What kind of customer service is this? They only seem to treat certain people nicely. The attitude was firm and unfriendly overall. This location seriously needs improvement in both service and basic customer care skills. It even felt like there might be racial bias--being cold toward Asians while being much nicer to others. That's unacceptable. No one wore name tags, so I had to ask for the employee's name. She said her name was Anna, but there are two Annas--one at the register and one who seems to be the manager. I just love Dollar Tree. They offer so much great crafting items. I love crafting so much and I can get so many things from here for cheap. I came in tonight to get some crafting items and doggy pads. Every time I come they have more and more crafting items available which is great since crafting can get so expensive. Gloria was out cashier and she was so friendly and very fast scanning and bagging our items while being careful with everything. read more

I came in around 10 a.m. on a Sunday, just looking at balloons when we were abruptly and rudely yelled at by the cashier--specifically the woman with "Oscar" tattooed on her neck. We hadn't asked anything yet, and she loudly snapped at my husband, saying: "That's all we have! Only what's blown up--we don't have numbers!" Her tone was aggressive and unnecessarily hostile, which made us and the people in line very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this confirmed my hesitation about coming to this Dollar Tree location. I've had much better experiences at the one in Washington, but I decided to give this one a chance--and regretted it. I understand if they're short-staffed or overwhelmed, but that's no excuse for being openly rude to customers. To top it off, when we checked out, the same employee gave a sarcastic, forced "thank you, have a nice day." This kind of treatment is unacceptable. Super Rude and bossy cashier with tattoos all over her neck. The store itself was not stocked well at all. The cashier didn't bother to even load my items into a bag while I was paying, however she was super nice to the lady behind me who was her own race. I work nights and this was the only place I could go to buy balloons and decorations late night for my kids 18th bday. Their employee Ed was the absolute kindest. He was the only one working a register and had a massive line of customers. I needed 16 balloons. He promised once he cleared the line he would help me and he did. He was so patient and helpful and didn't make me feel bad for coming in so late. He blew up a ton of balloons for me with a smile on his face the whole time. He knew how important this was for me and even though they were at closing he still provided excellent service. Thank you, Ed! I was so stressed out and you made it go so smoothly! read more

Mouthy Cashier, sucks in Customer Service. When talking to one cashier who was a male, I ask him if they were low on staff. The female cashier decided to put her dollars worth in. Nobody was talking to her I was not getting smart mouth, I asked the question to the young man if they were understaffed. The heavyset lady decided to start talking back to me instead of minding her customers. 4 cash registers stalls and only 2 cashiers taking their sweet a** time! The lines where half way down the isle. Just because you get paid minimum wage does not mean you can suck as a customer service and talk back to the customer. Love your job or leave it! read more

Face It! It's just fun to waste your money here. Why are we drawn to this place. You Enter with thoughts of just picking up a few items. Somehow you find yourself roaming up & down the isles looking at Inessential items that will crowd your cupboards & shelves. Then you ask yourself "Did I really need to buy this?" I was just in there literally right now and they had ONE cashier working the register on a Saturday morning and the poor guy seemed new. The line was wrapped down an aisle!!! Whoever that manager is working this morning...she needs to NOT be a manager. She was NOWHERE to be found and there were A LOT of people in line and more people walking in. This is the first time I've ever left my stuff and walked out! At this point the manager, if you hate your job so damn much, then just quit!! read more

Young lady working the register was unpleasant. I was in her line but she didn't see me. Once she did see me, she said she was closed. I told her I was already in her line before her light went off, she said ok but I had a bunch of stuff and left the line out of respect for her to leave her shift. After I left she then took about 5-6 more people. I told her I thought she was closed , and she then proceeded to give me her no good attitude saying I told you I would take you. If you're closed, then close after I leave. Duh. Glad I switched cashiers. The other one was way nicer. She needs a good lesson in customer service because karma is real. Gone to this Dollar Tree a couple of times. Its a little out of my way but they have more variety here than other Dollar Tree stores I have been to. Especially when buying supplies for work. So, what can I say? I'm a little bourgeois and I don't mind splurging an extra penny when I go to Dollar Tree as opposed to the 99¢ Store. This DT has an excellent array of greeting cards, gift bags, teacher supplies, and kitchen "stuff." I primarily come here for gift bags and tissue paper. They have most sizes and a variety of tissue paper colors to match your bag. And for 50¢ for a greeting card, you can't go wrong. If you like to decorate, DT has a bunch of decorations for each holiday. I warn you, think ahead of time because they put stuff out early and it goes fast. As always, they are always playing the jams in DT that make you want to dance up and down the aisles. This DT is located in the Quad at Whittier next to the Old Navy. A little helpful hint is to park in the covered garage. Always tons of parking there. ;) read more

Dollar, dollar, dollar...I have two crafty kids that go through coloring books, paper and stuff fast. Dollar Tree allows my kids to run rampant with their creative freedom while not busting my bank. Yay! Place is aways clean and staff is super friendly. And where else can you also get a wide assortment of Bday cards and balloons for a dollar? I don't know about the other merchandise, but for what I buy there, its a five star location. read more

I'm not going to lie, I find myself here more often than I care to admit. Sure, to some people this is slumming, it but I have found myself some good deals here. A lot of the things sold here can also be found in the dollar spot at Target. What's amazing is people prefer to go to Target and buy the stuff but there is more stock here. I like cotton candy so I always buy the cotton candy in a bag which I've never had issues with. Of course, check the dates, but I do that whenever I buy food doesn't matter where. Also, I've found some good deals when it comes to makeup surprisingly. Don't knock the LA Looks makeup, it's hit or miss but I've found some pretty good products in that line. They sometimes sell the same brands as drugstores. They've either changed the packaging or it got discontinued. I always walk away from this store with a bag in hand. Please note that yesterday I was informed that they were going to start charging extra if you get your items put in one of their plastic bags. Bring a reusable bag if you're planning to shop a lot or bring a big purse to put everything in it. read more

Terrible customer service. Corporate should check out the store. Noticed some of the older reviews things have not changed through the years. They only have one register open at a time! There were over 8 customers in line, with baskets full of products. When the girl called for backup it took another 5 minutes, as the line kept growing, for someone to come help. I will be driving further to the Whittier Blv. store. The staff is a lot friendlier and you can get in and out quickly. read more

Love Dollar Tree. Having visited this store for over 3 years I can say that my experience has been positive up until today. Upon entering the store I detected the smell of urine which was odd as well as disturbing. As I continued shopping, the stench got stronger, I realized the source was an (apparently) homeless man who was slowly wandering each aisle. Although I did my best to shop quickly, avoid him, it was prety bad and made me sick. Other customers also were aware. I mentioned this to the cashier although I suppose nothing can be done. Again, i'll return to this DT as it's very convenient, generally clean and nice clerks but this was a complete bummer, was gagging for fresh air by the time I checked out. Gross.
