Jen and I are big fans of Dollar Tree and have been to about 10 of their stores. We have found this location to be the best. It has always been clean, organized and we typically find items here that we can't find elsewhere. Jen's latest find was a great selection of essential oils for $1.25 each and a great selection of picture frames that now display our photos in my house. We like to come here every other month or so just to check out new items or to restock some old favorites. Great location, great selection and nice service. read more

I was very disappointed by the customer service at this Dollar Tree and somewhat overall cleanliness and organization. Craft aisle had a rubbed out cigarette butt on the shelf. The employee working that day was a short, heavier-set woman with blonde hair and very deep facial wrinkles peeking out of her facemask. Despite her seemingly "polite" tone, she was rather dismissive to me upon entering and unhelpful when their pin pad was freezing up during my transaction. I felt unwelcome, and the lack of genuine customer respect was a huge letdown. Discount store with a discount attitude, too. read more

This is typically one of my favorite Dollar Trees when I am looking for specific items. I put together a lot of random act of kindness that I like to leave out in the world and the store provides a lot of options for a good price for me to be able to continue to do that. With that said it is a bummer that their prices are going up consistently and quickly. While some things are still $1.25 they are also now $1.75 and $3 $5 $6 $7 etc. I have also noticed things that were say five dollars last year are now six dollars or seven dollars this year. I do also like to shop here sometimes for food items when I am making baskets for people because you can get some regular items like cake mix, and frosting that are regular brands. The staff in this store is pretty hit or miss. Yesterday an employee was annoyed that I was shopping the candy aisle while she was moving boxes around. Which if your store is open, I would think you would not be annoyed by people shopping, but that's just me. It has happened More than once here. But then they also do have some very nice employees as well. Don't forget to bring your own bags because now they charge you for the paper bags and they don't have handles and they often rip before you even get to your car. You can really find good items here if you shop often and you are patient and look. Still one of my favorite stores and grateful for the low prices on many items. read more

Ever wonder why all the Dollar Tree locations have 3 stars or below? Well, I've walked in FOR THE LAST TIME. I visited this location last night because the others are so disgustingly dirty with their filthy bathrooms and broken refrigerators. Even the one on Alicia Parkway has been closed down by the City for unsafe conditions. But I went in to this one for THREE items. Only three. A man walked up and told me the store was closing. I cheerfully said, "No worries, this is my last item and I'm good-to-go!" He said no, they had already closed their check out stations. I asked him why in the world are you letting customers in, then? Why aren't the front doors locked? Every sane retailer announces when the store is closing, but they check out everyone IN the store! As I tried to leave, but couldn't because the front doors had locked me in, I couldn't resist asking the manager the very same question, "Why are you letting customers in, if you have no intention of checking them out? This is REALLY BAD customer service." He only said they made an announcement the store was closing. But my point was ... why are you letting people IN??? Dollar Tree has an amazing opportunity with all the 99 cent stores closing. But if they don't get their act together, they will soon follow. I'd rather run into Albertson's or any other grocery store where customer service still exists. Why remain loyal to any store who doesn't care about customer service? Dollar Tree: if you don't care enough about your customers to get consistent 5-star ratings, you don't need to be in business. I went here to buy a balloon and some random bald woman kicked me and my friend out because we were apparently messing with the balloon even though I had full intention of buying the balloon for my sisters birthday but instead she asked what I was doing with this balloon and then ripped it out of my hands and started to shout at us to get out and why was she doing this I don't know but completely made the most biased decision ever and when we asked she kept saying to get out or she was calling the police and I have gone here for so long and I have never seen her a day in my life and she wasn't even an employee so I don't know why one would do such things when they don't know what's happening and the service is garbage since they barely change any of the items that are expired and when stuff gets low stock they don't even restock it and when we asked if they have any stock they don't even bother to check the stock of the said product and says they are out of stock and I don't know why she decides to harass 2 minors trying to get snacks for a cheap discount and a balloon for a cheap little amount of money and I don't think I would want to have some random lady kicking you out for no reason whatsoever and I will be back to talk to dollar tree staff about the situation read more

