We went here after our dinner plans failed, cause why not have dessert for dinner when life doesn't go as planned! The food was so good and they were quick with getting it to us as well! I was shocked by the food and can't wait to go back! It can be hard to find but don't give up! You have to try this place asap!

Went here for a nice dessert to end date night. We ordered the honeydew melon boba, biscoff taiyaki, custard taiyaki, & a blossom cake crepe. Staff will wait for you to ring the bell to order. They have a board which shows how long it will take to get more labor intensive items such as the pancakes. It is a busy spot with limited parking & the sign can be tough to spot as it's sandwiched between 2 other places. I left off a star due to the long waits for popular items, difficulty finding the location, & lack of parking. Food was great, but be prepared to wait (like an hour) for select items.

My kids adore the desserts here, especially the pancakes! The food is great, but the service could use some love. We waited about 10 minutes for the cashier to come out from the kitchen, even after ringing the bell twice. There was no greeting when she finally appeared, and the tables were dirty (I had to clean ours myself). The gold knives on the table were dusty, and they were out of plastic knives. Still, the food is worth it--we'll probably just do to-go next time!

I stopped by Doki Doki and tried the passion fruit cake and the mango panna cotta both were amazing! The passion fruit cake was light, fluffy, and had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. The mango panna cotta was so smooth and refreshing, not too heavy but full of flavor. Everything tasted super fresh and beautifully presented. Definitely a spot I'll come back to for desserts that look as good as they taste! The cutest ambiance with the best music and the service was amazing There are a few parking lots nearby as well

I love the atmosphere here. The service is quick and everyone here is nice. The Ube latte was delicious and not too sweet. Everything is fairly priced and is a great place to stop by and relax.

Got the Bunny panna cotta with ube sauce, less than $5! It was tasty. You don't have to get ube, they have a ton of other sauces as well. Loved all of the anime and studio ghibli art inside

Soufflé pancakes are the best and doki doki is the bomb. It turned my frown upside down.

Visiting from Vegas here and this shop is so cute. Right as you come in it has a calming aesthetic. It has K-pop music playing and anime decorations. It has claw machines too which is great. The dessert is so good and it's so aesthetic. The desserts are really yummy and they have a lot of flavors and options. I love the bunny pancotta. The service was pretty good too. The staff is very kind. Overall, this place is awesome and I 1000000% recommend you go here! I love it!

Doki Doki has amazing Asian desserts. It is a cute cafe perfect for dates and hangouts. They are famous for their crepe cakes and fluffy pancakes, and even have bunny-shaped panna cotta. I enjoy their crepe cakes the most, especially the ube and passion fruit flavors. I tried the mango basque cheesecake this time, and it was amazing! The fluffy pancakes could take like 30 minutes because they make it fresh, so I didn't order it this time, but I'd like to try it out next time!

Cute little Asian cafe in SLC. I chose this place because I saw they had a lot of Corgi decor. As a proud father of two Corgis, how could I not visit them? The service is at the counter here. You order and they bring it to you. It wasn't super fast but it wasn't slow either! We were in good company so no complaints there. Their selection is interesting. I do wish they had red bean taiyaki. The tiramisu is not to sweet; perfect in my opinion. The taiyaki was also very fluffy and tasty. I highly recommend Doki Doki and a night lite dessert option!

Cute place with desserts to match! I love the variety they have in types of desserts and flavors. The atmosphere is cute and friendly. Would come here again! It can be busy in the evenings or weekends so ordering ahead can be super helpful! We enjoyed the peach cobbler crepe cake slice and the longan supreme fruit tea. Both are sweet and shareable.

Food is excellent. The Japanese Fluffy packages are worth the cost and the wait. The fish waffles are delicious and the panna cotta bunnies are yummy and so cute. Haven't tried the crepe cakes, but they look absolutely delicious.

My husband got the chicken and waffles, and I got the Ricky burger with fries. We also got the waffle monster to share. My husband really liked his chicken and waffle. The presentation was adorable. He said it was on the sweeter side, and he liked that. My burger was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Next time, I'd go for waffles or one of their baguettes. We saw our friends as well as a few other patrons and the baguettes look AMAZING. They are totally loaded up. Our friends liked there's and enjoyed the waffini as well. Their one year old loved everything. The waffle monster was the highlight for me. The biscoff added a really good touch. Our friends got the rhapsody and that also looked incredible. If you're looking for pastries that are as stunning as they are delicious, Fillings & Emulsions…read moreabsolutely delivers. Their fruit-shaped creations are little works of art--so realistic it almost feels wrong to eat them... almost. Each pastry is fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The pistachio was incredibly tasty, though definitely on the richer side, so it's one you might want to savor slowly. The raspberry had a beautifully balanced sweetness with a vibrant, delicious filling. The lemon was very zingy--almost intensely so--but still delightful if you enjoy bold citrus flavors (just maybe not an entire one in a single sitting). The standout, though, was the mango. Easily the winner. It had such a bright, powerful flavor, and the fresh mango inside made every bite feel special. Everything about it--from taste to presentation--was just beautiful. The only slight letdown was the macarons. While still good, they didn't quite match the intensity and uniqueness of the pastries and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you appreciate creative, high-quality desserts. It's clear a lot of skill and care goes into every piece. I loved the building that the pastry shop was in, as it had a "lunch room" feel to it. There are a few restaurants inside so there are options and there's plenty of seating.

