All the appetizers were delicious, but all the entrees that we ordered were pretty bad. The steak portion was very small and was only bulked up by the vegetables medley underneath. The cut of the beef was very sinewy and was not worth the price. The tobiko pasta was very bland and the clams weren't thoroughly cleaned a d were full of sand. We also ordered the salmon & cream cheese sushi roll and it was funky. And the rice was not cooked well. The spicy tuna roll was just as bad. Lastly, the miso salmon had too much miso, it was almost unpleasant. The staff seem to have a certain way of choosing where customers sit. Those well semi formally dressed were sat on the booths by the windows, while the ones wearing casuals were sat in the middle tables, regardless of the group number. We had a nice lunch with a view of the golf course. We tried the tempura udon, clam pasta, (forgot the name) Tonkatsu and the spicy tuna roll. For dessert we had the sweet potato brûlée and the black sesame panna cotta They served some Bon chon with the lunch. The service was outstanding and we enjoyed every dish. I dined here with my family about two weeks ago as a party of eleven. We ordered the sushi and hand roll course, which included the Ahi Tuna Crudo, nine pieces of the chef's premium sushi selection, and two hand rolls--spicy tuna and salmon. We also tried the Pork Loin Katsu set, the Scallops with Maple Truffle Soy Sauce, and the Korean Fried Chicken. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Kakigori shaved ice and the Sweet Potato Crème Brûlée. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful, with the Scallops in Maple Truffle Soy Sauce standing out as my personal favorite. I forgot to take a photo of it. The service was attentive and efficient, especially considering that the restaurant recently opened and we were a large group. Came here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary at the recommendation of a colleague. Location: It's a bit out of the way at the end of Ewa Beach but easy to find...just follow Ft. Weaver Road to the end. Parking was free and ample and the bldg is nicely maintained. Ambiance: Once we entered the bldg we could already hear all the noise from the restaurant upstairs. It sounded like a busy cafeteria. The set up of the space, the service from the seating hosts and servers, and the presentation of the dishes made one feel that the goal was to provide a more elevated dining experience, however the noise level detracted from that completely. At a certain point of the night there was music playing over the loud speaker. The volume seemed to be set at a higher level to drown out the chatter but that just made it louder overall. Food: The menu is varied with familiar iand specialty dishes. For our appetizers we ordered Tuna Toast and Chef's Choice Sushi Plate. Main entrees were Wafu Steak and Miso Black Cod. These were all good, we enjoyed the sushi the most. Overall, the food was good but not what I would call amazing. Dessert was another story, they had 3 offerings: black sesame panna cotta, sweet potato creme brulee, and shave ice. We selected the sweet potato creme brulee and unfortunately we were disappointed. The glaze did not crack and the filling itself was a heavy thick mashed potato texture. Not what we expected for dessert. All-in-all for the amount spent I think this wasn't quite there for us, but we have a great story of being charged $13 for half a potato for dessert. read more

Beautiful view of #1 and 18th hole and the food was really good! Been craving some Tonkatsu and they did not disappoint. The tonkatsu was moist yet the outside crispy! The side dishes were Ono as well. My wife had the loco moco, the patty was seasoned well, tender, and the gravy was not overpowering but just right. The service was most excellent! DOMODOMO, the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant from New York, has newly opened in Hawaii. Led by Chef Brian Kim, DOMODOMO brings a trendy and diverse mix of Japanese and Korean flavors. We ordered the Sushi/Hand Roll Lunch Set, Corn Ribs, Menchi-katsu, and Hwe Dup Bap. The most impressive dish was the Menchi-katsu -- for just $14, you get three large pieces, and the crispiness of the coating is truly on another level. The breading holds up even better than at some of Hawaii's most popular katsu spots, and any gaminess the meat might have had is beautifully balanced by the aroma of chili pepper. The sushi neta is perfectly aged, giving it a pleasantly chewy texture and deep umami. The well-seasoned corn ribs make for an outstanding snack. With trendy new restaurants like Okdongsik, Chao, and Earls opening recently, Hawaii's dining scene is evolving quickly. I should have read the yelp reviews beforehand because I was disappointed that I couldn't order the Domokase-the very reason I wanted to try here in the first place. Stipulation, you can only order the domokase if your entire table orders it as well. I really think they should state this on the online menu. That being said I went with my alternative, the sushi /hand roll course. Happily it was very fresh and the presentation, pleasing. The best course of that was the fish crudo with yuzu. Among my favorite dishes that we also ordered were the miso cod with kabocha puree. Seasoned and cooked perfectly with a delicate flavor not overpowered