The pavement is bumpy but I will not complain about it nor Dollar Tree. The lines at Dollar Tree can be long. Lots of people love to shop at Dollar Tree. The store is really lacking on snacks and food overall lately I'm not sure why. The only reason I can think of is there's a hotel nearby and people are scooping up on the cheaper food. They have a good selection of : beauty supplies soaps toys birthday supplies crafts etc.! The workers are usually fairly friendly everytime I'm at this dollar tree! If you want something from the dollar store this is the most well stocked location I have seen around this area. The aisles are consistently packed with all your goodies and there is never a long wait at the registers. I love coming here before movies too, hint hint ;) Do note that this is now the 1.25 store so inflation has finally caught up! read more

I am new to the dollar stores. But am a quick fan. I am a volunteer at the local animal shelter- we have a lot of pit bulls, who keep getting over looked. An easy way to get attention for our shelter pups is to dress them up. At $1 an item- it is affordable to find fun and festive seasonal costumes to dress them up in. I am loving the fairy wings- many dogs have been adopted when wearing fairy wings while out on field trips in the community. They also have great necklaces and headbands. This most recent trip, I was looking for pool/beach costumes. We are taking two shelter dogs to the Pacifica Dog Surf Competition tomorrow. So obviously, the dogs would need some beach wear. We got some fun sunglasses, goggles, floaties, flower necklaces, and bubbles for our big adventure. I usually go in the morning, after the gym. What happened to this Dollar Tree, it was the best, fully stocked and great customer service. But as of yesterday August 19, 2024 the store is unrecognizable, the shelves are practically empty, and gone are the familiar friendly staff. Possibly new ownership, because I've never seen this store be more of a mess! There were boxes and boxes of unpacked merchandise in the aisles. Then to top it off I witnessed two unfamiliar male employees have a poor customer service attitude. The first incident went like this; the customer paid for his items, then wanted to trade his purchased drink for a colder bottle. The cashier gave him the okay, however the other guy asked out loud " did he pay for that? " This caused the customer public humiliation and the scene became uncomfortable. The other employee attempting to unpack boxes would watch customers with contempt as if they maybe were attempting to steal from the store. So the atmosphere has changed and become tense and unfriendly. There are a number of other Dollar Tree stores in Concord. Hope they remain a.better place to shop. read more

Heads up. Was just at this location and the cashier was showing signs that could be Covid-19 related. She could not stop coughing the whole time she was checking us out. The one star is for how I witnessed an elderly lady be disrespected by the cashier. The older lady had breakable items that she was going give out as gifts. The cashier yelled at her and said, I DON't HAVE ANYTHING TO WRAP THOSE. Just so rude! The lady replied can you wrap a bag around each one and I will pay for the bags? I felt so bad for the elderly lady because as the cashier wrapped each item, she thanked her. It was so bad I went to another cashier. I could not take how this elderly lady was so disrespected and she was trying to kiss the cashier's butt. I will definitely let Dollar Tree Corporate know about this incident. read more

This dollar tree is located conveniently behind Brendan Theatre behind park and shop plaza off of Salvio Street. I personally prefer coming to this Dollar Tree vs the one in Pleasant Hill because this store has lots of parking. This store isn't always the most organized however you'll find what you need if you are a frequent shopper. I love Dollar Tree's household cleaning items ( bleach, gloves, disinfectant and etc). They also have disposable aluminum trays in all different sizes which come handy year round but more so on the holidays for cooking. Paper plates, stationary items, gift wrap and tape are my faves too. Every holiday they have a theme where you can pretty much get anything to decorate your home temporarily until the next holiday. I always pick up candy for Christmas and make gift bags for all the kids in the family. The lines move very fast here. The staff is always smiling and ready to help. Everything is a $1 and if you take care of the item you darn sure will get your moneys worth. read more

I've been going to this Dollar Tree for over a year now & haven't had too many issues inventory wise! They have essential foods, bags of ice on deck, multiple ways for you to save money when you're on a budget/crisis to feed your family. The woman last night greeted me and also assisted me at checkout. I was very pleased with the service and all the new items they have in store. The low-priced market in Concord just heated up: Dollar Tree opened in the big white building in the vicinity of downtown Concord. It's a big one, much bigger than the other Dollar Trees in the area. It has the usual array of merchandise that you'll find in Pleasant Hill, Martinez, and Clayton, just more of it: household goods, school/office supplies, frozen foods, pet/auto, and health food (chocolate, potato chips, Cokes, and COOKIES!). Because it has more room to fill, the aisles are wider, so if you feel cramped in the other stores, you'll be more at ease here. And the building does not share space with other businesses, so lots of parking. I love 99c Only, but it just got some major competition. No problem, I'll go to both of `em! read more

