Man, shoutout to Board & Brew because they completely changed the way I look at sandwiches. Growing up, I was never really a huge sandwich person. My mom usually made the classic ham and cheese or turkey and cheese, so sandwiches never felt like something I got overly excited about. Then I tried the Turkado, and honestly... I get it now. That sandwich was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of turkey, lettuce, and that signature sauce. I don't know what exactly is in that sauce, but do they share the recipe? Because there's something about it that makes the sandwich special. It ties everything together perfectly. I also tried the Baja Chicken, and this one honestly proved me wrong. I've never been the biggest fan of chicken sandwiches on that type of bread, but Board & Brew made me question that entire opinion because this sandwich was magnificent. Flavorful, satisfying, and way better than I expected. Now I'm sitting here realizing I probably need to work my way through the rest of the menu because there are still several sandwiches I haven't tried. This is your casual sandwich spot with many options to choose from including salads & wraps. I like that they have a TV & bar top where you can order beer on tap. They also serve canned white/red wine which surprisingly tasted good! Their beer is legit as well. Hubby & I have only tried their sandwiches & ALL of them (Turk ado, turkey club, California delight, prime dip) tasted solid. This one in the photo (Tom's choice) is what we recently had. Staff were nice, the restaurant is a good size with a little out door seating area. Price is decent and there is plenty of parking. I ordered the Baja Beef and Beachwood Hazy, The ambiance is really casual, the staff is friendly and there's good beach music. They have a little bar top which is cool as well. The Baja beef was okay, the meat was chewy and the sandwich was messy. I'm sure there are plenty of other sandwiches that are much better so I'm not going to knock this place just for that. The Bread is pretty basic, it's just like Ghost if you ever had that. Overall I wouldn't order this sandwich again. They have a good selection of chips, and I enjoy this brand of chips much more than the other sandwich places offer, so that's a plus. They have a good variety of beer and it pairs well with the sandwich. Overall, I would come back because the sandwiches are a nice competitive price and you can get a good beer with it. I'm giving it a 4 star instead of a 3 because I believe I picked a bad sandwich and I'm sure most of their sandwiches taste great. Somehow you just can't go wrong with Board & Brew. It is always fresh and the turkado never fails to be the best sandwich. This location is always busy-- and we came in with 16 people, they helped make it work. We just wish this place was bigger but are so glad one is close. I just discovered Board & Brew. It is a great place to have a relaxing meal before checking out a movie in the same center. I enjoyed the Beef Dip. There is a generous amount of beef in the sandwich as well as plenty of au jou dip. There was awesome 80s music that played in the background that day. Saw that this was on the way back home and a sandwich sounded really good so decided to hit up this spot. Here's what we ordered: **Italian Sub: What can I say? It's a solid sub if you ask me. I just wish there was more dijon mustard because my sandwich was lighter on the flavor. I also wanted more than four pieces of banana peppers without having to pay for extra. Overall, it was a solid pick and ingredients were very fresh. (3.5/5) **Turkey Deluxe: This one was very basic besides the fact that it had sunflower seeds. We also got the secret sauce on the side which was a great choice because we weren't big fans of that. The secret sauce was way too sweet and didn't make too much sense with the sandwich itself. (3.5/5) Not the best but certainly not the worst either. Definitely a bang for your buck because the ingredients here seem really fresh and they pack the sandwiches. I can't believe it took me FOREVER to try this place. Last time I ordered a Baja Chicken Sandwich and it was pretty tasteful. And so far I have tried the Turkado, the Beef Dip and also the Cobb Salad. The ordering process to pickup is very straightforward, which made my experience better. The app is super simple and user friendly. I dont give this 5 stars cause the parking is always a situation at this location. I have never been able to eat here because I have always found parking super far (its always packed and thats a good sign). I ordered two boxes for my daughter's birthday party. Very little guests have experienced their sandwiches prior to my event, so everyone was impressed. I placed the order a week before, pick up was easy, order number and receipt presented, staff explained the sandwich boxes and contents. They offered to bring it to the car but my husband parked right in front so help was needed. If you don't get the pick up spot in front, you may need