I have always had a decent experience here but today I went in with my mom that uses a walker and she can't walk far - we went in to buy birthday cards and we went to check out at the check out and had our things about 6 items on the counter behind the one checking out when the lady that always works there came into the lane and FLIPPED his light off and didn't say anything . Ok we waited while he continued checking out the person in front of us and all of a sudden AFTER he was DONE checking the person out he says - oh you go to her lane now I'm off . WHAT ? I said now you tell us ! I have all our things here only 6 and you can't help us ? Normally you help the people which was only US then you go do your battery thing you had to go do for 2 mins . But no , so I had to make my disabled mom move and me pick up all my things and go stand at the END OF THE LINE NOW - I said THIS IS MESSED UP - nobody said anything/ no I'm sorry or I can take you first since you were next - nothing - so when I got up to pay she the lady that works there didn't say I'm sorry he had to go work the battery's for 2 mins as after I moved my things to her counter SHE HAD HIM OPEN BACK UP - yes I was not happy and she didn't say anything- not thank you nothing - would I go back to that store ? HECK NO / i only patronize stores that treat their customers right and this was NOT OK . Remember my face . I won't be back . Especially when you have an ADA person with you - one should be not be treated that way . PS - we did have a great rest of our day ! read more

Employees lack good/decent customer service. The cashier won't say hello or thank you. Stockers are answering their phones, the cashier's check their phones for texts. Eye rolls, when you ask for balloons to be inflated. Where is management or the owner, regarding these complaints. read more

If you see a plus size female cashier, drop whatever you grabbed, and drive to the other location in Mission Viejo. This employee looked like she was miserable ringing up people. No hello how are you doing today, slamming receipts on the register, and no you're welcome when customers say thank you. The customer in front of me an I made eye contact and we both knew what each other was thinking about this cashier. I was in retail for 16 years up until last year and I don't ever recall working with an employee of this caliber. Take your ear buds out of your ears and do something that doesn't involve interacting with customers. read more

Assistant manager is super rude and unhelpful makes her problems yours. Then gets frustrated when you ask for services they offer

Wow! I got up yto tregister & the clerk took something from my hands & told me not to help her with my bags? Never an apology.!! Then I was so upset that she was rude when I told her to have a "good day," ?!? She completely igbored me and was very rude to me and embarrassed me in front of everyone!! So as I was leaving I couldnt get the Poll out of the shopping cart so I could bring the bags to my car, so the manager finally appears out of now ewhere and also has a bad attitude and told me that the carts cant go outsifde? I asked her name, and I never got an apology for any wrong doing or unprofessional behavior?!? Why is this bad manager still allowed to work there?!? Her name is Lisa, and shes the worst, awful, most unprofessional employee who is representing this store and giving it a bad name for our community!!! She should be fired!! Ewwww. Wow, extremely rude employees today. Everyone was acting so put out to assist customers. The girl at the register was very rude and upset she had to inflate some balloons for my husband. This is the third time I have observed this girl being rude to customers. Maybe not come into work if you dislike working in customer service. read more

I was checking out today and the cashier was very unfriendly and very short. I understand that these times are very stressful and uncertain right now but being kind and nice goes a long way. When I asked very nicely about my receipt she said very rudely, "Well you should have said yes when the prompt asked you." I started to explain I didn't see a prompt and she immediately cut me off and said, "Do you even really need it?" Which made me feel bad about asking and yes I did need it. But I left the store without it because she seemed like she didn't care and just wanted me to leave. I don't understand why she felt the need to be rude when I simply asked a question. I have been to this store a lot and never been treated like this. It's usually very nice, kind, helpful cashiers. I was very disappointed today. I was in on 9/12/20 to buy a 12 drinking glasses since we are hosting Thanksgiving in our backyard this year .The cashier named LIndsey decided to shove the breakable glassware on top of each other in a plastic bag . I kindly asked if she can please wrap them so they don't break. Her response was " we don't wrap breakable items, Ma'am this what you get for shopping at the Dollar Tree" . I have been at Dollar Tree stores in other locations and I know this is not the case. I asked for a manager and She proceeded to say that she is the manager . I said that managers don't really treat customers that way and finally got hold of the actual store manager. Yes I could afford to buy water glasses somewhere else but I chose not to . I support local businesses because people need jobs during this pandemic . This Dollar Tree is in an affluent neighborhood outside several gated communities.
