Dog parents BEWARE. Everything below occurred during the 1.5 hours we actively watched on camera. We brought our dog in for her intro on 1/21/26 at 3:30 PM, recommended by our trainer. Check-in was wonderful: front desk staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to love dogs. They pulled up the cameras so we could watch while completing paperwork. Our dog was timid at first but began warming up after about 30 minutes. We were told that during the 4 PM break, dogs would be kenneled no more than 15 minutes. Instead, our dog spent about ¾ of her visit locked in a kennel, crying and begging to be let out. While another trainer fully cleaned their room and had dogs back out promptly, our dog's trainer delayed cleaning and only spot-mopped visible messes, pushing the mop over pee puddles and putting it back in the bucket. Dirty mop water was never changed. They use one mop for both clean and dirty water, and the buckets appeared not to have been cleaned in some time. Major safety concern: Mop buckets and spray bottles were left within reach of the dogs. Our dog was left alone in the room multiple times, jumping on kennels and sniffing at chemicals and mop water while unattended. After cleaning, all other dogs were released first. Our dog got ~5 minutes of group play, then 2 minutes of attention, and was placed in a kennel in a second room. She was never let out again until we arrived. Other dogs repeatedly approached her kennel wanting to play. She play-bowed, barked, spun in circles, and cried to be let out. She was ignored. At one point, a trainer was on her phone, leaning against the counter, while responsible for supervising multiple dogs. With this level of inattention, a serious fight or injury feels inevitable. Staff knew our dog is a recent rescue from the county shelter and that our main concern was kennels and barking being triggering. That concern became reality because she was kenneled most of the time she was there. When we reported everything, the front desk staff were genuinely upset and stated they had told the trainer multiple times to let our dog out. Based on their reactions, it appears the trainers involved have known issues. Front desk staff also had camera access, yet no manager checked on the trainers or the new dog. We chose to leave rather than wait to speak with the trainer. This facility charges premium prices so dogs aren't kenneled all day, yet they couldn't keep our dog out of a kennel for even an hour. After pickup, our dog curled into a ball in the car--behavior we hadn't seen since the day we brought her home scared from the shelter. She's normally happy and excited for car rides. A trip to the dog park immediately restored her usual demeanor. They knew we were watching. If this is how dogs are treated when parents are actively monitoring, imagine how dogs are treated when owners are at work. I'm grateful I watched the entire time. Don't learn this lesson the harder way. read more

A little disappointed in our first visit. When I scheduled the meet and greet the cameras weren't working so I couldn't see how my dog was doing. I dropped him off for his first day today and went to see how he was doing on the web cameras online but it said I don't have access. I emailed first thing in the morning but got no response all day and called twice with no answer. Would have been nice to see how my dog was doing. He also has dried urine on him so he needed a bath right away. read more

We've been taking our very active golden here since he was 1. He is now 6. Goes three days a week and he loves it there! The employees love on him and are so friendly! This is a daycare facility first, and they do a daycare test to make sure the new dogs are compatible and not aggressive towards other dogs, which I think is an amazing practice to keep doggies and employees safe! Boarding was successful but for the price you can get an at home sitter. My biggest gripe is the cleanliness. First off, it reeks of urine in the lobby. Like so strong you have to walk out after ten minutes for some air. Secondly, when I picked my dogs up, their beds were filthy and also smelled so strong of urine I had to throw them out. Lastly, my dogs reeked so badly of that strong urine smell I had to give them a bath when we got home. Also, I found caked up poop all over my dogs tail and butt. Probably won't be back. read more

My dog loves it here! Anytime I bring him here for daycare, he can't wait to get out of the car and go play! He's also boarded here several times and always comes home tired and happy. I recently had to board my dog at the last minute due to a family emergency, and the staff could not have been more helpful accommodating me! They even reached out while I was away to ask how my family was doing and let me know that my pup was doing great. It was a really nice gesture during a stressful time, and demonstrates how great the staff here is! read more

Our dog jessie loves when she gets to come here. It's easy to book and I love that they have a carpet outside for hot summer days. They have different playroom for the dog sizes. There are also cameras so you can watch the dogs play. They do have a nap time where the dogs are crated. There are also fun days each month with photos or special treats! We recently did the gone fishing day and got the cutest photo of our pup! read more