Dollar Tree opens where Gator Bob Sales and Petco used to be. there's lots of parking here. no need to fight the crowds at 99 cents only. the store is huge, has the usual departments, even frozen. one drawback is the aisles are pretty narrow. almost bump into 2 ladies (separate incidents) when i turned away. Great Dollar Tree although I usually have to hang outside with the dogs because boyfriend and I usually walk them here. They may have a small footprint compared to other Dollar Trees I've been in but they make it work. I would come to this location on a weekly basis. However, after my last encounter, I won't be going back. The supervisor made a comment to my not even 2 year old daughter that she was making too much noise while playing with a dog toy. My daughter wasn't touching anything, following behind me and her brother and was well behaved. The supervisor came up and asked if we were buying it and I told her we were thinking about buying the dog toy. She then told me that the ENTIRE store could hear her playing with the toy. I'm sorry, what? Is the ENTIRE store complaining about it? Is any ONE person? No! It wasn't even that loud! This is not the first interaction that I've had with this supervisor that ended up being a negative experience. She is always in a bad mood and always negative. Cleanest Dollar store in the east bay. They are usually ran through and with stuff littering the isles. This place was clean. Staff always nice. I even found some push pins (tacks) recently there. This dollar tree is complete TRASH! I came in today to buy some small treats for my sons first birthday party. Many of their drink items had some out of the pack that were empty, but the package was still sealed, and many candy items were open. There was a full row of empty candy bags hung up! I bought a few items after thoroughly checking them. For some reason my mind was going crazy about what I had seen in the store. I decided to return the items for ensure the safety of my party guest. I came back 5 minutes after I payed and told the cashier my concerns, she said I needed to speak with the manager sarah. I waited about 5 minutes for the manager to come out, and she told me she could only do an exchange or she would have to call the DM. She returned 30 seconds later and said she couldnt get ahold of him. She then screamed at me and said shes not returning anything. I am disgusted by the service I received today, she didnt even try to come to an agreement, she was rude from the moment she walked out of the office. Been there twice in a week and the line was out the door, the manager named Jennifer doesn't know what CUSTOMER SERVICE means and doesn't help her fellow cashiers when there's a huge line, she's more worried about stocking and unpacking the boxes instead of not helping the customers that are in line. on top of that she's RUDE, the other cashiers are super nice and patient! Received horrible customer service from manager of the store named Sarah. I asked for a few more bags because the cashier overloaded my bag to the point where when I tried to pick them up things just started popping out. The employee who called her self the manager named Sarah started getting very angry and telling me that I should have been more specific as to how the cashier should pack my bag, I said that I just want to be able to carry the bags to the car and I don't think that requires further explanations. She started saying/screaming that I should have been more specific. I asked for her name which she gave me and then followed up by saying that no one is going to care about anything I say anyway. What's a pleasant and wonderful woman they pick to lead one of their stores. No wonder 99 cent store right across the street always has three times the customers. Not usually a fan of Dollar Tree stores (prefer the 99 Cent Only) but this one is fantastic. The quality of some of the items are great. You don't see glass storage containers with a snap in lid. Not plastic, glass. Dishes, kitchen ware ect. Tons of stuff. I got two bags full for less then 15 bucks. This store is huge. Pet supplies, cheap. I like this Doller Tree, they have friendly staff and the store is always neat and clean. I usually visit this location for quick snacks or toiletries when I'm ok my way to a weekend away or such. They usually always have what i want here. Only downside is they need keep their frozen foods section better stocked. Other than that a nice place to shop. read more

This place is a joke! There are always long lines, the cashiers are slow or should I say cashier as there is only ever one open. If you want to be treated like a thief while standing 2 feet in front of the checker then this is the place for you! Wanted to pick up some glow stuff for the 4th for my daughter and was told I'd have to leave my bag behind the counter. When I told her I was just picking out glow stuff right in front of her register and then leaving, she said she didn't care. If have to check in my bag. This new Dollar Tree in Concord is clean, big, and not haunted by the large annoying crowds that the 99 cents only store at the Park n Shop has. I've gone here several times since they opened and I've never had to wait long in line to pay like I do at the 99 cents store at Park n Shop. This store is also very clean and organized compared to the "other"store in the area. The only disadvantage is that Dollar Tree doesn't sell much food, produce, and other refrigerated products. I still think I'll be coming to this store more than other discount stores in the area. read more

Great location and a big store... BUT - service is terrible. I honestly feel bad for the employees running the cashier registers. I have been in here on several occasions on my lunch break. Theres constantly been only ONE cashier working with a line of 6+ people just waiting. Plenty of times Ive seen the manager standing just chatting away with someone and brought it to his attention, but brushed it off like it was no big deal. Even when the cashier got on the intercom 3+ times saying he/she needs a back up register to open... Manager's excuse was "Oh I didn't hear it, sorry" Lead by example my friend... you are a manager.