with miso. I'm gonna copy the kabocha puree at home for certain. Then the grilled octopus was so yummy and tender. Loved it w the spice and smokiness of Calabrian chili. The sweet potato brulee wasn't the typical creme brûlée but a half of a sweet potato with a caramelized top and it was just simplicity at its best! Exceptional and good for you. The strawberry shaved ice was so refreshing and I don't know how they do it but the syrup ice ratio was on it! When seated, the hostess asked if we wanted a golf course view or ocean view. We went for lunch and we were seated right away. Peaceful view of the golf course. Our waitress Jasmine was very quick with our orders. The food came out fast and hot. The flavors were suttle, but flavorful not overpowering. Portions were more than enough. Side dishes were nice. My favorite side dish would be the salad with roasted sesame seed dressing. Our waitress,Cat, was fabulous, explaining the food options and very knowledgeable of the entire menu. Her recommendations were "spot on". One of us had the seafood bowl and the other had the chicken dumplings! Both were fresh, delicious and the presentation was beautiful. This type of fusion cuisine is probably unique to the continental US, however here in HI we have so many better options for asian fusion dining, and honestly many other local restaurants here can easily put Domo Domo to shame. Corn ribs: good concept, i see what they are trying to do but it falls short. Texture of corn was very tough and chewy rather than crispy. Hand rolls: hard pass, fish was fresh but thats about all that was good about it. Miso butterfish with kabocha puree: okay, fish cooked perfectly, puree needs a bit more salt, dish entirely is lacking in texture. Pork loin katsu was the real winner, pork was juicy and tender, and it came with rice and cabbage salad, will return for this dish. Sweet potato brulee was actually pretty good too. I think the price you pay for these dishes however does not reflect what you actually get . Service: 1/5 We came the Monday after Valentines day. Reservations for 1800. We arrived 1750. We saw maybe 1 host who was hustling in the back getting tables set and menus wiped down. We overlooked it as we saw they were pretty busy... unfortunately this was not where it ended. Seated around 1810. We placed orders for our drinks and food at one time since we had already known what we wanted: a cocktail, a mocktail, an appetizer, hand rolls and 2 entrees. Drinks took maybe 15min to get to us. This is where it went downhill. The kitchen does not seem to have timing down with their meals- almost appears that they fire dishes in batches versus by order. My husband's fish entree made it to our table first. By the time my katsu came, his fish was already cold. 10min later the corn appetizer arrived. The hand rolls were the last thing to hit our table and by then we had been seated over an hour. Sweet potato brulee took maybe 20min to get to us after ordering. Our server was hauling ass and doing his best, but really this poor rating falls on the kitchen Facilities are immaculate. Everything and is clean and the ambiance is amazing with beautiful views no matter where you are seated. There is ample parking. I will return to try other dishes several months from now, and hopefully by then the team has had a fine tune up. Tried DomoDomo for the first time on Valentine's Day and it exceeded my expectations. View of the golf course was breath taking and it's such a perfecf date night spot with how modern the inside looks. Great food and drinks selection on the menu which made it very difficult to decide. Our starters were the garlic bacon fried rice and truffle fries. Mains were the Pork Katsu and Sukiyaki Don. Everything had such great flavor and we were given such generous portions. We went on 11/22 and our reservation was for 6 o'clock and we were seated shortly after. Less than 10 minutes later we both ordered the Domokase. We did not receive the first dish until about 6:45-6:50ish, so we had to wait about 35-40 minutes to start eating. Now I understand the restaurant is new and they're still working things out in the back of house, but our server didn't let us know that the raw fish line was significantly slower than the hot food line until the end of our meal. By the time we received our desserts nearly 2 hours had passed and we had seen the table behind us get turned over 3 times. So in the span of our one meal we saw 3 different parties get sat at the same table. And we are not slow eaters. This was unfortunate because it was my girlfriend's birthday and the food was actually delicious and we enjoyed every dish, but for a restaurant that touts a Michelin Star at their main location this was not the service we were expecting. Stopped by Domo Domo in Ewa Beach and tried the beef udon along with the sashimi plate. Both were just okay--nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The udon had decent flavor, though the broth could've been richer, and the sashimi was fresh enough but not super memorable. First time dinning at this restaurant for dinner service. Reservation for 5:45, we got there a bit early but we were able to be seated right away. We were told ahead of time of a 2 hr period for dine in d/t dinner reservations but we didn't need all that time since drinks and food came out fairly quick and