This place is very expensive for what it actually is. For a side of bacon it was $3.50 I don't mine that but when it's microwaved an u can almost buy a lb of fresh bacon for that. I ordered my eggs Sunnyside up the white was not cooked all the way, so I told the waitress that the eggs were over easy not how I wanted them so she told the cook an I heard him say no that's Sunnyside up an he proceeded to carry on about it for the restaurant to hear (Embarrassing). One of my favorite places to eat! The prices are just right with many things made in store. The Paninis and Savory Crepes are exceptional. Try the house baked turkey for a delicious sandwich. I'm tentative to give this place a 4, as I was leaning towards 3, but I'm giving it a 4 because the "problem" might be me. I *hate* asking for water and having it served in a thimble. I get the whole "trying to be upscale" thing, but when you ask for water, it shouldn't be served in something the size of a shot glass. Coffee is one refill, which is a little annoying. I don't mind spending money, but will say, prices here are on the higher side. Crepes themselves were good, as was the coffee. So, one crepe each for my wife and I, and two coffees...nearly $30 with tip. When we left, first thing we wanted to do was eat again...read as: the crepes weren't enough. But, giving this is a 4, tentatively. Can't say we'd go again, or go out of our way, but it's a possibility. Great breakfast We stopped here on a Wednesday morning on our way through town. Free range eggs and gluten free crepes or pancakes available. Organic smoothies, too with milk alternatives including almond milk. We had a scrambled goat and a gluten free crepe with free range eggs and fresh spinach. The best egg salad I've ever had. I had a egg salad with fresh tomatoes, spinach and carrots with olive oil and salt. Very simple but the egg salad was so flavorful, it really highlighted the entire dish! Well done! Will definitely come back! read more

Excellent breakfast. Big variety of eggs and sandwiches and they will accommodate any changes of the menu. I had the egg salad and avocado sandwich and it was delicious. Great creeps too! Went here today by recommendation.. Was not that impressed....yes the food is the freshest I have tasted in awhile. That's about it. The waitress seemed unhappy almost as she didn't want to be there, the food is over prices, even for fresh food. Also my guest wanted to have an egg omelet instead of scrambled (which shouldn't be a big deal) but upon talking to the owner/chef and offering some ideas and I put from a customers point of view he made it seem like he was going out of his way to prepare something special. It is very unlikely that I will return nor would I suggest this place to anyone read more

This is a cute little spot. Breakfast was good. Lunch options aren't that great. Think airport food. The staff seems inexperienced. It's ok.

Friendly service and a cute cafe however the food was terrible. The bacon was thin, brittle, covered in a pool of grease and tasted AWEFUL. Scrambled eggs were a mess and brown from grill grease. Pancakes tasted like Bisquick. Ham slices were served in a lump - all the sliver slices were stuck together. Barely toasted bread was stale. Will not go back. read more

WAY too expensive. $13 for two pieces of french toast? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't french toast made from bread, eggs and milk? How the mighty have fallen. Used to be THE breakfast spot in Kingston. Added more rules & regulations to their menu than the DMV. Raised prices to be nearly the most expensive breakfast in the entire city. Now projects an air of entitlement with egregious prices, passive-aggressive admonishments for requesting anything not pre-approved by management. When busy, universally poor service. Menu shrinks every 6 months. Atmosphere is cramped, artwork bland and unchanged for years. The food is still mouthwatering, but I have stopped going. Everything else about this place has plateaued or gone downhill, and I pray the bad reviews are a wake up call to correct course and regain the breakfast throne. The food is good enough. Cute and chic but super DISAPPOINTING! This place will leave you hungry and with a slight dent in your wallet. In other words small portions for inadequate prices! Poor service, inexperienced staff. Long wait for everything even though half of the tables are empty. Very decent food.

