Diane is absolutely amazing and you can see her passion with animals. I was looking for someone to cut my 11 week old puppies hair around his eyes and I called about 15 different groomers and they were either booked or asked for the breed and how old he was. The moment I said he was a puppy they said "no".. disappointing. I created a post on Facebook under "Ocotillo Friends" asking if anyone knew of a groomer who could clip around my pups eyes. I used this groomer for the first time 6 weeks ago for my 11-pound Bolognese. Strangely, after his grooming, he hid from me for four days. That has never happened before with ANY groomer. I asked the owner if anything unusual happened when he was there. Supposedly not. She offered video to support her position. I made an appointment for another grooming session for 6 weeks in the future. The owner suggested I stay during his session to hear what would transpire. But when I showed up for my appointment today, they said they were running an hour behind and would only give him a bath--no haircut, nails clipping, and teeth brushing. I was understandably upset as the owner had confirmed our understanding in a text message. I expressed my disappointment and they basically said it would be a good idea if I did not return. They need not have worried. That is no way to treat a customer. read more

Warning as I was never given one . I have taken my dog here for years . I had to cancel due to my mom being in the hospital. They said they could no longer book me due to cancellations . I don't cancel unless I absolutely have to . I have dealt with them cancel and changing appointment times and have been very understanding during the pandemic wish they had showed me the same loyalty and appreciation. read more

I scheduled him for a second grooming at the same place, but when I picked him up and brought him home, his behavior indicated something occurred there that traumatized him, so I decided to take him somewhere else for his third grooming. Fortunately for my little guy and me, I happened upon The Dirty Dawg Saloon via the Google machine. I knew nothing of them, but something felt so right just in the appointment booking conversation I had with the owner, so I went ahead and committed to an appointment. When I picked up my little guy, he looked amazing and was as happy as he was when I left him. I sense a plethora of care and gentleness with the folks at Dirty Dawg Saloon, and I'm about to schedule my little guy's 4th grooming appointment. After trying a couple of groomers including Pet Smarts for my mini schnauzer puppy, decided to give this place a try. By far the best. In other places they won't actually do the trimming since she is too young. In other place they did a terrible job and left her with uneven spots. At Dirty Dawg she immediately took her in and explained that she will train her with patience. She took her time and the haircut came back beautiful. Will definitely use them again. read more

This is the most fun I've had taking my dogs to get groomed. It's located off a dirt road on private horse property. The owner boards dogs and partners with a trainer if you need that service in addition to a caring and attentive groomer. She let my kiddos feed the horses, too. Finally, the prices are super reasonable - about $10 less per dog v. most other places. It's our new go-to for grooming. read more

Diane and her staff are great! They did a fantastic job grooming our golden retriever. They finished the job quickly, but were very thorough. Had a de-shedding done and our dog has never looked better. No hair coming off her at all. Also, Diane works incredibly well with dogs. Full disclosure. I have never boarded with Diane, she is a good friend. However, I recommended her to a work colleague. This guy is an Engineer. If you know Engineers you know how particular they can be. He talked to Diane on the phone in great detail and then went to see the facilities and met Diane in person. He felt comfortable enough to leave his dog there and was very happy with the service. He has used her several times since and will have no hesitation leaving his dog there in the future. Let me just tell you, if he is impressed it is with good reason. Diane is wonderful person. I have seen her around horses and mules and dogs. She really cares for animals. She makes sure her doggie boarders get more of a home away from home experience. The dogs have a great time hangin' out at the 'farm'. read more