Highly recommend. I take my Xoloitzcuintli and Beagle here and they treat them very well. I love that you can view your pet on the webcam anytime. I constantly see them cleaning and taking care of the dogs which, I really appreciate. My Xolo is a little shy and they do a great job with her. We (and our pups) LOVE Dogtopia!! We have used many dog boarding facilities in several states and Dogtopia is hands down our favorite! The staff see us pull up and are always there ready and excited to see our dogs... calling them by name. They make the check in and check out procedure so simple. I have had an employee walk us to our vehicle to help with our dog's boarding bag of stuff. Customer service goes a long ways for me and they do it right here. We love watching our dogs play on the video cameras when we are out of town. They are always engaged, they do fun activities with the dogs, and the dogs come home smelling good... we've had other boarding facilities where they come home smelling awful. I have been bringing my pup to Dogtopia since she was a little. Then we got a second and continued to bring them. We were members at the Raintree location and Paradise Valley location and felt like our pups were part of a family and excited when they came in. We have now moved to Gilbert and it is completely different. The place smells like they can't keep up with the poop coming out of dogs or don't clean frequently enough. Today was the third time my dogs came back smelling like they have been peed on which was a disappointment since they had just been groomed. From now on we will be traveling back up north for daycare if needed. Not worth the money at the Gilbert location. read more

The place is really clean and good looking! We felt super comfortable leaving our dogs here. However I asked 3-4 times to clarify how much it was PER NIGHT PER DOG. Each time I was told it was either $53 for standard or $63 for the suite. I asked if that was the price for BOTH of them and was told multiple times it was. We did a trial this past weekend with our dogs and when I went to pick up was charged double and told I was informed wrong. They either need to get their information correct or get new employees. read more

So I'm a little disappointed that I have to change my review but I'm not sure that it's because we were new the first few times but they kept increasing price saying my dog is still growing and could continue to go up. They are really nice to my baby but they seem so judgmental on how I train my dog (type of collar) I go to a trainer for that info not the groomer. Also we get attitude on waiting too long to bring him back in. Im probably not coming back here but don't let this review dissuade people from going here. They are good with the dogs. read more

I have my two dogs being boarded at this facility. We came back from our trip on Sunday morning. I called and left a voicemail asking to pick my dogs up. I checked the webcams and did see employees there cleaning. My voicemail was not returned and now my dogs are sitting in cages ALL DAY because they are "closed" on a Sunday. I'm incredibly upset because I don't want my dogs in a cage all day long. There needs to be a direct phone number for dogs being boarded. read more

I'm writing this review for one reason in person in particular . I do not know know her name sadly. She has very poofy curls . And I've seen her in your toy box room. I've watched her on the cameras with the little dogs and you can tell they all adore her. They follow her around and she engages with them! I love that. She will run with them, carry them and sit with them. It's so refreshing to see. I've noticed some of the coaches just stand there and watch the dogs. And don't engage with them. You can really tell she takes the time to engage with every dog. Especially the older looking ones who are just sitting in the corners. She is one of The best coaches I've seen on camera. I wanted to book 2 nights of boarding for my dog so I logged into their website about 10 days before the date. I was slightly surprised that I needed to schedule a meet and greet but no big deal, I submitted a request for a meet and greet on that Friday. According to their website someone would call me back in order to get that scheduled for the Friday I requested but no one called until the Sunday after. Dogtopia left a voice mail on Sunday morning letting me know that the meet and greet is $15 and that I also need to schedule three half days of day care before any boarding. That would have been great to know before trying to schedule and waiting for a phone call that would be days later than promised. I checked a few other boarding places and no one else seems to have these requirements. I guess business is booming if you can get away with this but just know there are other options. read more

I'm a worry wort dog mom and I want my baby to be safe and happy. I'm glad I ran into Dogtopia while on my hunt to find a place to board her while I do some traveling. She LOVES this place. She knows exactly where to go for play time. Although I am still always worrying about her, I know she is in good hands. I can always watch her on their webcams to put me at ease, but they are shut off between 12-2 for nap time and shuts off at 7pm or 5pm on weekends. They sleep in crates or if you're boarding you can do the suites for an extra charge. They also have their own grooming section. They separate the dogs by size and temperament. There's a small dog area, large, and old/shy dog area. There aren't much dogs yet, which I do enjoy so it's not so over whelming for the dogs. The staff are amazing and playful with the dogs. Overall, I love this place and so does my baby. read more

