This Domino's is closer to my house so we always have our pizza in here. We always had the chicken pizza, with the garlic bread and Choco lava, and I think I really like their pizza, thin crust and crunchy! We always had the large size..lol, we're happily fat! For the garlic bread, what I like is that if I can't finish it, I can still have it in the next day it didn't gets hard! Though it may be more salty! Hehehe The staffs are ok too in here. read more

As I was eating my pizza I felt something strange and pulled out a long piece of plastic from a wrapper in my mouth. Good thing I was chewing good and felt it bcz it was mixed in with pizza. A child might not be so lucky and choke. I noticed the employees really have to hustle in there and move fast, but not good if its rushing to the point of accidentally getting something you can choke on mixed in the pizza. I have never been so disgusted with a food establishment and how they treat their customers. Last night I placed an order by phone to the Placentia location at 11:11pm. The man took my order and preceded to tell me my order would be here in 20-30 minutes. About 45 later, no sign or word from dominos thus no pizza. This wouldn't have been so bad except for I was not able to ambulate due to my arthritis. When I placed the order I told my daughter that dominos said they would be here in 20-30 minutes, so she went home. This morning I contacted the store spoke to the manager and explained what had happened and how upset I was when they didn't show up with my food. Well she passed the buck saying it was a call center error. I said ok I will call the call center she quickly stated it would do not any good as the call center would just put the blame on the store. So here's my message to Dominos, please train your management and staff to correctly do their job, be accountable for their actions but most of all remember how they stay in business, The customers! If they don't have good customer service skills they won't be keeping their customers. I am pretty upset at the lack of skills the female manager has shown. Be aware if your hungry and counting on having food delivered you might want to check out a more reliable source. read more

December 2020 The location is convent to order pizza from but doesn't expect anything more than that. We ordered through the mobile app like we have always done so and opted for delivery. I follow the Pizza Tracker feature to see the status of our pizza order. Our order was marked as delivered to only find out nothing was waiting at our front door. we called the location to verify the status of the order. I spoke to 3 different people to end up being told the driver G***** accidentally marked our order deliver before dropping it off. The store assured me that the pizza would still be delivered in 10 mins. I called back after 10mins to end up speaking with the driver G***** to be told by him that he had attempted to deliver the pizzas but was told by a gentleman that he never ordered any pizzas. I asked him to confirm the address and he said it was what I listed on the order. I requested for a refund but G***** said they cannot provide documentation for the refund. I opted to come into the store to find that all they offered me was a receipt with the word Void. We never ended up getting our pizzas and I still have to wait for a refund. Here it goes.... Look, I'm not a complainer... I stay quiet, I allow people to take advantage because I feel my energy could be used for a better purpose. HOWEVER.... This location is by far the worst one I have used. I've ordered many times before and every time I had garbage customer service but I stayed quiet. Their customer service is trash, I'm being nice too. So what happened?.... Gonna keep it short and to the point: Ordered the 3 mediums for $6 each. Picked them up, they DID have them done within the time it showed online. Took them home and opened up a box to find a long human hair. (Check our photo) Now, just fyi, it's only my son and I here at home.... ok... so we both get grossed out ESPECIALLY due to this whole covid issue. I took a photo of it immediately and threw it away. Closing the box I saw another one caught in the crease of the box. THEN I found ANOTHER hair on the OUTSIDE of another pizza. That one I dealt with. So I decided to call them back... I asked for the manager, his name is DILLAN, store 8170.... he picks up 2 minutes later and I tell him what's going on, he claims it's not theirs and that his employees hair are all wrapped up and tied back... that's a lie. I would have taken a photo of his employees but I didn't wanna look creepy. They are NOT wrapped and tied back. He put in a passive aggressive argument and I told him that I don't waste my time on BS and we have no females living here. He mentions he will remake the pizzas and I can come pick them up... (I'm assuming I get the 3 replaced, assumed wrong)... because he's not worth my energy I