    Overflowing iced latte!

Eek! Not sure about this location for Dollop Coffee... I came in while I was on my walk looking for an iced latte. The location itself is ideal off Michigan Ave and is super pretty and spacious when you walk in. I love the white and the counter is very aesthetically pleasing. I ordered one of their iced special lattes and just asked for a little bit less syrup so that things are not sugary. Unfortunately, what I ended up getting was quickly prepared (which I appreciated), but super watered down. It sort of tasted like I was drinking water with clumps of cinnamon in it. If you decide to try, I would definitely specify what exactly you want so that they can do their best to replicate it according to your preferences. I don't think much thought was put into making my drink - the only saving grace was that staff was super friendly! I think it's important to leave an honest review because this is a prime location for busy mornings and could become super popular if they rethink preparation a bit :)

Pretty cool that this location is steps away from my bank. So why not drop in for a sip and a bite. I ordered the chai tea and it had the perfect amount of heat and spice. My lavender donut well, it was nice and light. Not at all overpowering. The blueish color on the inside was a nice surprise. Can't wait to go back and try the cinnamon honey latte.

Nice stop before going to Chicago Cultural Center. Open, airy casual service for a spot of tea or a coffee with a nosh.

Coffee was over priced and took 2 sips and tossed it. I was in a rush or I would've returned it!

When visiting Chicago last week I was looking for coffee spots within walking distance of Grant Park and I found fairgrounds. I'm so glad I chose to stop in! The indoor seating area is small with one larger table, a single seat & table, and some bar like seats. I was able to snag the single seat with a small round table to myself. It was so cute inside and while I wish there was more indoor seating there was a lots of space to sit outside which I also enjoyed after finishing my food. I got the tahini caramel latte, the staff was very kind in helping me decide on a drink, I made a substitution to have it made with almond milk and it was delicious! So rich in flavor and a great coffee taste without being too sweet. Also you have to get the breakfast burrito with an extra side of salsa. I've never had a breakfast burrito and salsa like the one I ate at Fairgrounds and I'm still dreaming of it! The burrito was piping hot, had so many different bright flavors and the salsa on the side was very bright and fresh. Absolute 10/10

The menu is also pretty extensive, with everything from ramen and udon to small bites, soufflé pancakes, teas, and smoothies. I stopped in mid-morning during the week, and there were already quite a few people in the café. I decided to try the Strawberry Pancakes with the Strawberry Passion Fruit Lemonade. The pancakes are made to order, so expect about a 10-15 minute wait, depending on how busy they are. My tea arrived pretty quickly and had a really nice balance of strawberry and passion fruit. I could taste both flavors without one overpowering the other, which I appreciated. I've had soufflé pancakes before, so I knew what to expect. These were nice and airy and definitely passed the jiggle test. The strawberry topping was delicious and reminded me of a flavored whipped cream. It paired really well with the pancakes without being too heavy. Overall, I had a great experience at Hanabusa Cafe.
