We switched to Perfect after a recommendation from a friend, after two other local dry cleaners destroyed several pieces of clothing and left our clothes with a terrible perfume smell (from not changing their fluid often enough, apparently). The Absolute Worst Experience - Avoid at All Costs Perfect Cleaners is anything but "perfect." I entrusted them with a brand new designer shirt, only to have it returned to me damaged beyond repair. What followed was an infuriating waste of my time, energy, and patience. Despite my repeated efforts to resolve the matter--including sending proof of purchase--the best they could muster was an insulting offer to cover only 50% of the cost. To make matters worse, I was dealing directly with one of the owners, Evan, whose behavior was shockingly unprofessional. His dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and overall carelessness perfectly reflected the culture of this establishment. Instead of addressing the situation responsibly, he was rude, combative, and made it abundantly clear that customer satisfaction means absolutely nothing to him or to this business. It's bad enough that a dry cleaner damages your property--but when they add insult to injury by refusing to take proper responsibility, it speaks volumes. Their staff, much like their management, are unprofessional, careless, and astonishingly indifferent to the fact that they are in a service industry. If you value your clothing, your time, or your sanity, I strongly urge you to stay far away from Perfect Cleaners. There are countless other dry cleaners who actually respect their customers and their belongings. Perfect Cleaners has proven themselves to be untrustworthy, irresponsible, and unworthy of anyone's business. Everyone that works there is really kind. The price was a bit high but the cleaning was well done. I was concerned though, because I noticed that they have a plaque commemorating that they donate tactical gear to the Israeli Military. I am a pacifist and don't feel comfortable having my cleaning dollars going toward war. I emailed them asking them about the tactical gear, but they did not respond. Save your time... Find another dry cleaning establishment. They are not reliable at all. I moved to the area a few months ago and was extremely hesitant about looking for a neighborhood dry cleaner because I didn't want to be disappointed... I gave this place a chance. Twice already (within a month) I've had items that can't be found (takes at least 2 people scrambling) and/or aren't finished when promised. It's ridiculous. I called Perfect Cleaners to inquire about their fluff and fold service, cost, and availability. I was assured the service would be ready by Monday, and I was given the cost. I informed them I would be coming in. When I arrived with my laundry, I was told it would be ready by 4 PM on Monday. I asked if 2 PM was possible, and the employee left to consult her manager. She returned and confirmed 4 PM, which I accepted. I also let her know one bag contained wet clothes since my dryer had stopped working. She left again to talk to her manager. The manager returned and informed me they could not take my laundry because I brought four bags and they were "at capacity." He then claimed I should have disclosed the number of bags when I called. Despite the miscommunication being entirely on their part, I offered to leave just two bags instead of four. The manager started making more excuses, claiming he would need to contact the owner for approval. When I asked why they didn't inform me of their supposed capacity issues when I called, he gave a nonsensical response that made it clear this was a failure of basic customer service. The entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Both the employee and the manager were rude and dismissive. The lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability is astounding. If Perfect Cleaners is at capacity and unable to take new laundry, they should be telling everyone who calls--simple as that. Instead, they wasted my time, made no effort to resolve the situation, and left me questioning how they stay in business with such abysmal customer service. Updated review. Not sure if there was a switch in management but it is an end of an era for me and this cleaner and I see the reason for the bad reviews. In the past month two cashmere sweaters have been ruined completely. I know modern Los Angeles thought is if you can afford nice things, you can afford to tip excessively and replace things people ruin for you and disrespect. It is as if I sent soft cashmere in and the sweaters were shaved down and heated into to scratchy oblivion or completely different sweaters were returned. I am switching dry cleaners and recommend you think twice before bringing in your garments here as their prices here are at an all time high and if you can afford nice things and high prices, you should go elsewhere with your money. I should have stopped coming when I asked for shirts to be laundered with light starch and the clerk told everything is dry cleaned and then she said "It won't save you money to launder them." It wasn't about money, it was about a preference to have shirts laundered and pressed professionally and not dry cleaned. I can ruin my clothes myself for much less. read more

Third time's the charm! I stopped by this place because it was close to work and they have a parking lot. I was skeptical due to their mixed reviews but I felt like my sweater was a lost cause so I thought I'd take a chance. The damage? (See photo) I had worn my favorite white cardigan under a black cloth trench coat for a few hours. When I got home and took off my jacket, the color from the trench coat had bled into my cardigan. Instead of being a creamy white, it was now a grayish purple all over with the heaviest stained areas under my arms and down my sides. I came on a day that the main cleaner had gone home early and the manager told my they'd use a dye remover to try to clean it but that I had a good chance of getting it back to normal because the color was white/not patterned. I dropped the cardigan off and was told to come back and get it in two days at the end of the day. A few days later, it was nice that I got a text saying my cardigan was ready ahead of time. I arrived and it still had a tint to it when they took it out of the green protective wrap. They said the lighting was dim in the back but out in the sunlight, they could see my concerns and they'd give it another clean and I could come back in a few days. I returned for the second time and it didn't look any better. I asked them to bleach it and they explained that they couldn't bleach it without ruining the integrity of the garment but they'd give it one more try. I came back the third time to pick up my garment and success!! The cardigan wasn't in the condition I bought it but it was white enough to keep wearing. They also gave me new customer coupons! Not once did they give me any issues about re-cleaning the garment and I didn't have to wait when I came to pick up my cardigan. read more

