Inconsistent is all I can say. I ordered a king size with 4 toppings. $25 for a pizza, okay. Ordered extra cheese just to make sure. There was barely enough cheese to call it regular amount. I knew it was going to be a problem when I picked up the pizza and box wasn't that heavy. On top of it all, ordered online, the add $1.25 online fee. Have no idea what that's about. I thought they preferred online ordering. Why would I want to pay to order that way. There's a reason people drive to pizza John's and squires. $25 for a pizza, should be no mistakes. Being a born and bred Parkvillian it's beyond me of why I've never been there till now! Everybody raves about the pizza so I'll just say the are right! Oh a small 10" pizza for $5.99 with one topping...it's a no brainer! So on to the wings. I figure I'd update my review since it's been a while and since the last one I've tried more than just the pizza and cheesesteak. I've only had very small issues over the years but things that are understandable (ie soggyish pizza when we order pepperoni and sausage with extra cheese lol that's just going to happen ) any issues I've had otherwise have always been taken care of. The service is always good, yes at times if you call they may be a bit quicker to get your order in so they can move on to the other orders but that's totally understandable considering they get slammed with orders on fri/Saturday nights as well as big sporting events on TV etc. Delivery is always on time for me, again yes it's taken an hour at times but that was the time frame I was given while ordering online . I totally recommend ordering online, you can get deals and customize your order quickly. They have a few ways to order online, I usually use Yelp or their own site to order . On to the food ! So their pizza is my favorite, I will always choose them over any of the chain type pizza places if given the chance. Their meat sauce pizza is so good! It's rare to find a place with a solid meat sauce that really has chunks of meat . Their cheese is also a great choice and with their b1g1 pickup special these are fantastic for pizza parties. Cheesesteak - their cheesesteak is good but my only gripe is they are a bit thin, I usually only order them during lunch time . Burger / burger sub- yummy! These things are filling and there isn't that odd mystery patty like most places use , these are made with real meat and look to be hand formed . You won't be hungry after one of these . Chicken /chicken strips - so we've been dabbling in their chicken since they've been advertising it . Their chicken is really good! The first time we got it , it was a bit dark but the flavor was still there. Their chicken strips are MASSIVE , like a 2 count box fills me up . These are 100% real chicken, no ground up formed things . They're freshly made and their batter has a great flavor. I really love these because of how legit they are. Most places have that same frozen flat chicken strip that's super salty so I never liked ordering chicken strips but I took a shot here and I'm so glad I did . Fries - they're good but I liked their old ones that they had about 1/2 years ago . The ones they have now have the skin on the ends but they're not the "boardwalk " type . Again they're not bad ,always done well and not soggy but I miss the other ones . Gravy - I am a fan of their brown gravy, it's not watery like most places so if you get gravy fries you won't be eating super soggy fries but I do like to get mine on the side and dip them lol . Fish sub- it's a solid fish sub , good flavor and it tastes like it may be flounder . Not overly salty or weird texture. Southwest egg rolls - sooooo good ! The spicy ranch sauce just makes it . I did have an issue one time with them being over cooked but I'm a fan of crunch lol . When they're done as they should be they're amazing. Cinnamon knots- not sure if they still have them but I'd pass on these . The flavor was nice but the texture and everything was just a miss for me . Cannoli- yumm , I love them here. They could use more chocolate chips but otherwise they're good . They don't taste like there's a grandma in the back making them but they fill that craving. Carrot cake - this is my daughters favorite when we get dessert from here . It's moist and the flavor is nice . I think it may be frozen but it's a good one lol . I think that covers most of it lol overall this is a very solid and reliable place and I hope they're around for many many years to come . read more

I had a delivery on the night ice was everywhere. The delivery man went out of his way to deliver the food. The ham and cheese sub was delicious. The meatball parm sub was also very good. This is a mistake we won't make twice. Ordered buffalo chicken pizza, got BBQ. Happy accident? Nope, dough was chewy, pizza had way too much cheese and barely any sauce. The problem is the women who answers the phones are rude! They've always been rude but typically we tolerate it because it's busy! We get it. One of my favorite local pizza places! Their pizzas are fantastic and absolutely huge, their pizza subs and cheesesteak subs are great and their starters never disappoint. They're one of the few (non-bar) places I found that sell fried pickles! I'm just very slightly outside their delivery range but my household agrees it's well worth the drive over. I decided to try a new pizza place. I chose Dominick's because it's close to my house. Wow, I have been missing out! The dough tastes fresh and is light so that the flavors of the sauce and toppings stand out. The true test was when I ate a few slices the next day. You can tell that the cheese is not cheap like at some other places where the cheese barely looks like cheese the next day. Also, Dominicks is generous with the toppings. This place is always spot on. If you order extra cheese, they give you so much that you legit need a forklift to pick up the pizza. The sauce and crust are good too. We usually do extra cheese or pepperoni..and both are amazing. My hubby is recently gluten free and loves their GF crust. Dominick's Pizza is great! I regularly order from them using the Eat24 app. Their Pizza is one of the best around. The chicken wings are a good size for a good price and the sauce is very flavorful. I order their cannoli as well, they're pretty good. Every now and then they don't use enough sauce on the pizza, maybe 1 out of every 10 pizzas, which is only 10%. I have a feeling the owner/manager might make the dry pizza, because the toppings are also skimp when the sauce is. I had a cheese steak from them that was very dry and tuff, this was just 1 time so I can't say they are always this way. The French fries are however consistently soggy, so I wouldn't purchase them. For the reasons above I subtracted 1 star. Based on my opinion I would skip the subs and fries and stick to the pizza and wings. The Pizza and wings are awesome! read more