some help back to your car. Let me start off this review by saying I have been a loyal customer at the La Habra Board and Brew for years. I have always loved the food and the relaxed vibe of the place. The service has always been a little off, but I contributed that to hiring young people with limited life experience and underdeveloped social skills. I went to Board and Brew yesterday, during my lunch break, and had an entirely different experience. The experience was so terrible that it inspired me to write my very first Yelp review of any business. I ordered a Left Coast Pastrami, and my coworker ordered the Baja Beef, both sandwiches we have ordered several times in the past. We ordered our food to go and received it about 10 minutes later. We left the restaurant and returned to our work break room to eat the sandwiches. When I opened my Left Coast Pastrami, I noticed zero sliced pastrami. Yes, zero. The sliced meat in my sandwich was actually sliced fat. Yup, only thinly sliced fat. I could not find one sliver of meat in the sandwich. My coworker then opened his Baja Beef and found the beef wasn't sliced as usual but had one large ball (size of a golf ball) of fat and gristle. As one could imagine, both sandwiches were not edible. I next called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Mark. I told Mark of my experience, and he was quick to dismiss me and just offer me a refund. I told Mark I wanted him to see the sandwiches and look into the matter because there was no logical way this could have occurred by "accident". I subsequently sent Mark the photos of the sandwiches, via text. Mark returned my call a few minutes later and explained they recently used a new pastrami vender, and the new meat wasn't as lean. As before, he was very dismissive and just wanted to void the transaction and get me a refund. I reminded Mark that it was impossible for this to go unnoticed by his cooks. I asked him how a cook could not feel a gristle chunk the size of a gold ball. Mark did not respond. I asked Mark how someone slicing pastrami could not see every piece was fat, and again, he had no response. I told Mark one bad sandwich was odd, but two sandwiches was a pattern. I then told Mark I thought I received the bad service because of my profession. When I ordered my food, I was in uniform as a First Responder from a local law enforcement agency. Mark again dismissed me and said that had nothing to do with the two "fat sandwiches". At this point, I realized talking to Mark was pointless and ended the call with him. I checked my account today and noticed he did refund my money. First Responders, please be careful when ordering from this establishment. read more

I ordered the Turkado on squaw bread. I was there around 10:45am. The bread was dry and not fresh, and the avocado was brown. This hasn't been the case when I go later in the afternoon. Maybe if I went later in the day and they run out of yesterday's bread/avocado it will be better? Not sure. Started review 12/2022 - 5 stars at the time but got busy and never posted my review. Apologies. Have done many, many take out orders and only 2 in restaurant dinings. My feedback from the initial visit in 2022 through my most recent take out visit which was just last week 2/2026, throughout the years things have changed, they started giving less meat in their sandwiches. However, the one thing that bothered me most and has diminished my weekly take out orders from here was one of my two dine in experiences, they charged me $1 USD extra for each sandwich to toast the bread..... I absolutely cannot get on board with that surcharge and took me a few months to come back after that. I dont like limp or soggy sandwiches so I absolutely want it toasted regardless of where purchased from.. There have been a few orders they have screwed up but with the quantity of visits we have made here, its minimal in the big picture. Modified to 4 stars from initial 5 star intention due to the bread toasting issue, and errors on numerous take out orders (including once when I got a complete incorrect sandwich and dont eat red meat so had to toss it and was too late to get anything else because i did the takeout to take to work). read more

I had placed my order online directly on their site and I was disappointed because my order was wrong. I did not notice this until getting home ready to eat. We came in for sandwiches cause they serve gluten free wraps. It's hard to find gluten free in my own neighborhood. The menu was big enough with many healthy options. Place is little cramped indoor but the patio area is very open and spacious. We decided on tuna gluten free wrap, beef dip and side of potato salad. Hubby had a stout and I had fountain drink. They have decent selections of brews, canned beers and wines. Also happy hour all brews $1off. The sandwiches were very fresh and delicious in large portions. Although it's fast casual place but we tipped 15% for the cleaning up after. The cashier guy was very friendly as well.
