This is one of our favorite golf course breakfast restaurants on the island! Excellent service, food and views and prices are great. Cannot wait to return with our whole family.

We come here pretty often. After golf at Barber's Point or Coral Creek we come to Pueo because It is conveniently Happy Hour for us so the prices are reasonable. We've had good dishes and some not so good. The fried chicken wings are good size and delicious. I made the mistake of ordering the fried chicken gizzards once. They don't pre cook the gizzards before they coat and fry them so the gizzards come out tough, chewy and a little bloody. I ordered the Korean chicken yesterday and it was underwhelming, not one of the better tasting Korean chicken I've had. Also, the Mac salad, while a generous portion, lacked flavor even after adding salt and pepper. The rest of the guys had a salad, burger and BLT. They all seemed pleased with their choices. The process are really good here, with lunches priced at $11-!4, very affordable for a sit down restaurant. I wish I read the specials that were posted outside the entry because there was no specials menu on the dining tables. Another thing was that there were 7 full tables of diners and only one server. She kept forgetting things and we waited awhile for our food. Yes, I will be back. If you know what to order the food can be very good.

Great food and service! Also open to the public !

Also, did I really want a Sonic burger? The answer was an easy no. Did a quick search and found this place which I had no idea existed but now I know they exist in an excellent way. People come here to drink, I'm not a drinker but there was plentynof alcoholic beverages on the back wall for your choice that it could be overwhelming. This is a bar with indoor seating and a World Cup game was on. I think there was outdoor seating but it looked like a different restaurant to me. We ordered dirty fries, a sweet tea, the simple smash, village smash, and sweet tea. I have to admit, I'm overly harsh on burgers but from the first bite, this hit right to me. The dirty fries were good also. We washed down that salt with their mildly sweet sweet tea. That's the only miss for me as I like deep sweet tea thanks to some time spent in Mississippi earlier in life. Their food put themselves on my radar so we will definitely be back as we didn't even scratch the other meats they had on menu.

Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. They only had appetizers and salads, along with their bar, which offers a wide range of beers and wine by the glass, along with cocktails. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. We were out within 20 minutes, so very fast, and I'm hoping the griddle gets repaired soon, so I can try their burgers.

They only serve natural wines, which made everything feel really intentional and thoughtfully chosen. We had a Pinot Noir, a super funky orange wine that was honestly really cool to try, and Coenobium -- a beautiful white wine made by nuns. At one point, a bottle of red wine was opened and poured as a little salute for the room -- a simple, unexpected moment that was really wholesome. For food, we shared the venison pâté with bread and a Caprese salad -- simple, but done so well and paired perfectly with everything. It wasn't just about what we had, but how the whole experience came together. There's something really special about what they're creating there. We are already planning our next visit!

The staff is so sweet and accommodating and make excellent recommendations based on their understanding of their wines and your palate. Will definitely be back as they routinely add new wines to the menu throughout the month. The food menu is limited especially if you aren't a big meat eater but there's something for everyone. Low intervention and organic wines with such great range from light and bubbly to heavy with tons of body. Come for the wine and make friends with the staff and others around the bar. The setting is intimate so get comfy.

My one star is not about the service. Someone dropped the ball. I ordered the Large shrimp (that…read moreshrunk and was actually medium sized) with the salad. To my surprise, the head of the shrimp was on the shrimp thrown right onto my salad greens. I tried to separate them as I do not like the head and had I known, I would have never ordered it. I've been coming to Island Vintage for many many years almost weekly. I get the Mona kea next door and açaí typically. It's been a year since I got the shrimp salad. This WAS NOT the salad I have ordered for the past 11yrs. I was there with friends and something poked a part of the back of my throat area that I could not remove in public so I ended up taking it to go so I could see what was hurting my throat.. After spending 10 min just peeling the shrimp and removing the head with the parts all in my salad, I put the shrimp to the side and took a couple bites of the salad. A piece of the antenna or something poked into the back of my throat and was stuck, I couldn't finish my food till I got to my room after taking out what was stuck! We told the waiter and he said it's not the first time people have complained about it since they began putting the head attached and that the restaurant hasn't listened. So I suggested telling management myself to help the cause. The manager came over and was very nice! He thanked me for letting him know and that he didn't know it was ever served without the head. He said he's was new there..That was interesting to me since if you look at all the photos and reviews here, it's clearly without the head! He offered to take it away but I wasn't trying to get a refund. I wanted to eat it when I got to my room after removing what poked my throat and was stuck because I couldn't swallow and was afraid to. Plus I hadn't eaten any of the shrimp. My hands were filthy trying to get the head off. I got the bill and went along my way. I got to my room and once I cleared my throat I went through the salad and took a bite of the shrimp which I threw all 4 away after taking one bite. For one it was mushy which scared me and 2, it WAS NOT the shrimp that usually comes with this salad. They took the garlic butter shrimp they offer on their menu and threw it on my salad instead of the usual shrimp which had a different flavor that I loved for many years. My salad was supposed to have 4 large shrimps, if you look at my photo with just the shrimp left, and no head, those are medium and had garlic and butter all over them. Like saucy! Whatever it was it was not fresh! And it was NOT the shrimp they have always served this salad with. The shrimp this salad is served with usually is almost like a grilled butterfly large shrimp with this delicious flavor that almost tastes like it had saffron in it. Not a saucy garlic butter which is usually served as their garlic shrimp. And why would you put all the heads on and throw it on a bed of greens that could puncture someone's throat? Had I known in the restaurant that they threw on garlic shrimp on my salad, I would have returned it! In all my years coming to Island Vintage I've never experienced the shrimp salad like this. Waiter was fantastic and sweet! Manager should have taken initiative and shown more concern that my throat was punctured and I couldn't finish my food there..but again he was very nice..I should have agreed to a refund! Sorry ..my review is all over the place..and poorly written..I'm just super upset and just don't feel this matter was taken seriously.. I could have choked and my throat was punctured with part of the head or something in it.

I would've liked more flavor coming through the overall seasoning of this dish. I was expecting salty, sweet and vinegary, but it missed the mark for me. As for the spicy garlic noodles, this was flavorful, and very rich/buttery. My friend and I split the egg, while the third person in our party opted against it because she didn't care for runny eggs. Perhaps it's a good thing the third person didn't partake in the egg, because as my friend and I were driving to our next destination, we had to make a pit stop to use the restroom, as it seems that something didn't quite sit well with either of our tummies. The 3rd person who didn't eat the egg was completely fine, so not sure if it was the egg or the richness of the dishes. Overall, I would eat here again, though I would try something else on the menu.

When we arrived at 6 PM on a Friday, the restaurant was completely empty, which felt unusual. We thought maybe the crowd shows up later, but by the time we left, no one else had come in. Looking at the menu, we were disappointed to see that many of our favorites were gone--the small burger sliders, charcuterie board, and truffle fries were all missing. We ordered the ahi dynamite, but it tasted different from what we remembered--almost like it wasn't fresh. The presentation was still great, but the flavor was off. The wine, however, was just as good as always. For a $100+ bill, the food did not live up to expectations. When I asked if they'd bring back the old menu, the staff mentioned some items are available during happy hour (Monday-Thursday), but I'd honestly be happy to pay full price if they just brought them back permanently. If they restore the menu to what we all loved, I'd be happy to return. Until then, I might hold off.