Disappointing. Though hours continue til 2:00 pm, the sandwiches and salads no longer appear on the menu (replaced by crepes or croissants). An excellent tuna melt, formerly on the menu, is now gone. Eating a fried egg as the main protein at 1:30 pm is not my idea of lunch. There are no sides accompanying the entree (for comparison, go uptown to My Sister's Place to see the difference). Evidently Cash is King here not he Customers- they take no credit cards and charge extra for many items. When ordering a sugar crepe and asking for some syrup we were told "it's on it" and we could have a shot glass more for $1.85. Two eggs over easy came with nothing else on the plate no potatoes no garnish not even toast. Coffee was cold and when offered a fresh cup, it was poured on top of the cold coffee. We were advised that any other refills would be at a charge. Although the food is good they do nothing to make your meal complete or enjoyable. All the add-ons became annoying. The absolute most disrespectful waitstaff i have ever experienced. We did get to the restaurant 25min before closing however the hours of this place change on a day to day basis. I had to constantly get up to retrieve items such as straws and napkins. When I asked for extra napkins I was handed one napkin, oneeeee. When my bf asked for butter and jam she slammed them on the counter, he said thank you and she returned his graciousness with a forced, smug grit and teeth baring smirk. She threw the check on the table without asking if we would like anything else. I asked to speak with a manager but she had already left. I told the waitress she was very rude and she told us "what do you expect when you come 10min before closing" I told her regardless of that, that you don't treat customers like that and the hours of the establishment change constantly. She replied with "well don't come back here." I replied "that's how you speak to your customers, consider a career change." And it wasn't the fact that the girl could have been having a bad day, I've had her as a waitress before and that is how she always acts. Bad move honey, I'll be contacting the owner of the establishment shortly. Maybe you won't have to consider a career change but rather be forced into one after your fired. Good luck with life with that attitude... You won't be getting too far. Really upsetting that the food is delicious and all I left with was a bad taste in my mouth because of that waitresses cold demeanor. The one star is for the good food otherwise I wouldn't have given one at all. Honestly, the only good thing about this place is the food. I've never been to an establishment where the service and management is so cold and cares so little about their patrons and so much more about making money. I'm local and have been to this establishment many times and have had multiple negative experiences with the service there (shame on me for continuing to support this business-clearly, I will not continue to do so). The last time I was there was the true deal-breaker: I took my friend who was visiting from a different state there for a nice breakfast. 40 minutes after being there, we were rushed along and were LITERALLY asked to get up and leave so that other people could be seated. Now, if we were completely done with our meal and had just been sitting there endlessly, I could understand possibly pushing us along a bit. However, we paid for two full breakfast plates (which are not cheap by the way) and were still finishing our coffees when we were so rudely asked to vacate our seats. "We can bring you to-go cups" was what the waitress offered. I stopped her and made it a point for her to relay back to the owner, who just from being in small town, I know is quite an unprofessional business woman, how rude and unnecessary it was to ask people to leave a place where they had just paid for a complete meal. There was an empty table of four that was made from two tables of two that could have been easily utilized to seat the only two people who were waiting for a table. The sad thing is that we probably would have gotten up within the next few minutes, done and happy, but because we were asked to leave prematurely before we were finished, I was very upset and unhappy. I was embarrassed to have brought an out-of-towner to a place that I had recommended and picked. Needless to say, I will no longer be supporting this local business, which is a sad thing in such a small town. Word spreads fast and I hope that others can realize the unprofessionalism of this establishment before they choose to waste their money there. read more

The RUDEST woman wait staff EVER!!!!!! Such a shame as the food is delicious. Went for Mother's Day with my daughter - called to see what their hours were today - although I did not ask if you needed a reservation you would think the person telling me the hours for the day would have said that reservations were needed. Drove down there to have brunch and was told that we needed a reservation (very rudely) and to have a seat and she would see if something could be worked out. Left us waiting about 15 minutes - we were just getting ready to leave when she said we only have outside seating (very rudely). I said that this was totally fine. We had an okay meal - my tea was cold NOT hot but my crepe WAS hot. Out MALE waitstaff was courteous AS ALWAYS. Waited 15 minutes outside to get check and a"to go" container. It was very busy and I felt that waiting 15 minutes was fair - I cleaned up our table - brought the plate inside that we needed to be put in a box and asked for our check - the EXTREMELY RUDE FEMALE WAITSTAFF told me I had to wait - I said that I had already waited 15 minutes and I needed to go. She threw the leftover pancakes and bacon into a container and shoved it across the counter - REALLY??????? The COURTEOUS gentleman who had waited on us gave me our check which I pain, tipped him well and left. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO DOLCE EVER!!!!!!!!! read more
