Do not buy a car from Mike Smith Nissan.. I bought a 2012 Buick Enclave and the next day I brought it back because it was making a strange noise (sounds like compressor is going out), the radio was going on and off by itself, windshield wipers fluid wouldn't work. Brought it in to get repaired and the only thing that was done was they sent it to Classic Chevrolet to put a new radio in.(which is still broken) I picked up my car Monday and it's still making the same noise and the air conditioner only blows cold when you're driving. If you're just sitting there like at a red light it doesn't blow cold (it blows between 70-75°) so I went back up there today and took one of the managers Kevin Lee with me for a drive and he pretended like he didn't hear anything. Then I took the service manager for a ride and he clearly heard the noise I was talking about and said that it should be blowing just as cold while I'm stopped. Mind you I took a road trip to Louisiana and it totally quit blowing all together. They said that they won't fix it because it hasn't "failed" yet. Then said "you do realize you bought a used car right?" And I said yes and it had a 1,000 mile warranty and y'all said y'all would fix this problem the day after I bought it. I was also told that my 30 day or 1,000 mile warranty was up (they had my car for almost 3 weeks!!!)I was up there for 3 hours today and they told me they wouldn't fix it. I'M BEYOND PISSED AND WANTED TO PUNCH HIM SQUARE IN HIS FACE!!!! This is how they treat people who were affected by Harvey!!! PLEASE SHARE SO OTHERS WILL BE WARNED!!! read more

Agree 100 percent with Michael! This service department is awful! I dropped my car off around 8 am and did not get it back until 5 pm. Keep in mind that I I had an "appointment." They obviously have a blatant disregard for their customers time. Please do not go here unless you want to waste your entire day. read more

Customer Service is a Problem Area. Here's the deal: I walk in and there are three young women behind the three counters in the service area. None of them are with a customer but all are on the phone. After about five minutes, one of them tells me that someone will be with me soon. Fifteen minutes later no one has said another thing to me. But they have taken more phone calls and made more phone calls the whole while. It is also worth noting that there is no place to sit in this area so you'll be standing the whole time. I have a bad knee so this is no good for me. I tell them I'm going to go sit down on the stairs around the corner. About 5 minutes later, one of the girls tells me to come back because someone is about to be available to help me. Five minutes go by and no one is helping me but some of them have hung up the phone and then initiated more calls. I sit down on the floor for awhile despite knowing it will hurt my knee when I have to get up; still nothing good happens. Finally, I say I'm leaving and then one of the women says she'll get to me as soon as she finishes the phone call she is on. She had made this phone call while I was waiting and it was to ask a customer whose car was in service whether he wanted to use some kind of frequent customer points to get $10 off whatever they were doing to his car. Does that seem like a high priority to anyone else? Because it doesn't to me. However, I ended up staying because I didn't know where else I'd go and really wanted to get the battery I'd come for before I ended up stranded somewhere (the battery on my car is difficult to get to). The battery replacement and complimentary car wash took about two hours, which seems acceptable given that I didn't have an appointment. The woman who waited on me was very nice once I got waited on. Anyway, I know Mike Smith Nissan monitors these reviews and I hope they'll see this and improve their handling of customers in the future and maybe find a place for a couple of chairs too. read more

Worst Service Department EVER!!! I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue with 6000 miles on it. Purchased all the extra warranties and insurances at time I purchased the vehicle. Two indicator lights came on when I started my vehicle one morning. Took my car in and the RUDE service manger stated I hit something so they are calling it an accident so they don't have to fix it by saying its not covered under warranty and want me to pay for it. RIDICULOUS!!! THEY HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO NISSAN HEADQUARTERS AND BBB. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY DEALING WITH THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT read more

Don't waste your time!! Service Department is horrible. Had an appointment an hour and half later car had not even been moved from where I left it!! A whole bunch of BS everywhere at this place. By far the worst service experience I've ever in my life had. I called in with a few questions a few days before new years and after getting the pleasure of speaking to amber I believe was her name. All I got was an I don't have any idea answer from her. She sounded like a complete idiot with no knowledge of what she does. Isn't that her job to answer questions? So I decided to just come by and see if I could get my answers to my questions.... Another bad choice! The incredibly unprofessional girl at the end with purple hair was exceptionally rude to me along with others standing there. She proceeded to yell something down to the girl at the complete other end of the room with some pretty vulgar language before she just walked out the door. I actually felt sorry for the little girl in the middle trying to talk on the phone. Needless to say, I will most definitely never be back her again and recommend nobody else to either. read more

The codes in my 2006 BMW 750 Li told me I needed to replace my brake pads. So I took my car to Mike Smith BMW to get he work done, The brake job cost $1200.00 and didnt include the brake fluid service. What really bothers me is the fact that when I got my car back there was a code telling me that my DSC (drive satbilty Control) had failed. In addition the servo motor which controls the dash display went out, and my heater wasnt working anymore. When I called the service clerk and informed her of this she told me it was ok to drive the car in that condition until I could get the repairs done. I asked her why they didnt catch these things during the so called complimentary multi point inspection they do on the cars before giving you a repair estimate. She had no answer for that. There estimate to repair everything that was working until I took my car to them was $4000.00. I took my car to Auto Pro in Houston and got all the work done $1600.00. Dont take your car or truck to Mike Smith for repairs. read more

Just bought a 2010 BMW 650i from the used car lot at Nissan. It is a beautiful car. Seemed to be in great shape and my sales guy told me I had a 1 month dealer warranty on it in the event "anything" went wrong. Two days after I got it home, the daytime running bulbs went out, one I should clarify. Then it started grinding when I was driving and sounded like metal on metal. I brought it back to the Nissan lot and my sales guy was busy so they sent the manager over to work with me. I led him to the car and told him about the problems. I also said does the warranty cover this? He told me it did and to drive it down to the BMW service department to take care of it. I did that. The next day I received a call from BMW saying that they have been unable to get in contact with anyone from the used car lot to fix the problems. He said he tried all day to get a call back and he couldn't get them to return the call but that he would try again in the morning and see what could be done. Anxious, I called the next morning, and guess what, still no answer. So I called the manager over at Nissan. He informed me that they would not be covering the issue. That my dealer warranty was strictly power terrain and I would be responsible for the bulb. VERY EXPENSIVE!!!! He then said, "You bought a used car buddy"! I am not his buddy and will not be buying a car from them ever again. They've had my car for more than three days now and I still don't know what's being fixed. Bad business. I am really tired of being screwed. These cars, new or not, are a very expensive proposition. When things go out, within reason, dealers need to take care of the items they are selling. People don't spend $50000 on a car and then expect everything to just go out. That's why I buy from dealerships and not individuals because I expect these big companies to stand by their products. If they're not going to then they shouldn't be in business. I had planned on trading in my Lincoln for a new Mercedes CLS 500, guess I'll be taking that business to Houston. read more
