There is metered street parking or we walked uo as we were staying at a hot close by. You can order via a kiosk or in person with the cashier. The vibe is chill and relaxing. The space is open with lots of natural light. I really enjoyed my latte, it was a tab on the high prices side.

First time visitor and we really enjoyed it. The avocado toast on sourdough bread was fantastic. I tried the Morrocan Latte which I had never tried before. It is flavored with Cimmaron and Nutmeg. It had an interesting flavor and I enjoyed it. Service was fast and friendly. It's a small little Cafe with seating indoors and outdoors.

My family brought back some takeout from Warka for us to try. We had: Blueberry Muffin - I'm not usually a muffin guy, but this was a very moist and flavorful muffin. My daughter, who is usually sloth-like when eating, devoured most of this. Coffees - tried a Latte and a Matcha. Problem was many stores automatically sweeten these (often times oversweetening). We didn't know these didn't have any sugar. These both tasted pretty good for an unsweetened drink. Almond croissant - filling was pretty tasty and there was a good amount of it. Slightly below average on pastry lamination and flakiness. Some pastries you can eat as is - this one needs a go in the toaster oven.

Get it, get it, GET IT! I remember when they first opened, the menu was small but they have expanded their selections. The café is really cute and small, but it can become overcrowded during their busy hours. When it's not busy, it makes a great place to sit with soothing music. Overall the food is great and the staff are really sweet.

Their smoked caramel latte is insane. The notes of coffee are more deep and rich, and the owner said their coffee has lower caffeine! Im super impressed by her knowledge and craft with this business. Go invest in their smoked caramel lattes, they have outdone themselves. Inside of the place is also interesting.

Family and I were in a hotel across from Warka and popped in for coffee and breakfast treats before heading out of town on a beautiful spring Sunday morning. The service was fast and friendly, and worked their way through the line quickly and efficiently. The coffee was delicious, and my wife loved her latte as well. Breakfast sandwich was yummy and spicy, almond croissant was very nice. Great find!

Warka Coffee is not in the "heart of Capitol Hill," but it does offer up close views of the U.S. Capitol. Opened in August 2025, I popped into Warka Coffee since I love a new coffee shop. Here's my experience. 1) Coffee: I ordered a large latte and it was good. It's darker than I usually enjoy, but it was still tasty. I'd order it again. 2) Food: They have breakfast and lunch items and a full glass box of pastries from Fresh Baguette. The pumpkin croissant was unique and good. 3) Service: The staff are kind and passionate about what they built. 4) Space: It's a cozy place with lots of seating. They keep it clean and organized. 5) Area: Since it's not in a highly residential neighborhood, most of the nearby street parking is paid.

Very yummy baked goods, I ordered an iced oat latte. The croissant had plenty of layers and the bread was both chewy and soft. One of my favorites for sure. The location is tucked in a nice part of town and the staff was very nice. The place has ample seating and I will be going back.

Awesome coffee spot and great for working! It's a corner spot with so much natural light. Coffee was great as was food. The seating seemed a bit less than you'd think approaching the shop.

Lovely, quiet coffee shop. Quiet, jazzy vibe, comfortable seating, friendly staff. There are some baked goods, soft drinks etc. no cold brew yet, but the iced Americano was delicious. It was surprisingly slow, perhaps this is a new place since I'm not familiar with it. They have a good selection of teas and the smoked maple caramel latte sounds really good to me.

While visiting DC, this newly opened coffee shop was right across the street from my hotel. Cute little shop but it was definitely a work in progress. The menu on the website is NOT what they offer in the shop, I had to call my friend to change her order since what she wanted was not available. Got back in line placed, my order. I had to repeat my order four times. It was o my two drinks and a scone, zero alterations. I paid and waited.. all other customers orders were filled and I still waited. When they realized I still hadn't received my order I had to tell them again what I ordered twice because they tried to give me the wrong order. I understand a newly opened shop has some room to grow but these were all grown ups and not even teenagers. I hope they get themselves together.

Popped by this cute Ethiopian cafe that just opened up in the neighborhood. The staff was friendly and eager to explain their coffees and the seating area was cozy. The coffee was more of a darker roast, and it was very flavorful and fragrant.

    Pour over coffee

Okay, I can't resist a pour over. If you have the time, get one from Warka. Anaerobic was fantastic! Paired it with an awesome pumpkin croissant. I was very pleasantly surprised. If I didn't have self restraint, I would have bought one more pumpkin croissant! Staff are friendly, food is good, and coffee is delicious. If I am back in DC, I will come here again for sure.

The Tikka dish with fried egg was tasty, but wish paneer or larger protein option was built-in (not an upcharge)! The creamy red Tikka curry sauce, caramelized onions, crispy brussel sprouts, and fried ere tasty and paired well, the dish felt incomplete and something was missing, maybe some paneer or naan? I paid $5 for a side of zesty naan topped with different spices and really wish it came with the dish just came with it. While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. Wish there were more fun vegetarian dishes on the menu. Might come back for drinks and to explore the menu!

If I'm honest, they had me at French techniques and middle eastern flavors but it helped that a friend's friend recommended Yellow, and the Union area in general. To be honest, I almost skipped it entirely after seeing the line, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Although I couldn't make out the menu until my time to order I was proud of what I ended up with- the halawa honey, a smooth balanced coffee for the coffee lover seeking a sweet treat, and the smoked amba chicken pita. I now feel inclined to go back and try everything on the menu. From this brief introduction alone, I feel Confident that anyone who bear the line will be rewarded.

Since it was later in the day, they were out of some of their baked goods items. So we grabbed the bbq lamb shoulder wood-fired pita sandwich and shatta batata tots to share. The sandwich was big in size, so you can easily share it. My daughter and I shared it and we both liked how filling it was and the ingredients were fresh. The lamb was super tender and the combination of flavors were amazing. The tots were also seasoned well. It also came with a tasty creamy dipping sauce. I did wished they were cut in layers like a hasselback potato like I saw on the show. I thing texturally it would have been more interesting than the current tots which had chunky pieces of potato in squares. For the drinks my sister got the coconut cardamom and I got the peanut dalgona. The peanut dalgona drink is the drink to get. I loved the flavor profile and the creamy topping. The place was busy. At the end of the day reservations aren't required. It's sit where ever available. Overall we had a great time. We would come back again.

The cheese puffs and artichokes were mediocre, and the macarons were fine but nothing memorable. The tarte flambée was slightly below average. It tasted mostly like cheese and fat, with none of the depth or balance I expected. The biggest disappointment was the steak au poivre. We ordered it medium rare, which our server specifically said was also the chef's recommendation, but it arrived somewhere between medium and medium well. More surprisingly, it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten. At $49, that is unacceptable. The mashed potatoes were equally disappointing: bland, not buttery, and nothing like the rich French pommes purée I expected. We also ordered the carrots, but they never arrived. At least we were not charged for them. The crème brûlée was good, but a good crème brûlée could not redeem the meal. The service was attentive and polished. The restaurant was also nearly empty at 5 p.m. on a Friday, with only one other table occupied inside and a few people outside, which in hindsight may have been a warning sign. Beautiful room, decent service, deeply disappointing food. I would not return.