so did the check after we asked for it. Parking: Lots, no worry in finding a stall. Beautiful front entrance, ADA with elevator since the restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Really great view over looking golf course or the beach across the street. Inside ambiance is clean and cozy. Drinks: we got the Tiki Tiki Shinjuku and the Hazy moon. This is partially where we gave 1 star off. Bartender had a heavy hand, we tasted more alcohol than any of the flavor that the drinks were supposed to have. We had to chase it down with soda to really finish it. Might need to try other drinks next time Food: We shared a good amount of food. Apps: the fried corn: good concept, cheese topping was interesting. If it had been a nice garlic butter parm, that would've been better & One faced hand roll set: both salmon and ahi were fresh and had great flavor, the shrimp for the shrimp tempura was big, and the rice portion was enough for each hand roll. Only thing we didn't quite care for was the imitation spicy crab. Another reason why we gave 1 star off. Entree: Miso black cod: enjoy this a lot, the bod was cooked perfect tenderness and the miso flavor was on point. Kabocha puree alone was lacking salt but eaten with the fish it paired great. We tried Domo Domo for dinner based on the reviews. The location, views and interior was great as everyone noted. The service was great when we were first seated at 6:00 but slowed down considerably as the restaurant became busier. We had the Broccolini and Corn Rib appetizers and the Corn Rib was good. The Hwe Dup Bap was average as was the Galbi Platter. Portions were small and the taste was only average for the price charged. Nothing really stood out during the dinning process. Got a last minute res last night since we've been wanting to try this place since dining in at the NY location in 2019. We were told by our server that they were completely out of sushi for the night which made me really sad, since that was the reason for going in in the first place. I spoke to the Assistant General Manger, June, and he found a way to make my frown turn upside down. Nigiri's were oh so good, always makes my tummy happy!!! The scallops were yum, the grilled octopus was as well but a little spicy if you like spicy...the miso butterfish was so yummy too, loved the pumpkin touch to it...and the bingsuuu sooo good!!! The service from June and Michelle were exceptional, definitely key players in making a grand opening experience top tier. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes! I knew about this DOMO DOMO Japanese restaurant from some online platforms. It's in front of a golf course. I originally planned to have an Omakase, but the waitress said it was only available in the evening. However, there were many options for lunch sets, so I took one of them. She also gave me some appetizers before the meal, which were very good. The waitress was very nice and the environment was very comfortable. You could see the golf course. Loco Moco- 5/10 my son ordered this I took a bite and it was a little on the dry side. KFC dumpling- meh 5/10 Sushi plate- 5/10 it was just ok. Cucumber salad 6/10 refreshing Hand roll set- 5/10 it didn't really wow us. It was ok. Truffle fries- 5/10 came out room temperature..... you could taste the truffle. Beautiful view of Eva Beach and the golf course. We went for lunch and the main meal was very delicious and the portions were generous. The Korean twist on the loco moco was very tasty and the chariso (hwe dup bap) was fantastic. The yuzu sauce was absolutely delicious - one of the unique and best sauce I've tasted to go with the chairso. So why the three star? The appetizers and side dishes were subpar and the service was absolutely horrendous. If you're looking for Korean fried chicken - don't order it here and order it at a shop that actually specializes in it. The chicken was fried with no flavor or texture. We ended up pouring the yuzu sauce over it. The meal came with edamame with no salt or flavor and they served a mushy mac with sesame oil, but the japchae was good. Now for service. We waited 10 minutes before our waitress finally came to take our order. Another waitress came by and asked if we had been assigned a waiter which was odd, but then suddenly our waitress finally came. She was distracted and prioritize cleaning tables over providing any service to her customers. I look at all the tables and many were looking around and fed up with no service from our waiter. Another customer had to waived her down with his credit card to pay for the bill and leave since they were there well before we sat down. We saw her a total of three times during our hour long meal - once when she took our order, then when she brought our food out, and after we had to wave her down for the bill. The restaurant should really consider hiring bussers instead of having their waiters do everything. I may come back for the food but definitely not for the service. read more

We chose this place for our anniversary, and it was a wonderful decision. The kanikama tempura was perfectly crunchy on the outside, and the smoked dip was so flavorful and addictive. I had the scallops, and the maple truffle soy sauce added a rich depth that made the dish unforgettable. Everything we tried is one of their signature dishes, and we loved every bite.