Brought in 1 blanket and 1 sweater. The blanket had a milk-dud spot of which I pointed out the second I walked in, guy brought it back to confirm said yes they clean take care, Great. Not so great when I picked up the 2 items the blanket still had the spot I went back to address the spot still on there. When I picked up again I received a notice that they are unable to remove the spot yeah because you permanently stained it into the fabric from the 1st process. MUST READ!! I have never in my life experience such horrible customer service. I came in to get a dress I bought for $500, to get shortened and the tailor ruined by shortening it so much, that my rear end was completely hanging out. (It goes without saying but this is not what we had discussed when I came in the first time.) When I talked to the owner (David) about it, he raised his voice and tried arguing with me about the fact that my dress was already "short enough" to begin with and that I didn't need to get it shortened at all. I felt completely shamed by David and felt I had to justify to him that I am only 5'3 and I need to get most of my things shortened. I will NEVER bring my business to this place again! I had to ask multiple times to be reimbursed for the huge mistake they made on my dress. David has multiple posts on yelp about how he is rude to customers and then attempts to help his reputation by commenting back, but there is absolutely nothing David can say to defend this one. Now this is owner is a businessman; he the owner of Effreys, Magnolia and 2 or 3 Perfect Cleaners. Unfortunately I have to rate this business a one star due to their lack of transparency on pricing. The price I was quoted nearly TRIPLED ($50 to almost $140) between the time I dropped off the bedspread and the time I picked it up after it was cleaned. When asked, it was explained that it was because my "bedspread" was actually a "comforter" and was a higher cost to clean, however this was not disclosed to me when I dropped off the item. This is pretty disappointing - I had been looking for a new dry cleaner, as my local place has gone out of business, but I can't support a company that takes advantage of people like this. It's no surprise they have such low ratings on here - lesson learned that I should have checked Yelp first. read more

Certainly the most expensive dry cleaner we have ever used, so be warned. Unfortunately we have been 3 times and every time the items have not been ready when we were told. The then required us going back to collect the next day. Cleaning quality is good but if I pay a premium then I at least expect things to be done on time, especially with an important service. My husbands shirts came out perfectly. Light starch was light and ironed beautifully and the dry cleaning was great. There was no chemical smells. To begin with it's the first time I'm leaving a bad review, I never do this. But my experience with this business is terrible. Charged $109 for steaming a shirt and two dresses. And this is considering that they told me it would be $45 when I came drop them off in the morning!!!!!!! Not sure how it ended up to be $109, no transparency whatsoever. They explained it as "miscommunication". In addition to this, they said that everything will be ready same day by 4pm. When I came pick it up, I was told that it's not ready yet so I had to come back for it later. Finally, my dress looked as wrinkled in the bottom as when I gave it to them to "steam". Initially, I thought it was dream come true to find a business that was consistent, and courteous, and took responsibility for their business, you know an accountable business and organized. After all, we trust our precious items to them. We trust our beautiful gowns and skirts and dresses and funky tops. Not so perfect Cleaners As a new customer it was nice to get a yelp discount on my first order. Granted a shirt had to be repressed as it was obvious they missed it, which ino big deal because they re-did it within 24 hours. The second time I brought in clothes they proceeded to put creases in my pants when I specifically requested no creases and it was noted. They also put line marks on my pants I don't know if it was a burn or from the pressing. They tried to tell me my pants were already damaged but funny how they were brand new pants that had been pressed previously by them. They claimed that there was "stress marks "on my pants when I showed them there were no stress marks, they pushed back and when I looked at their notes it said "stress marks on the rear of leg" but the issue with my pants were on the front. They tried again and one pair of pants came out fine and sadly the other didn't. They tried to claim that my pants were damaged when they were not at all again they were brand new pants probably two weeks old While I'm very patient when dealing with mistakes a service provider makes, what I don't appreciate is them trying to blame me for their mistakes. It seems they mark close damaged when they're not. If the issue only happens once, ok bit there were issues with both orders. Sadly this new customer, is no longer going to be a customer at all. read more

This was my first ever experience using a dry cleaner, and to be honest, it didn't go great. I brought in some clothes that had gotten oil all over them from careless airline employees mistreating my baggage once it was checked under the plane. Since the clothes seemed like they needed to be taken care of by professionals, I decided to bring them by to Perfect Cleaners. The lady at the front desk assured me that all of my clothes should be totally fine in a situation like this. She told me oil/tar tends to come out on simple cotten shirts very easily once dry cleaning solution is applied. The one article of clothing her and myself were most worried about was a wool jacket that had quite a bit of oil on it. So I came back a few days later, once my clothes had been cleaned to find out that mostly all of them came out okay, including the wool jacket, which I'm very happy about! However, an expensive shirt that I had just purchased, and quite literally had worn once, had been stained with white bleach from an attempt to get the oil out! So instead of cleaning it, they permintly damaged it... I asked what we could do about it, and the best I got was a $6 store credit... this shirt was over $100. If the wool jacket had been ruined it wouldn't have bothered me, because we had talked about it prior to getting the clothes cleaned, but since the shirt was supposed to be fine, I didn't appreciate the way this was handled. At this point I felt a little uneasy about the service and was fairly certain that I deserved more in return considering they didn't take care of the shirt as intended at all. Finally I got home and took a good look at all of my stuff that I had brought them, only to find out that a sweatshirt that I gave to them shrunk considerably in the sleeves! So at the end of the day, two items I brought them got ruined and all I got was a $6 store credit! I'm very disappointed considering both the oil spill, and the bleach stain/sweatshirt shrinkage were not my fault, but yet I'm the one paying the price for all of this! read more
