We were in Miami today and figured we would try out the hotdogs people were talking about online. First arrival was kinda sketchy since the place does not look that updated. The menu is easy to read and is hanging next to the order window. The lady who took our order was nice but forgot to add a chili dog to our order so it would have been nice if she repeated it back. We sat at one of the tables and waited a little bit for the hotdogs but once they came out they were hot and tasty. The relish looked food color dyed but flavorful. The fresh pickle was refreshing and the hotdog was cooked perfectly with a nice crisp. The pitchfork was great also. The bbq sauce was yummy and the onions completed the flavor profile. I will note the cheese fries are quite disappointing. We were expecting a cheese wiz kind of spread but instead got plain fries with two slices of Semi melted American cheese. I loved everything about this place! Seating is outside but covered and breezy with fans in case it's too hot. We got a Tropicale hot dog, a Texas Tommy hot dog, a Pitchfork hot dog (not pictured) and a sloppy joe. Everything came out hot and ready! So much so that we needed to wait on the sloppy joe to eat last as it was too hot to hold (I assume this to why it's served open faced to give it a chance to cool). Overall a fun place and experience. We didn't get to sit and eat at the restaurant, but they nicely packed everything to go and nothing turned over. The place was busy but I got my food in about 10 minutes. It was well worth the wait for sure. It's a small place but packs a punch with its decor and food. I grabbed a regular Chicago dog and then ordered a footlong Chicago dog. Chicago hot dogs are served on a poppy seed bun with a combination of green relish, pickled sport peppers, diced onions, diced tomato, a pickle spear, mustard, and NO KETCHUP. This is a great place to stop and grab a delicious hotdog. I had the Coney Island dog, and usually I'm disappointed with the sauerkraut at restaurants, but not here. I like my sauerkraut extra vinegary, which is exactly how Dogma's is. The mustard was flavorful, but not overpowering, and the hotdog was simple and delicious. The combo of all of those ingredients made for one delicious dog. I also tried the chili dog, and was surprised to see the chili had beans! I'm from Cincinnati, where the chili dogs have meat only chili, but the beans were a great addition. The chili had lots of flavor, and texture. The fries were also super delicious! The outside was crispy with a fluffy inside. Made sure to ask for a side of their pink sauce. It usually comes with the onion rings, but it is a perfect dipping sauce for the fries as well. I usually don't care about the service at restaurants, but the woman who took our order was extremely helpful and friendly! Well, this place really seem to be serious about getting the "natural" part right... I stopped by today and remembered that someone had mentioned that Dogma started selling hamburgers. And no, I'm no burger connoisseur, but I do love having a good burger in hand! And so I ordered one, for $4.50. And yes, I was surprised that the burger was kind of small (but it was still tasty). Yes, I realized I should have ordered another patty for $1 more. But really, what threw me off the whole time was that this guy literally got a ball of fresh (as in not frozen) meatball and smashed it to make a patty on the griddle. In other words, I had not expected that: 1) the patty would be formed by the cook 2) the patty would not be frozen 3) the patty would be 100% natural (I would have expected this if I read the signs carefully outside, which I didn't) 4) a pretty darn tasty burger - although a small one. So yes, you've got the sweet buns. The tasty toppings (I had ordered the Sedona burger that comes with avocado, bacon, spicy (but not too spicy) sauce, and stuff and stuff - something simliar to the toppings of the Cali dog) were good. I enjoyed my 1-patty meal with garlic fries ($2.85) and it was enough to satisfy me for the rest of the day. But if you're really hungry, add another patty. Pricey? Maybe, if you're used to ordering a burger at some other fast food joint. But then again, if this is pricey, so is Five Guys. And I much rather come here than there. I might even go so far to say this is Miami's answer a la mode fast-food to Five Guys & In-&-Out although I've never tried the latter. read more

I have always loved Dogma- how have I not reviewed you yet!! Let's begin with everything here is amazing. They prepare everything to order so it's all fresh and hot and delicious. Now in Covid times they are partnering with Uber Eats (at least, maybe more?) and even after delivery the food is still hot and fresh. No soggy buns or wimpy onions rings for me! I'm a big fan of their hot dogs. I love the Pitchfork with its yummy bacon bbq with sautéed onions and cheese- yummmmm how can you go wrong! Some other favs include the Chili Cheese dog, the Reuben which has sauerkraut, Swiss and 1000 Island dressing and the Tropical with 1000 Island, chips, Swiss, pineapple and bacon- yowza!! I love love love their onions rings but the fries are amazing too. If you love garlic try the garlic fries, there's enough for a friend for sure! Today I got a veggie dog with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions and mayo with a side of garlic cheese fries. My boyfriend got the tropical hotdog. "The best hotdog in the world"-my boyfriend. The dogs here are great, I like subbing their regular hot dog for a turkey dog because I prefer the flavor. My favorite dog is the Coney Island dog with spicy mustard & sauerkraut! My only qualms with this place is their cheese fries and their chili. The cheese fries are just fries with what seems to be broiled cheddar cheese on top, I personally prefer a cheese *sauce* with my fries, otherwise it's too dry for me. Also, I tried a sample of their chili and I wasn't a fan. The meat tasted very low quality, but my expectations for good chili were very low anyway. Like I mentioned, the dogs are very good, so definitely check this spot out if you're in the mood for a great hot dog. The buns are soft, and they have a lot of choices for toppings.
