good hot dogs in Utah. Dog Haus is different. It's not a food court hot dog situation, and more complicated than the Utah classic J dawgs. It's between fast food and restaurant food and it's a happy medium. I really liked what I recently ordered- Thai fighter. I added caramelized onions to it and it was just the perfect sweet and savory flavor. The boyfriend ordered the Mensch and it was pretty tasty as well. Gotta come back and try the Everybody Lapcheong sometime though. It's the Chinese sweet sausage, it has to be good! We've tried the dutch chocolate shake before and it was all right. Nothing to write home about but not a bad shake. I tried the Hot Chix Sandwich and some tater tots. I wasn't really impressed to be honest. The chicken was over cooked and the flavors weren't standing out. The sandwich was on some of those Hawaiian rolls and did not stay together very well. For the price I'm disappointed with the quality. Tried bringing my family of 5 and my friends here. Went in at 8:45 stood at the register For five minutes without any acknowledgment while the staff just cleaned. So we left because we felt uncomfortable like we were a burden to the employees. I would definitely not recommend coming here. They obviously don't need money bad enough or they would stay open until 9 Like the door says. When we walked out got into our cars at 8:50 they shut the lights off and lock the doors. We sat in the parking lot for a couple minutes and we saw 2 More cars Drive up and then drive away because your staff had closed the restaurant. Definitely one of the best places here in Utah to grab a dog. I've been hearing so much about it and never had the opportunity to try it out until now. There was a lot happening on the menu and I didn't really know what to get. Everything on there sounded very good. My friends and I didn't notice a lot of things until after we ordered and sat down. Some thing I notice that I wish I knew before I ordered was - you can add other stuff to you dog like peanut sauce or any other toppings you found interesting. I ordered the SOOO Cali dog with a free slider for checking in. There was a crunchy onion topping that tasted like funions. The bun was actually sweet rolls instead of your typical hot dog buns, and the sausage was very savory. One thing I personally didn't like was how salty the dog itself was. The onions, veggie and the bun was sweet and then the sausage saltiness kicked in my taste buds wasn't SOOO happy. The free slider I got though was super delicious. Something else that bothered me about this is their policy about the free milk shake. They wanted you to post a picture on your social media helping them get promoted, but it will be one shake per group...no matter how many people posted the picture. Been a Dog Haus fan from early on, in Pasadena, North Hollywood, and Long Beach. Discovered the Sandy location by luck/Yelp when looking for a place to grab lunch with some old friends when we were on vacation. Parking is free, and absurdly close to the door. The variety of sausages available wasn't as extensive as I've experienced in SoCal, but they had all the important meats. The Lambda Lambda Lambda (limited-offer lamb and pork sausage with tzatziki, designed by James beard award-winning chef Alex Sidel) was on point, messy and complex and so delicious. One benefit of Utah is the ubiquitous fry sauce, which is a match made in comfort food heaven when paired with the tots. So glad to see a great regional eatery getting more locations. What in the sauce.... This place is seriously hit or miss. The portion of their fries and sides are minuscule, any sandwich that comes with a sauce is absolutely DOUSED (they seem to favor white sauces), and the bread is always ridiculously soggy. I've eaten here 5 times so far and 4 of those times I've been disappointed so I think I'm done. This last time I ordered their chicken sandwich, which was of course dripping in sauce on both sides of the bread. The chicken was black but the insIde was rubbery and undercooked, the buns were so soggy they weren't even edible. I threw the whole sandwich away. Someone ordered the holy aoili burger which had the same issue with the sauce, making it basically inedible. The other sandwich was a bbq bacon burger and it was fine but not worth $10. My husbands co worker told us about the Dog Haus and claimed that they are as good as a certain renowned burger restaurant in the plant Hollywood casino in Las Vegas. And since I love garlic I was so excited to try their holy aioli burger. And then when I looked at Yelp and saw the pic of chili cheese fries I had to try it. So I sent my husband on a mission to pick up a take out order. Unfortunately what he brought back didn't look anything like what I saw on the restaurant's Yelp pictures. Take a look at my chili cheese fries photo, and you be the judge. I was so disappointed to say the least. And for the aioli burger, i couldn't even taste the garlic aioli. So sad about this review. We have given this place 3 chances and they have been so inconsistent! We are big spicy fried chicken fans and typically order the Bad Mutha Clucka on DoorDash. The first time, the chicken was a little chewy. The second time, the chicken was almost perfect and we were so excited we found our new spot! Oh how have I overlooked reviewing this place. This is a great example not all chains/franchises are evil. Get the corndog and tots period. The corndogs have a light rootbeer batter. Each one is battered and fried to order which adds to the deliciousness. You don't have to stick with the classic hotdog, they will batter any sausage as well. Even the vegetarian sausage so no one is left out. They have a myriad of sides from classic fries, onion rings, chili, etc the best is the crispy tots. Tots should always be crispy. Did I mention you can get them covered in cheese and chili? A close second if you still can't get over a dog on a stick is their burgers. Burgers made on Hawaiian rolls is a brilliant idea. Still can't decide? Both the corndogs and burgers come in a mini version so you can mix and match or experiment with little risk. But Hang, you haven't mentioned the dogs or sausages. They're excellent as well. there's so many combinations of sausages and toppings that they created a few with punny names. So many to try. What could make it five stars? This was exactly the hot dog experience I was looking for...variety and fresh yummy goodness. I tried the