said ok and before I hung up, he asked if I could bring back the pizza that had the hair on it... ummmm contaminate you store much? That is the single most stupid thing a manager can ask for being covid is a HUGE factor. He's putting his store and every customer from there on at high risk. I showed with my pizza. His smug employee Danial , (no customer service training) brought out the pizza because DILLAN was too much of a coward to deal with me. He open the pizza and asked, "where's the hair?", I said I tossed it, I then asked if he wanted the hair too. Really!??! He gave me the ONE pizza replacement and took the other.... I asked him... I have never been to a place with such horrible customer service. Due to COVID, all orders need to be made either online or over the phone. We placed an online order over and went for pick up but realized you had to have a separate order for crushed red peppers and ranch so their employee requested we call (even though we are standing right outside Dominos) to order extra sides. He goes back inside to pick up the phone as we are standing outside in the rudest way! He almost forgot we just had the conversation with him 30 seconds ago? He comes back out and slams the extras we requested on the table. When I approached him about his service, he said it was because they were extremely busy????? We ordered dinner from this Domino's super close by. We are not satisfied with the order. The pizza is not half cheese and half sausage, mushroom and spinach, right? Just got around to reviewing this terrible store. Most of the time the food is very mid but occasionally you get a night where it's terrible. I had one of those nights on 01/13/24 where we ordered two pizzas and a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The order took almost an hour and half to make get to us even though it was stated it would take between 35 to 45 minutes. When the food got here the sandwich was so dry it was like it had been sitting out for hours and the pizzas were undercooked. I tried calling but just got the automated service. This store has been bad for a while but somehow it's getting worse. By the way here is my case # 6874380 if anyone from dominos is reading this, but I don't hold my breath it's been over a month and still no reply on this case. I am so angry at the service at this store. They gave me the wrong order. I called them and no one answered. This location is complete trash. So frequently messing up orders that we won't even request delivery anymore, we need to see the items before accepting them. This most recent time, January 4, 2020, they got our order wrong, and before leaving the store we requested they correct it. We waited over 30 minutes, in store, waiting for the correction, while they handed out pizzas to customers who came after us. This place has terrible customer service first and foremost and the food is awful. I have no idea how you mess up wings but they managed to do that. We ordered pizza and wings on a Friday night from this location. On the Domino's website there was supposed to be a promotion for the wings which was advertised as $7.99 for 10 wings. When I called in to order, the gentleman told me they don't honor that promotion. Okay, so we still go ahead and order it because my husband wanted it. My husband picks the food up and the wings are literally inedible. They are so soggy it's equivalent of biting through a pure piece of fat. It's worse than that. At least fat tastes good. There was literally no chicken on the bones and zero flavor. I called back to complain and after going back and forth with the guy playing telephone, I asked to speak with the manager. The person said they were the GM and the only thing he could offer was a credit for a future order because they were "too busy." Last time we got Garlic Knots that we're drenched in butter sauce like it was soup. Totally unappetizing. We never got a response from the review we left on their website about the problem so we are putting it here on Yelp to warn people. We decided to give it another chance today and we got soupy Garlic Knots literally drenched in the yellow garlic butter sauce and that weren't even hot. Ordered from these location numerous times knowing that it's fast food and you get what you pay for. This experience was by far the worst Tracker said pizza was made by "Angel". Well Angel you need to do a better job at setting timers. One of two pizzas ordered was burned and both cheesey breads I ordered were burned as well. The lead to a saturation of oil that seeped out of the burnt cheese on both the pizza and the bread that needed to be blotted with napkins before eating. Ordered from here twice now. The first time we had it delivered, and it took 2 hours to get here even though we only live 1.3 miles away (according to google maps). The second time was worse. We figured we can order carryout and bring it home seeing how they have a hard time delivering pizza. So