Very professional team. We've had our two dogs (German Shepherd, Lab mix) dropped off for the Meet & Greet and an additional daycare day. The dogs get activity throughout the day (but can sit on the side if they prefer to watch the other dogs at play). The trainers are engaging them and there is always someone looking out for any potential conflicts or issues between dogs. They sort the dogs by temperament and/or size. The facility looks pretty clean and so far doesn't have a ton of dogs, so it isn't quite like some other places which have like 50 dogs in one room. The dogs have a nap time from 12-2 during which they're in crates, so it's pretty important that your dog is crate trained or at least doesn't have any negative experiences with crates. You can bring a dog bed or toy or blanket and they'll leave it in the crate so that your dog feels like they're at home. Looking forward to trying the overnight boarding service soon! P.S. They have spa appointments for your dog while they're here, so for an additional fee you can get that dog spa care so they come home fresh and clean. read more

So I took a chance in giving this place the opportunity to show me that they are good with dog grooming...Now..I have taken my babies to get groomed at maybe 3 different locations since I've had them and never...I mean never have they been cut causing bleeding due to them moving! Even as first timers! I do appreciate the lady telling me about the incident but she failed to tell me he had multiple cuts! Not only his ear! Then blames my baby for it! Dogtopia has literally been a life savor for our pup Gracie K. We started going to Dogtopia about a year ago when our young Golden Doodle started getting anxiety at home and we realized she needed to socialize with other Pups while I was at work. She had no problem fitting right in and made so many friends right from the beginning. She looks forward going to see her BFF's each day and I know she is well supervised and taken care of. I also experienced a evaluation that claimed my 7 month old husky was too shy and they said that they had a lot of dogs that day. They said they could call me when there was not so many. My dog usually plays at Dogs 24/7 but we thought we would try some place closer. We had a great experience at Dogs 24/7 if your looking dog playtime and boarding. We took our puppy of 9 months to be evaluated and we're shocked when less than 5 minutes they brought her out and said she was too shy. She is very sweet and NOT aggressive at all. Feel like they didn't really need the business if that is all the time they gave her to get adjusted to the situation. We want her to be socialized and thought this was a good way to do it. We recently boarded our 14 year old chihuahua at Dogtopia, who has a heart condition; therefore, needs to be on medication. Believe it or not, many boarding locations are hesitant to take senior dogs. I was extremely nervous about boarding her, due to the age and her health. I was assured that she would be taken care of and "not to worry". The owner went above and beyond to ensure that my lil' girl was taken care of and to communicate DAILY how she was doing. She sent me pictures of my girl in her lap (snuggling or sleeping), and basking in the sun on occasion. My dog was happy and comfortable-- and that's all any pet owner could ask for. So long story short we live really close and have two dogs. A little girl that's a terrier mix and a English Mastiff. We have taken our little dog here several times. They never mentioned that a bordatella vaccine was required and never asked us for proof of rabies vaccine either. She was current on her rabies. So we decided to take our mastiff to be groomed. We set the appointment for Monday at 3:00 pm. I show up at 2:30 and they say that their groomer didn't show up so they need to reschedule. Ok it happens I get it. They said they tried to call and it turns out they had one digit of the phone number wrong. I gave them her rabies vaccine certificate and we rescheduled for the next day. After I left they called and said they called our vet and she doesn't have the bordatella vaccine so they can't groom her. The next day my wife calls and asks why they have never even asked for vaccine info for our little dog. They put the owner on the phone and she was extremely rude and told my wife we should just find a new place to take our dogs. Very poor customer service and it seems like they just didn't want to groom our Mastiff. read more

From the moment I walked in Dogtopia, it felt different than any other boarding/daycare place I've been to. They took the time to meet my pet and didn't just throw her into a pack of dogs like some other places. The staff and owner are super friendly and you can see they care about the business and pups. I LOVE the fact that I can watch my pup through the camera on the ap. Feels so good to be able to check on them and also laugh seeing them have so much fun.