Cowboy, a corn dog slider, and tater tots. The corn dogs are dipped in their homemade batter that has root beer in it and boy were they yummy, but don't be confused this is really just a mini corn dog and is not served on a bun. The cowboy hot dog was delicious - how can you go wrong with a hot dog wrapped in bacon with cheese and bbq sauce and fried onions! The only disappointment of the meal was the tater tots, which were far too crispy for my liking. And I had hoped for some variety of Chicago dog like choice. My wife and I were able to sneak away from the kids for a little bit this Saturday. We drove between Draper and Sandy before turning around to hit up dog Haus. To get to it, heading south, you have to do a crazy U-turn on State Street. I was excited for the menu, was just feeling a hot dog that day. I decided to get the bratwurst with the caramelized onions, sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard. My wife got the mother clucker chicken sandwich and we got a side of onion rings. I'm going to be very detailed and maybe a little bit nitpicky, so close your eyes and have somebody read this to you so you can be in the moment. . First I will say, the place looks nice. But it was absolutely freezing in there. I found a little bit of solace near the drink machine as I was feeling our water cups. It was like a little warm nest over there. Other than that, the place was pretty clean. When the food came out, it looked really good. I was ready to dig in. The brat came out a bun that was perfectly toasted on the top, but my fingers would stab through it as I would pick it up. My wife said her chicken sandwich had a super soggy bun on the bottom and it was hard for her to eat because it was just falling apart. She gave it maybe a six out of 10. I give my bratwurst a 3 out of 10. I'm being generous with the three because of how it looked, but here's the problem that I had with it... First, I already mentioned the bun. Perfectly toasted, but falls apart as you're trying to eat. The bratwurst itself was the cheapest, least flavorful bratwurst I've had in years., Possibly decades. I love sauerkraut and grilled onions. What murdered this brought worse for me was the spicy brown mustard. I am a Goulden's fan. Any type of coarse ground or brown mustard, has my vote. When I saw this mustard and started to eat it, it reminded me of miracle whip. It was very white, not at all brown. It had a little bit of mustard flavor to it, but it was basically just miracle whip with some yellow mustard mixed in. I brought my bratwurst to the servers and asked if perhaps they made a mistake and put mayonnaise on my hot dog. They confirmed that it was their spicy brown mustard and that they make it in house. Just by a bottle of freaking brown mustard and stop trying to church it up Joe. The onion rings were actually pretty good. They were cooked well, but the size of the dipping sauce was like those tiny little creamers that you get at an old diner. The only way you can dip your onion rings in the fry sauce or the ranch is to break them apart and dip in the ends. As you do that, the any rings tend to fall apart as well. That was unexpectedly delicious! I will definitely be coming back here! My son invited me to lunch because he comes here often. So I thought sure why not? I'll just get a chili cheese dog. That's safe. But then I got here and looked at the menu and actually found several things that I would like to try. And I'm not a very adventurous eater. I ended up with a pineapple something. I can't remember what it was called. But it was a hotdog wrapped in bacon and it had pineapple on it and crispy onions and some kind of aïoli and jalapeños and something else. I really should've written this down while I was in the restaurant. But holy cow it was absolutely delicious! I don't normally love love love bacon wrapped things, but this was really good. It did not taste like bacon. It just made the hotdog have a little crunch on it. And all of the other flavors that were on this hotdog were amazing! And to top it off everything is on Kings Hawaiian rolls! Talk about delicious! I got some sweet potato fries on the side that were also fabulous! My son got some kind of a Thai sausage dog. I really don't know what was on his either. But the onion rings he got were really delicious as well. Stopped by and ordered a corn dog with tater tots to go. Yes, I took cheat day to the extreme. The service was friendly and fast. They had lidded cups so that you can take the fry sauce and ketchup to go. The corn dog was pretty tasty. The batter had some lightness to it (thanks to that root beer), and the hot dog had just the right amount of coating. If you want to know what happens when a corn dog has too much batter, then go to Disneyland and get a corn dog there--not good at all. The hot dog in the center was also good, had a slight smoky flavor. I am such a sucker for tater tots, so they could do no wrong with them here. The prices here are a tad higher than Hot Dog On a Stick, but the food is better. They also participate in some of the delivery programs, so you don't even have to leave your house to try out Dog Haus. read more

I was blown away that this employee was coughing all over everybody's food in preparation and all over the toppings etc. I asked to speak with the owner , because he said she is here ! Being from the Midwest and having Chicago dogs probably ruined my expectations. I tried the cowboy dog and regular hot dog. The crispy onions they use are the same as the ones on a green bean casserole. Which I didn't enjoy. The hotdogs are just ok. I didn't really like the taste and they seemed very salty. For the $$ I would not recommend. They do have burritos and hamburgers which may be vey good. I would recommend J Dawgs in regards to hot dogs. Food was great! But the place was dirty and messy. We tried not to let the surroundings interfere with our meal, but it was hard to ignore the lack of cleanliness. I loved the Holy Aioli burger. The meat was juicy and well-cooked, the grilled onions added nice flavor and the bacon was good texture. The Hawaiian rolls are a nice touch and really compliment the burger. My toddler devoured his jumbo "mini" corn dogs and all in attendance loved the crispy tater tots. I appreciated the twist on good ol' American classics and it's a place where both my children and the adults can find something delicious and appetizing. We will definitely go back.