we go in and pick up our pizza and pasta, everything seems fine. Then we eat the pasta and continue to pull out the pizza. Upon inspection there is a little bit of black on one of the slices. I look closer and at first it looks just like a little bit of burnt cheese. I got to pull it off, but to my surprise more comes out. I just pulled on the legs of a dead bug. A FLY was baked into my pizza. All in all the dominos clearly cares very little about quality. Based on my personal experiences as well as others reviews, this location isn't worth it. The pizza arrived at 820 pm, my order was placed at 640 pm, the email states 30 - 40 minutes for the delivery. The pizza tracker stated the pizza was inspected by the manager at 658 pm, when I finally got through to the store (after holding for 15 minutes on the phone) at 758 pm, the pizza had gone out for delivery. When it arrived it looked like it sat out for an hour and a half too. I did not accept the pizza. The driver was very nice and polite, but the delivery time had to be rated low. The manager was rude and unhelpful on the phone (he didn't even offer to remake the order so it was fresh), he just said the online tracker has no idea how the times are measured so I would be ok because it takes 30 min. to make a pizza, which is the original delivery time quoted to me, so we know that's not the truth. Short-staffed or not, you should not be serving cold pizza when someone pays $40, the least you could do is remake that properly. Also, you shouldn't be so rude to your customer, we pay good money for the food and service, we tip well too, this type of service and attitude is what drives us to your competition, and trust me, there is plenty of that. read more

Ok. So this will continue the complaints on this store about their customer service. I have worked in retail for over 20 years, for the same company. We pride ourselves on great customer service. Obviously, this company does not have the same beliefs. It started with the phone call to this location to place an order for pick up, guy on the phone was just a jerk. Super short with me and seemed extremely bothered that I had called there. Then when I go to pick it up curbside, I pay the guy and he comes back with the 6 pizzas I ordered and the garlic knots. He goes back inside. I'm not sure what his name is ( after hearing his voice, I can tell it's the same guy from the phone call earlier), but he had on glasses and wore a blue shirt and it was right before noon today, 9/6/20. Anyway, I put the pizzas in my car and see there was no napkins or plates with my order. So I walk back up to the door and knock on the window. After about a minute of knocking, the same guy comes out. He gives me a hand single to call the store...dude. I was just there 1 minute ago and there's no one else in the parking lot! Anyway, he opens the door and rudely says "yea?" I asked him for some napkins and plates. His response was "what?" I said "can I get some napkins and plates?" He walks away and comes back with "5" napkins...that's it. I said "could I have more napkins and some plates too?" His response "plates?" Then gave me an eye roll and came back with maybe 3 plates...remember, I had just got 6 medium pizzas! I asked for more, he gave me more attitude and came back with 5 more plates...what the Hell. I asked him if there was a problem and if they usually give out plates/napkins. He said "nope" and slammed the door and walked away. This is the LONGEST Yelp review I have EVER done. Never read the reviews since i'm a local and it's the closest dominos. But after receiving a badly made order, I couldn't agree more with what everyone is saying!! This one is complete trash. Majority of the times that I have ordered from here something is always wrong. I constantly receive a pizza that is raw on some places. So I order well done from now on but even then the pizza somehow still manages to be half raw!!?? 2nd I received a pan pizza with some parts super thick and some super thin? 3rd It's a guessing game because there are days where regular sauce is actually regular sauce. On other days the pizza is oozing out with sauce due to the fact that they put way too much sauce! So now I ask for LIGHT SAUCE & the pizza barely has no sauce. Never complain but today did it for me as this pizza we just ate was the worst i've had. It was a complete mess! I've noticed that the pizza always tends to come out wrong when they have the young ones making the pizza. They are mostly fooling around and not paying attention to what they are doing. So this is an update to my prior review of this domino's location. After they messed up my pizza pretty bad and I left a bad review, they did try to call and give me credit for another pizza (so thanks for the attempt). However, I just really didn't ever want to go back. Fast forward a few months, I decided to give them another shot and they nailed it. My thin crust pizza was perfectly made.
