I wanted to share the great customer experience I had at this location with a young man named Levi (possibly spelled with two e's). I was looking for specific craft boxes and asked him for help. Instead of simply saying, "No, we don't have them," like others have in the past, he went above and beyond. He checked the back for me, and when they weren't there, he even scanned the barcode to see when they might be restocked. This Riverside location was a little on the empty side when we visited, but we were still able to find pretty much everything we were looking for. The only downside was checkout. I walked from Olive garden to Dollar Tree, because my daughter needed a note book. I got there at 8:50pm 10 minutes before they close the store . Their sign clearly saids 9pm . The lady in the front Dinna was standing in the front door locking it as soon as they people were walking out of the store. Once I told her it wasn't 9pm yet she just shrug her shoulders like saying "oh well". I think management should adress this . i am a shopper who enjoys shopping at this tyler dollar tree for my walking convenience. i am an senior and it should not matter. but the customer service that i received on 08/16/24 @ 15:00 was mind shocking. i had two toothpaste (optic) and the cashier stated that it was not $1.25ea. but $5.00ea. i stated ok charge me for two $1.25ea. and i'll go get them, the store manager malinda hears me and says go get them first. i leave the register and my other items and notice that all the optic toothpaste are together and all priced $1.25ea. i go back to tell the cashier and she tells the store manager. the store manager goes down the aisle that the toothpaste is on stating its in the wrong spot and tossing the toothpaste onto the floor from the shelf. she was walking back and forth angry trying to figure out where the toothpaste went. so, her only cashier now has a line and shes asking her manager if shes giving me the toothpaste for $1.25ea. the manager walks to the register and says no. i always thought that if its mismarked or misplaced as in this case the customer is right. due to the person stocking read more

Enjoyed coming here before but there's a black male in a muscle shirt who offers to wash your car windows but it's gotten to far now. I've kindly said no thank you on the wash and it was fine another day it was no thank you and now he follows me to the door and asks for money. Then I go another day and he asks for cash I say no cash and he asks for food (just to throw it out there he has a broom/cleaning supplies by him and bags of chips soda etc.) he specifically asked for what he wanted me to buy & waited for me so I left the store pretending to be on the phone another time same thing but I waited inside the store and when someone left I left to blend in. First the manager realized after work right next to Veronica that they were too close. So the manager moved to lane #1 after ringing up customers that close for a while. The cashier Veronica was pleasant. However, on my way out I asked the manager doses she know when they will get sanitizer in. She said, when the truck brings it. I prefer Dollar Tree over 99 cents Only hands down! Although, I do prefer the Corona store to the one on Tyler in Riverside. I feel the Tyler store is not laid out very effectively and it always looks a little cluttered and messy. Still, it's super convenient when you are out running errands in the Mall area; I went there several times around Christmas and was satisfied with my experience each time. I feel their selection is not as good at the Corona store, however it may just be that this one gets a higher volume of customer per day. Which is a good sign. read more

Came in to make a purchase and the line filled up quickly which is usually not a problem but this particular line was extremely long with only one cashier available. I got out of line and asked the cashier nicely if there was another person available but she said no because they went on break. I worked for dollar tree before and there should have been a manager on duty to cover that employee on break, however, there was no one else in the store but the cashier that was ringing up everyone. Cindy was VERY rude. It is March 17 6:50. As soon as I walked in I hear her tell her coworker "ugh now we're never going to get out of here!" As I'm paying she has this attitude and after I told her she was very rude & I'll be speaking to someone about this, she responded with "Go ahead I usually never have problems with anyone anyways!" Workers here are not very friendly or nice. I guess it depends on what the weather is because my first visit was a completely different experience. Unfortunately today was a huge disappointment. I was shopping with my young daughter when I needed to use the restroom so I asked a worker where they were located. She told me at the back of the store. So I go back there and both are locked but I know someone's inside so I wait. A worker comes out a few mins later and says there are no public bathrooms and just kept walking. Just left the Dollar Tree where I was able to witness an elderly woman trying to pay for her items with a $100 bill and the manager Melinda being less than kind to her. Melinda fussed to the cashier about the bill being "old" and that she's probably "not going to take it" all in front of the customer and those of us waiting in line. The lady seemed embarrassed explaining that she walked there and was being picked up by her daughter. Then fumbling to call her daughter to tell her to come pay for it. All of this for Melinda to come back from the office, where she took the money so she could better "check it", and give the lady a side eye look telling the cashier "okay". I'm sure there was a more professional way to handle the situation if their was really a suspicion of it being counterfeit but this was just low. I have been looking for two particular balloons for 4 weeks at a different dollar tree. Each Wednesday I would drive to the store to ALWAYS find the balloons sold out ! I lost hope since my event was days away. I decided to come to this particular store to look for the balloons only to also find them sold Out !!!! A worker by the name cindy was incredibly nice and kind to OFFER to call EVERY dollar tree in the city to see if any of them carried the balloons, luckily she was able to find that one store did in fact have them! I miss this Dollar Tree. They have a small frozen food section in the back. The lines can be pretty long, but they have a lot of items and the aisles are organized. Plus, they have mylar balloons with helium for $1. I love the arts and crafts section, and their cleaning supplies. I agree that it isn't the easiest parking lot to maneuver, but you can use the Target entrance/exit if you want to make a left in or out of the parking lot. read more

Melinda or Milinea whatever her name is (she needs a new name tag because it is barely readable), was very rude. I came in toward closing time at about 8:45 and I had a bag with some things I wanted to exchange. She seems very irritated off the bat wnd you can tell in her body language and tone and says "You know you have to have the same amount of items you're exchanging for today and it all has to be done before we close in 10 minutes" I reply, "Yes." I try to explain to her that I have multiple receipts and each receipt I have is in its corresponding bag with the said items but she just cuts me off and says, "I have to count them anyway." I say, "Ok. Was just trying to make it easier on you." She then proceeds to tell me that I can exchange for anything in the store except food items because they are not taxable items? Which I've never heard of before. At the end of it all I was walking away because she wasn't saying anything so I figured I was done. She yells out for me to come back and sign something. She was rude. I understand it's the end of the night and you want to go home but she should not treat customers this way. I felt I was discriminated against because I am Mexican and Gay.
