I have been going to western Michigan to wine taste since before they charged for tastings--that's a LOOOONG TIME! DOMAIINE BERRIEN CELLARS is among the best and I'm glad I spent my birthday there this year. I don't like all the post-COVID changes, but all the wineries have made many so it is what it is. I urge you to visit! A special thank you to Cathy for her time, attention and great recommendations!

Stopped by Domaine Berrien Cellars on a Sunday afternoon as a group of six. It was $15 per person for (5) tastings and one got to keep their stemmed tasting glass as a souvenir. They also had a second option of $35 per person for (6) tastings and (1) additional barrel tasting. Some of our favorite wines were the Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier. Our server was very knowledgeable about wine/winery details, the harvesting process, and the nearby area to give other local suggestions. We especially loved hearing about the varietals only they offer in the area (Marsanne and Oaked Marsanne). The inside tasting counter wasn't the largest but the back patio was covered and overlooked some vines and a pond. I highly recommend stopping by Domaine to try their wines!

Great outdoor patio to bring your pup! The wine is fantastic! Decent prices (could be a little lower) but overall the best in the area. Definitely a place to stop on your wine tour!

    Delicious!!!!

One of our favorite wineries. They were so nice and welcoming. Explaining the make of the wine and what to pair it with. It is definitely worth it and a nice stop on the trail!

Scenic entry to this winery with vineyards flanking driveway. This was the smallest vineyard we visited but our favorite of the day. We appreciate the ability to choose which wines you want to sample. Top notch service. Levi was very helpful explaining their wines. The also provide a glass you can take with you. We purchased a bottle and ate the lunch we brought outside. They have picnic tables overlooking a scenic pond. Recommend you stop here.

Had a flight of five red's. Enjoy the Pino Noir the best. They also have some really cute sayings on napkins, coasters, and signs for the wine enthusiast!

This visit was more for the wine drinkers in our group Fun little business in a big field of grapes!! Breena was very friendly and informative. More people started to trickle in as we were leaving. It's far away from anything, but this was a neat little spot to check out!

This was our favorite winery experience of the 6 visited on our winter wine tour. Tyler was a great teacher to us, explaining the wines, the grapes, regions and pairing recommendations. All wines - many featuring grapes from France - were amazing and we purchased several bottles after our tasting. We will return!

Everyone at the register was welcoming, and our host, Ms. Becky, was exceptional. She was attentive, informative, and made sure our group had an enjoyable experience throughout our tasting. We really appreciated how she took the time to explain each wine selection and tailor the experience to everyone's individual tastes. The only drawback during our visit was observing the male manager being somewhat short with Ms. Becky, which was unfortunate to see given how hard she was working to provide excellent service. Aside from that, the experience was fantastic. My entire party enjoyed themselves, and we all left with bottles to take home. We would absolutely return and hope Ms. Becky receives the recognition she deserves for making our visit so memorable.

We sat outside overlooking the vineyard. Molly was our server. She was friendly and engaging. Lunch was a walleye sandwich with chips for hubby and the fig & prosciutto flatbread for me. The walleye had a crispy crust coating the moist and tender fish. I took a bite of hub's sandwich and it was so good. My flatbread, though, was amazing. I'm all about a good crust and this one was perfection. So crispy, yet light with all air pockets in the crust. Of course, I love anything fig and this didn't disappoint. I ate 3 squares and took the rest with me. Of course being at the vineyard, we ordered a glass of wine. My husband had the albariño and I ordered the sauvignon blanc. I didn't care for the sauvignon blanc. When the manager came by, we raved about the food but I was honest about the wine. She gave me a taste of the chardonnay and she was right. It was good. I was happy she switched my wine. The negatives are the wasps are nuisances, and there were no traps to catch them. I was dodging them the entire meal. I guess it's hazard when dining al fresco. The other annoyance was the water glasses are small, and my water was never refilled and my glass sat empty even with Molly and the manager stopping by during the meal. Since the glass is small, they should leave a bottle of water at the table or make it a point to check and recheck the water glasses. This is a nice stop for lunch on the Michigan wine trail.

The food was delicious, and after eating we took a little hike with the boys around the property. They also had live music, which added so much to the vibe. We absolutely loved it!