In the mood for pizza, my son suggest this place. I pick up the phone to call to place the order.( However, it should be noted that I called the one in Nottingham). I'm on the computer looking up the menu (and prices) while I order. Originally, I'm just going to order two pizzas. One plain cheese, the other a deluxe. The operator tells me they are offering a buy one get one free on medium pizzas. Sure, so then because I figured I was getting a deal I order onion rings and fried pickles. I get there to pick up and she tells me my total is 38.39. What? Long story short they tell me the medium deluxe pizza was $26.24 because of the extra!!! People, the pizza was described with all the toppings and the listed price was around $13.49!!!! NO WHERE did it say extra toppings were extra!! Sometimes a poor situation handled properly makes someplace more appealing. I ordered from here about a month ago, and was impressed enough to order again. The first time, all I got was pizza, and it was really good. A lot of places put too much sugar in the sauce, and it's just not good. Dominick's had a great crust and perfectly flavored sauce. My next encounter wasn't so great, but their ability to go above and beyond will keep me coming back. I placed an order online at 8:20pm and received a confirmation. Around 9:30 when my order still hadn't arrived, I called to check on it. There was a glitch in the online ordering system that caused them to not receive my order. The lady on the phone was super polite, offered a $15 credit towards my next order, and put a rush on my current order. We got a Hawaiian pizza and a crab pretzel. Both were very good! The crab pretzel was way better than I ever expected to get from a pizza place. The pizza, as usual, was very good as well. Dominick's quickly became my go-to pizza place, I just learned that online ordering isn't the best way to go. read more

What a transformation since the renovation. It is totally different from the pre-fire Dominick's. It has large, clear windows and it is very clean. When you walk in, there is a skinny bar on the left for those who can't wait to get their pizza home and the cashiers are to the right. It's more of a carryout kind of place. The cashiers are elevated so it feels like you are looking up to the high priests of pizza. Service was curt but efficient. The pizza was fantastic. I saw this place had 4 stars so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered and paid online. I ordered 2 of their specials of 18" pizza with 25 wings and a 2 liter. I specified that I would like to split the wing flavors. I tried to put the order in for delivery but was prompted that I'm outside the delivery area even though I'm only 1.5 miles away. So I opted for carryout. I then paid via PayPal. I received 3 phone calls from this place. The first to let me know they don't split wing flavors even though I ordered 50 wings! The second call was to let me know they don't deliever. I know that's why I set it for carryout. The third call was to ask me if I paid. Yes I paid via PayPal. Finally I go to pick the order up and they are confused and don't know where the order is. They find it after a period of time. The food is mediocre at best. And get to top things off I never received the 2 liter sodas. I was hoping that that food would live up to the reviews to offset their poor customer service but unfortunately it doesn't. I recently moved to the Parkville area and I'm in "love" with Dominic's Pizza. This is pizza the way it's suppose to be - lots of gooey cheese, a tangy pizza sauce, and crust that you have to eat because the bread is so good. They also have a "pick up only" deal "buy any large pizza and get a large cheese pizza free!" You can't beat Dominic's! Edited to add: OMG they have the best cheese steak sub! The meat is lean, enough cheese to make it cheesy (not skimpy like a well-known sub shop) and ooooh they toasted the bun so wonderfully!! Yum! I have eaten pizza at Dominic's since I was like, a baby. My Dad ate there when he was a kid and talks about how he actually met "Dominic" (although I question that one...) I usually get the two medium pizza deal, which is a great price for the quality foodstuffs you receive. I have never really had any other items on the menu, but many tell me they are just as good as the pizza. The new renovations since the fire they had are a great improvement, because that place was starting to look pretty shabby. Also I have read the reviews of people commenting on the "friendliness" of the people taking your order, and boy is that spot on. Luckily, I am rating based on food quality alone ;) There is another location in Perry Hall, which I had to use during the renovation of the Parkville branch. I don't know why, but I had this irrational fear that the PH Domick's wouldn't be as good. Not like they use the same ingreidents or anything... I have hesitated a long time from trying Dominick's knowing the original Dominick's started at Squires but had since made his fortune and sold out many years ago. Nonetheless, I have finally tried it. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a 1/2 pep 1/2 sausage. It came full pep full sausage. Regardless of the Error, in my favor, it was a really good pie. Light on the sauce but big on flavor with a nice chewy crust. 3 out of 5 only because of the lack of sauce. But that's personal preference. I'm a big Pizza John's (Essex) fan. read more
