Look at the carts blocking isles and shelves
    Gail J.

This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen! There are metal stocking carts full of items everywhere. Cant even see the stuff on the shelves to buy it. Unless you want to move all the carts that are full of new inventory that are blocking almost everything. More than 40% of the shelves are empty! They have shelves that are taken apart and left in the aisles. I'm not sure what has happened but since this store opened 10+ years ago it has never looked this bad! I took plenty of pictures and plan to send them to the corporate office.

So bam... I went to Dollar Tree like I normally do because it's honestly one of my favorite ones…read more It's one of the smaller locations, but it's super convenient and usually my go-to. Soon as I walked in though, I noticed the line was literally ALL the way to the back of the store down the beauty aisle I'm sitting there like... "Are they giving away free money in here or something?" because I have NEVER seen it that bad before. On top of that, chirren were running around unattended like it was recess. Then what really got me was it was around 5 PM and there were boxes EVERYWHERE. And when I say everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. I'm guessing the night shift hadn't stocked yet, but trying to maneuver through those aisles was frustrating. It was basically me sliding sideways between people and boxes trying to shop. I couldn't find my normal items, so I asked one worker for help, but baby she had both AirPods in and acted like I was invisible So I asked another employee that was stocking, and she actually stopped what she was doing to help me, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, we still couldn't find the item. Big bummer. At that point I was just walking around hoping the line would magically get shorter. Spoiler alert: it did not. By the time I finally got in line, it was still wrapped halfway through the aisle. Then FINALLY somebody must've said, "Hey... maybe we should open another register." Well duh I jumped into that line and eventually checked out, but for me to only have a few items that fit in ONE bag and still spend that much time in there? Crazy work. I'm giving a fairly low score this time because the whole experience felt like pure chaos. Hopefully it was just an off day because this is normally one of my favorite Dollar Trees.

There aren't huge piles of merchandise blocking walkways, making it hard to see the shelves. I'm not really liking how the prices are all over the place. There's not much clarity on how much anything is. We went from $1.25 to $1.50 seemingly overnight and now most things are $2 with many items hanging from $5 to $20. It's almost as if the Dollar Tree is now the Dollar General.

How exciting is it to FINALLY have a children's consignment store in Hutto!?…read more Tiny Texan is a family owned shop located off of CR119 in a fast developing shopping center. It's tucked away in the middle so it's a bit hard to locate at first. The parking is a bit odd cause you'll more than likely have to park directly in front of another business- and while that sounds normal, once you see it, you'll know what I mean! When you enter Tiny Texan Exchange, it is a small shop but it is full of merchandise! There is a growing selection of infant, toddler, small child, and maternity clothes. As well as toys, accessories, baby gear, and a few other bits and bobs. My son, unfortunately, did not fit anything that had to offer at the time (pre-grand opening) so we opted to purchase a couple toys! The owner was there, working hard, and holding great conversation the whole time! She loves to yap- a woman of my own heart! We look forward to selling items and hopefully purchasing clothing in the near future. At this time, they are only offering store credit for sold merchandise but for most that works out perfectly!

They had a pretty great selection of clothing, most of it in great condition. I found my daughter a pair of nice jeans and a cute top. They also have some toys and books for sale. Prices are very reasonable. One of the best parts is that they have a play area (gated) so your kid can have fun while you shop. Brilliant. My daughter was super excited about this (we just dragged her through the antique mall nearby where she couldn't touch any of the collectible toys, haha). The owners are really nice and helpful. We found out that they also work with local organizations that connect them with families in need. Awesome. Great experience and will definitely be returning. If you're here thrifting, check out the Hutto Antique Mall as well as Second Chance Resale (in the same shopping plaza).

With a rough idea of what I wanted and a rudimentary rendering, Matt turned my idea into a perfect, custom built desk that fits not only the space, but my craft needs as well. The entire experience was exceptional - Matt communicated each step along the way, providing answers to every question and detailed schematics. He also pointed out potential flaws in my original dimensions and took great care to get me the piece I actually wanted. With tons of stain choices, I was able to get the exact look I wanted and can't wait to get everything set up on it. Also I was able to select the exact trims and finishing to really make this piece one of a kind. Obviously, you pay a bit more for a custom piece vs. heading to your local big box store, but it is worth every penny as I know this piece will last me a lifetime. It is SOLID wood - unlike the pressboard you might find elsewhere. The hardware used to put it together is also of the highest quality giving me confidence that if I need to move, it can easily be disassembled and put back together. It is extremely well-built and sturdy so I have no doubts that it will support my sewing habit. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and the service Matt and his team provided and will definitely go back should another custom piece be needed in the future.

Over the past couple of months, however, I have noticed what appears to be a change in management at this location. The current manager is often rude not only to customers but especially to employees. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed him publicly reprimanding employees in front of customers, and when calling for staff members, his tone is frequently aggressive and unnecessarily loud. What makes this particularly unfortunate is that the employees themselves are consistently kind, helpful, efficient, and seem to do an excellent job. They are always quick to assist customers and contribute greatly to the positive atmosphere of the store. It is disappointing to see them treated in a manner that appears disrespectful and unprofessional. Despite these concerns, I still enjoy shopping at this store and would recommend it for its reasonably priced clothing, accessories, and unique finds. My hope is that management will take steps to foster a more respectful and supportive environment for both employees and customers.