I thought it sounded yummy since I enjoy matcha and ube. So I checked it out today for a post-lunch dessert. I really enjoyed it and definitely plan on returning to try some of their other offerings. Today I ordered the matcha ube shaved ice and the cherry blossom latte (I had them make mine using coconut milk). I ate the shaved ice at the cafe and took the cherry blossom latte to go because I wanted to drink it later. They put it in a cute bag! Since it was my first visit there I wanted to try the ube and matcha separately, so for the shaved ice I ordered matcha shaved ice on the bottom, followed by the matcha soft serve and then the ube soft serve on top of that. Next time I order the shaved ice, I think I will most likely have the matcha shaved ice with the matcha/ube twist soft serve on top now that I know how each one tastes on their own. I also would do matcha shaved ice with just the ube soft serve on top. Or maybe ube shaved ice with matcha soft serve on top. The matcha was tasty, and like other reviewers have said, you can tell it's good quality matcha. I really enjoyed the ube, it was very yummy to me. I think for my next visit I'm going to try the ube parfait. The cherry blossom latte was good. I got the sweetened version (it was lightly sweetened not super sweet, which I liked). I didn't want something super sweet. It didn't/doesn't have matcha in it. That was fine with me because I wanted to save it for later and didn't want to have caffeine later in the day. I do think it would taste good with matcha in it though. Overall I enjoyed this cafe. I look forward to trying more items. As of right now the other things I want to try are the ube parfait, the shaved ice again, the warabimochi, the hojicha yuzu latte, and the strawberry matcha latte. If you like matcha and/or ube, I would definitely recommend checking out Matcha Café Kyoto. I know I will be again. Support a local business so that they are able to stay around for us to enjoy.

The bathroom is hidden to the right of the store walking in. Just a warning, the further you go in the store, the more it smells like bathroom... When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted - which is fine, there were a handful of people inside. While ordering, I had asked what was popular and what the cashier suggests, and she said "matcha". I told her it was my first time but she didn't proceed with any recommendations. I decided to go with the ube matcha with oatmilk. She then asked if I'd like cream with it, I had asked if she suggested it and she responds with "well everyone gets it with creamer". Ok so I agreed to try it out. Why not cause everyone gets it with creamer right? I waited about 10 mins, which isn't bad considering the amount of people. She called my name and had 3 other drinks with her. I asked her if the one she was handing me was with oatmilk , and she says "well that's what you ordered right" I tried it and it wasn't oatmilk. I brought it up to her attention and she kinda just said "sorry" and that was all....unfortunately, I can't say it was the best service. If I decide to come back next time, I'll only get straight matcha instead of a latte just to try again. The matcha didn't have a strong taste to it. It was on the watery side. Perhaps I came on the wrong day a they were off with their orders. Who knows...

Employees are friendly and helpful. I sampled the G.O.A.T. Wonderful flavor that didn't taste at all like goat cheese, which is used to make the base. There is a blueberry swirl and rosemary seasoned almond slivers. So good. I also sampled their Mint Chocolate Chip. It was white. They seep their mint leaves or some process that I can't exactly remember to make the base. Different. Tastes great, more spearminty than the usual mint chocolate chip ice creams. I had the Muddy Buddy and Honeycomb. The Muddy Buddy was good, I enjoyed the chocolate ice cream. It needs more of that delicious peanut butter ribbon and less of the Muddy Buddy Chex. There were too many which got in the way of enjoying the ice cream and they were too sweet. Not going to order that again. The Honeycomb--oh my. I should have just gotten two scoops of that. It was divine. Good reason why they are known for it. So glad that they are open until 11:00 p.m. That makes it nice for when you get out of an Utah Symphony concert at Abravanel Hall. $7. 2 dark chocolate truffles. Bourbon & Marzipan $5.50. 1…read moresingle scoop Spumoni It took me a minute to get my bearings in this shop. There's a craft counter, a chocolate counter, and an ice cream counter, and no clear lines or what not. At first glance, it's not immediately obvious where to focus your attention, so I went with the ice cream for here and took the chocolates walking. The owner was out on the floor chatting with customers, which gave the place a welcoming and local feel. It was nice. A few times I hovered close to him and tried to find an opening to ask him some questions about the products, but he was busy with other guests. As for the history of the business, there are enough newspaper clippings and articles on the walls to keep anyone occupied while waiting. Most of the staff appeared to be high school- or younger college-aged employees handling the day-to-day operations. The ice cream isn't made in-house (it's Farr's brand), so this review is more about the experience than the product itself. The serving size was fair, and I opted for the spumoni. Yes, really, spumoni. Three other people in our group between their twenties and forties had never even heard of the flavor before. The ice cream is scooped from a mixed single barrel rather than barrel with separated sections, so the chocolate, pistachio, and cherry had blended together. It was kind of like putting different sodas into the same cup. While I enjoy ice cream and these flavors, others might not think the same. The standout items for me were the chocolates. The bourbon chocolate came with a huge flavor punch. It was rich, bold, and intense enough that I needed a break and a glass of water afterward. It's not for the faint of heart and you need to be serious about chocolates to have an appreciation for this one. The marzipan, on the other hand, was a perfect follow-up. Not to sweet, balanced, and a very nice almond flavor. It was delicious and served as a nice palate refresher after the bourbon's performance. Between the chocolates and the owner's visible presence this was an enjoyable stop. The chocolates were easily the stars of the visit and worth it if you're in the area.
