This food is disgusting. It tastes like cheap Chinese flabby chicken. The marinara has no pepper or salt in it. There is better flavor for $18. This time i am gonna give it a 4 star rating. I have complete confidence that the next time i go there my whole meal will be outstanding. We went there for mothers day and the only reservation my parents could get was like at the end of to day like 7 so the bread, salad and crab cakes were outstanding, my family and i got the Gorgonzola salad it is a must have. For our main meal we had the sausage, shrimp and penna pasta dish with a cream sauce i don't know the exact name but i think that since it was at the end of the day they were running out of sauce because our dish along with a few other people at the table who ordered the same thing it was kinda dry and lacking sauce. Over all the staff had had a long day so i understand and i am sure that next time i will be able to give a 5 star rating. also this restaurant is a very good romantic spot. one heck of a lot better than olive garden. read more

I like Italian food but it is so easy to prepare at home ( and so much cheaper) that I don't tend to eat it that much out. However Dominick's is a good spot for Italian in L'ville. The bread is excellent, covered in olive oil, sliced garlic, and lots of melted cheese (its a heart attack waiting to happen). However the bread is not free which stinks, especially b/c Provino's and Ippolito's give you free rolls. Oh well I still think the bread is way better than those others. The food at Dominicks is pretty good. I have had good meals and not so good meals here. They have a great ravioli dish that has a delicious cream sauce that goes with it. The chicken marsala is also pretty yummy. Some of the other dishes can be a bit bland. All in all a good meal on the super cute refashioned square in the Big L. read more

This place has pretty good Italian food. It is right on the square in Lawrenceville and easy to find. I highly recommend the stuffed pork chops. The portions are absolutely huge! Be careful. Any of their entrees at 'half order' can feed two people. read more

Christmas- 2016 The only reason in posting this review is that we can not get the management to respond to emails sent regarding out most recent visit. A Family Christmas Tradition is to visit local Italian Restaurants for our Christmas dinner. Although we have visited Dominick's in the past, this was the first time for a 'special occasion'. We requested a special table in the front dining room next to a table (reservations made 30 days ahead of time), they would not accommodate that. They seated us in the back room next to a large party with kids (that were obnoxious). It took forever to get a server to our table. Then when she took our order, she disappeared. Someone else brought the appetizers out but no utensils. I had to go to the kitchen station to get knives and forks! 30 minutes later, the food was delivered by someone out of the kitchen. One of the dishes was tasteless but since no one came back to check on us, we couldn't convey our displeasure. The original server finally came back to the table when it was time to present the check...even though she didn't deserve a TIP, with it being Christmas, we were generous in giving one. Needless to say, we would not recommend the location and never will be back! read more

My fiancée and I have visited this restaurant on a few occasions now and absolutely LOVE IT! The cuisine is by far the most delicious we've had, the portion sizes are huge (even for a glutton like me), the atmosphere is calm and peaceful nestled in a chaotic but historic part of town, and the price is good considering quality and quantity of food received. The only downside that comes to mind honestly are the white paper tablecloths. They sort of take away from that romantic Italian eatery feel. read more

I have eaten here and at the other 2 locations in Buford and Norcross several times. The service is always great, wine selection top notch, portions plenty... a half portion feeds 2 easily. The crab cake appetizer is 2 large patties chock full of meat. Hardly had room for entree. Have had the steak, which is seasoned well and needs no steak sauce. The veal saltimboca is excellent, as is the chicken marsala. The Caesar salad is tasty and has just enough dressing. Have seen large groups celebrating and diners of just 2 sitting intimately. My husband loves Dominick's lasagne and wanted to have dinner here for his birthday. A half order of lasagne is big, a whole order is huge! For only a few dollars more get a whole order and you have plenty to take home for lunch the next day. Not your typical heavy-as-lead lasagne, this is light with many layers of noodles cozied up to a nice Béchamel sauce (you can taste just that hint of nutmeg) and a tasty Bolognese sauce. Paired with a half Caesar salad (again, so large it's easily split between two people) and a creme brûlée for dessert and he was a happy man. Appetizers are a good start but we knew how much food we had coming so we were happy with the house bread and sauce served with it. On a busy night it can be loud and bustling but this is a family type restaurant so if you want quiet and romantic you might make another choice. But if you want a casual style place to spend an evening with friends and family and good food, this is a good spot. Our service was personable and quick, no complaints at all. read more

Truly a 3 star restaurant and I normally upgrade. My daughter and I went and she got fettucini alfredo and it was so bad to her that she couldn't eat it. I actually liked it. I got chicken saltimbocca it was way too salty the best part was garlic bread it was actually 4 stars but not as good as I remember. Will not return. During the last couple times there - we had terrible service. Now for a party of 8 my cousin wanted to try this place... I bit my tongue. They stock us with the new a waitress - first night. 5 plates were served while waiting almost 20 minutes for the other 3 and the manger not once came by to apologize. I cook better meatballs then what they served me. A couple of my family members were dissatisfied with there dinners as well. The coffee looked and taste like tea. Love Dominic's, go there regularly and food is consistently wonderful. Huge portions, always order half serving and still have leftovers. HOWEVER, tried a new drink on the menu, the APPLE PIE - WORST DRINK I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Comes in 2 glasses - handled mug and a shot glass, with instructions to drink 1/2 of drink in mug, then add in the shot of Baileys and drink. When the Baileys is added it curdles the drink and it gets becomes thick and nasty instantly. Even tried stirring to try to get it smooth with no luck. I don't know who came up with this monstrosity of a drink but it needs to be removed from the menu! Did I mention it was $11?! read more

Hello friends! Ok, this place I have eaten at twice and years apart as well. To start with, The cook or what ever he or she is should be whipped with the veal they are cooking. OMG! Tough. Do the taste the food before it goes out? pasta over cooked, veal hard as a brick, the only thing that was just ok was the table salad and the bread. That part was pretty good. Well I need not write anymore as you can tell this place SUCKS in every since of the word. They just cant cook. I might help them but sometimes you cant fix broken. Any self respecting Italian knows how to make shrimp scampi, it's quite evident from what I was presented as shrimp scampi there are no Italians at Dominick's. The pasta was covered with pre-cooked frozen shrimp that had been wormed up separately from the sauce that wasn't in existence and a few cherry tomatoes with basil, every one knows that basil isn't used in scampi. read more

The staff assured me they could accommodate gluten free diet. They served me a plain piece of grilled chicken with a side of steamed broccoli. After eating half of my meal, I found pasta mixed in with the broccoli. As someone with celiac/food allergies, this is a nightmare because it results in a horrible reaction. The manager said it was a "plating mistake." This is completely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend dining here if you have any sort of dietary restrictions/food allergies. Our party of seven arrived on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and were promptly seated. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We ordered the large family salad. Fresh and crispy with enough for us all. My wife chose the eggplant parmigiana (Half Portion) and I had the veal parmigiana (Half portion). Our dinners were wonderful and plenty enough for us. All our guests enjoyed their dinners.
