I was charged for a service I did not authorize and to me that feels like a scam. I dropped of shirts, specifically told them to wash and NOT dryclean, and they dryclean anyway. Eric tried to charge me close to $16 a shirt, unreal. I said, wait, it is that price for 7 shirts? and he said yes dryclean is expensive. I said I didn't authorize that, I said laundry specifically, and he was like ok, and tried to knock it down to $13 per shirt. I told him he is running a scam and that isn't right, and he said basically take it or leave it. Not to mention, I brought something in to be sewed once and they completely destroyed the garment. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a cleaners, or any retail store for that matter. I needed 5 pairs of pants hemmed and two simple dresses. plain cotton, no lining, very simple. I had called and asked pricing ahead of time and was told $24.50 for the pants. I did not so about the dresses. When picked them up the charge for each pair of pants was $45.00 and the energetic was not there. I was leaving town and had no time some paid and I incorrectly assumed they were honest and I would call when I returned to town. I called when I returned to town and was told by someone else that .I needed to bring the pants in. I had. bad feeling and I also had friends call and get quotes. I went in today with the pants and Eric straight out lied to my face and was rude. I reiterated that I was told $24.50 and he said it is always $45.00 and up which is a lie. I had friends call also and they were told $24.50. I checked an old receipt of mine when I got home for a dnother pants that were altered there 2 months ago and that was $24.50. same pants different color. I came to this cleaners to have some stains removed from a dress. From the moment I entered, Eric the owner was standoffish. No eye contact, no social skills, terrible customer service. He grabbed dress after reviewing the stains, walked away and said, "ready next week Tuesday" while giving me his back. I went to pick up dress and it had new stains. Very rudely, he grabbed the dress and said "come tomorrow" and walked away. I went the following day and upon checking dress, I noticed it had even more new stains. Unbelievable! I made him aware and instead of apologizing, he made a tantrum. After his tantrum he blurted, "dress had too many stains". He was basically blaming the dress instead of taking responsibility that he stained my dress. Again, he grabbed the dress and walked away saying, "come tomorrow." I made him aware the dress was for a wedding on the day he had originally told me to pick it up (1/12) and how disappointed I was with the entire experience since the wedding had past and he brushed me off. When I finally picked up the dress, the dress was not there. I was told the dress was misplaced but not to worry that it would be looked for and that I would get a call the following day latest 48 hrs to pick up dress. In the meantime, I was told to pay for the dress so I did. It's been almost a month and I have not heard back. I called and went in person to ask what happened to my dress and I was lied to. I was told that my dress was returned to me on time. That is not true. I also suspect the owner is a racist and takes advantage of female customers. I noticed he treated other male customers that were in the store with me. If you were of his race or a white man, he was super attentive and nice. With me and other women of color customers, he was rude. For feeling discriminated and my dress never returned to me, I do not recommend this cleaners. read more

I've been a very long time customer and will never give my business to them again. Eric, the manager/owner is dishonest and a thief. I brought in an expensive khaki trench coat that was my mother's and had been stained. He said it could not be cleaned and to die it black. Well, after a month and many follow ups, the coat was ready today. It is completely ruined and some gray color that is already rubbing off. He was very rude about it all and yelling at me. I had given them 10 shirts for laundry which typically I pay most cleaners $2-$3 per and they charged me $9.50 a shirt claiming that they "Hand Washed" the shirts. Never have I paid $95 for a basic shirt laundry nor was I told when I dropped off the shirts they would be "Hand Washed" and cost me $9.50 each. Terrible horrible AWFUL AWFUL!!!!!!!!! I had my Louis Vuitton purse dry cleaned here and they completely ruined the straps!! They hung the bag from a hangar when it was wet... or maybe they just wet it too deeply, I don't know how it works. All I know is when I got the bag back the straps were permanently deformed!!! I gave them a chance to fix it. They kept it for weeks and NEVER called to let me know it was "ready" I had to check in. The straps, lo and behold, looked exactly the same: RUINED!!!! If 0 stars was an option I'd mark this business as such. When I first dropped off I asked the associate how much for a small rug and they gave me the price of $3.50/lb for fluff and fold. My receipt to pick up said fluff and fold said $3.50. Once I came back to pick up they overcharged me and told me that rugs aren't fluff and fold, therefore the extra charge. I was never told this when I first dropped it and asked pricing. I was never called that it couldn't have been done as a fluff and fold service. Nor was I told that the price they initially told me had then changed. I had previously dry cleaned this rug before at a another shop and knew the weight, so there's no way it could have cost $50!!! I asked to speak to the manager and the associate told me walk over to the business next door, Doheny Dry Cleaner, to speak to the manager Eric. Now Eric never greeted me or was pleasant. VERY RUDE. I explained to him the situation and how I was originally told told $3.50/lb and that my receipt showed that amount. He then proceeded to get offensive and start yelling at me that I was wrong and that rugs aren't fluff/fold. And that I, the customer, was screwing him over. After some back and forth, I then told him I'd call my bank. He yelled that I didn't have the time deal and he would take me to court, over a rug! I then walked back over to get my rug and asked the associate for the name of the person that had taken my information in order to understand the miscommunication. Before she could respond, Eric stomped in yelling that I was wrong. I respectfully asked him to stop yelling at me and asked him if he could cancel my card and he took my rug, fluffed and folded in a bag, back behind the counter. He then told me to pay in cash as he was trying to void my card. I told him I wanted a receipt of the cancel charge and I said I didn't have cash, and he said that he'd keep my rug until I came back with cash. He ended up failing at cancelling my charge, and wasn't able to void it so I proceeded to tell him to give me the rug and that I'll be dealing it with my bank. I got my rug as he continued to yell at me on my way out. Needless to say I won't be returning. I highly recommend avoiding doing business here! Regardless of their longevity in this area, this business screams disorder and hostility. The issue isn't about the cost, the issue is the manager and being able to train the employees of what they are telling customers the cost of their services and what each item will be priced out to. The issue is how the manager/owner is addressing customer issues. There's no need to be upset, yell, and threaten. Explain the situation, offer a discount, offer a coupon. The key to business is to to keep customers returning, not intimidating them. Getting aggressive is not the solution. The customer feels screwed over and then a 1-star review is the end result. read more
