They have farm-fresh eggs, locally-grown salad greens, sausage, cheese, breakfast tacos, baked-from-scratch pop tarts, Texas pretzel bread and other items in this small store, without feeling crowded. At the coffee bar, I had a cortado (Spain's take on a cappuccino -- equal parts espresso and steamed milk) along with a little chocolate truffle. We also picked up some Opa Klein's amazing summer sausage and a six pack of Stash IPA to go. We're coffee snobs. We'll be back for the best cuppa joe in town, at a minimum. Special thanks to Mike K (one of Tracy's baristas) for telling us about this place as he serenaded us during brunch at downtown restaurant. He's a very talented guy, and very proud to be associated with this quaint and historic Bastrop fixture. She advised us that during this covid pandemic Walmart WILL NOT accept anything back without a receipt! My husband got infuriated&stormed out of the store after a few words to the associate.At least he had the mind to call management from our vehicle&was ready to let them have also...
