I now have a scratch on my hand from trying to get her in the van. And for them to up the price THAT much more for me telling them to bring 2 groomers next time, isn't very professional either. $245?! Seriously? Instead of being genuinely apologetic & making it right with me, that's how they run their business? I would steer clear if I were you. Best groom ever. We have been getting our Husky groomed at various places over the years, having had the last few years at Petco. Since she is a senior dog we wanted to keep her close to home without stressing her out and having a mobile groomer come just made sense. When I tell you she got the best groom she has ever had, I am not exaggerating. Brought my dog back dirty. Not groomed and charged me $95. Also his eye was scratched and said he did it. They said they washed dried and brushed him, but he was still partially wet and dirty. I scheduled grooming for my two dogs. I am only writing this to save other pet owners from going through what I am going through. My older dog has been getting groomed since he was a puppy, so he's used to being groomed. I wasn't home when the groomer came, my daughters were. My daughter called me upset because they heard my dog yelp loudly and when the opened the door he was scratching at the door. I have cameras around my house, so I watched the video. My dog was not on a leash and was frantically running from the groomer who was not close to him. She stated she put him down when he yelped because she was scared (he's a maltipoo). She put my dog down not knowing where he would run nor what he would do. also he didn't have on a collar. The next day, He has been hiding under my daughters bed and trembling. I called the owner to see what happened. Her initial response was, she has seen this before in dogs that don't like their haircut. That sounds ridiculous to me. But to address the suggestion, he didn't see himself. The owner mentioned she reached out to the groomer and there weren't any issues during grooming, I asked why he came to the door off leash by himself. She said the groomer didn't mention that and it's against their safety policy. She called the groomer back and her response was, she got mixed up and was referring to another dog not mine. That's when she said she put him down because he yelped. The actual groomer called me, never apologized for letting my dog walk on his own. Basically, in my opinion, putting my dog in danger. Since she had no idea what he would do off leash. I took my dog to the vet to see if there were any injuries since the groomer didn't give me anything to go on. $218 later I still don't know what happened to my dog. I called the owner back to again try to get them to tell me what happened. Meanwhile, my dog is still hiding under the bed and hasn't eaten nor had anything to drink since he was groomed. I just want to know what happened to him so I can help him. I told the groomer I was extending a courtesy to her that she didn't extend to me. Meaning, I am letting you know I am posting this review so it doesn't come as a surprise. Her response was she was comforting to me, called me back and he doesn't have any injuries so she hopes I would reconsider. I'm lost, he could still be hurt without having physical injuries. I never told her the vet Sid he didn't have any injuries, so that was an odd reponse. I want to reiterate what I said to the groomers originally, I know they are dogs, I know they wiggle, I know accidents happen, I'm not accusing you, but something happened. Did he fall? Did something fall on him? was there a loud noise? the answer to all of these questions form the was no. Meanwhile, my dog is still hiding under the bed, refuses to eat, refuses to drink and won't come when we call him. My heart is broken. I have cooked food for him-he refuses. I gave him turkey pepperoni-he spit it out. I regret the day I reached out to DogDash. I am currently waiting for advice from the vet about what to do about his eating and drinking. This was clearly a traumatic experience for him. read more
