The sushi wasn't bad but very expensive. My daughter ordered the tofu teriyaki and it was awful. She's ordered this many places and never had any complaints. We asked for another dish and the server said she didn't think it was possible but that she would ask the owner or manager to come to the table. Right away the woman was rude and said it looks like 3 bites were taken so we would have to pay for a new dish and it would take a long time because they were busy-- it wasn't. We asked nicely and she was rude and I think it was embarrassing for everyone, especially for my daughter who is 26 yrs old and not very picky at all. At this point my daughter said she will pass on another dish because we would have to pay for it and everyone would be done and not even enjoy it after this fiasco. So then, I asked for a refund and she refused. Now everyone in the restaurant was staring at us and I got upset with who I assumed was the owner since she was so greedy. I said I would post very bad reviews on Yelp and Google so she finally (out of embarrassment from customers listening) said she won't charge for the bad teriyaki but no replacement. We came in on a Friday afternoon and they weren't busy at all. So we were promptly greeted, seated, received our drinks and menus. The restaurant is located in the corner of the plaza near Michael's. When you walk in, it looks small - but there's plenty of seating. We started with Crab Rangoons, where are cooked to order and had the perfect amount of filling. I ordered the Buffalo Roll and it was fresh, flavorful and loved the different textures (crispy topping, jalapeño bits, etc). My sister ordered the Las Vegas Roll and it was also super fresh and delicious. Our server was great and attentive as well, checking in frequently to ensure we were all set or if we needed anything. Wow. I was so excited to try Domo Sushi, and ventured to go across the bridge and try a new place, and regretted it pretty quickly. We were seated quickly and the service was excellent. No complaints there. I ordered the "premium" Chardonnay and it was not the wine represented on the menu. Not a chance and it was awful. So we continued on to order vegetable and shrimp tempura. Now, in my opinion, if you cannot do tempura....fresh... you shouldn't be preparing sushi. The photos show how absolutely awful the tempura was. My husband ate the shrimp (which tasted old and not fresh) because he was so hungry. I asked our server if the shrimp tempura was made to order and he said it was made one or two days ago. Well, that explains why the veggie tempura was burnt (it should be deep fried so that didn't make sense, well other than the horrible taste)...again, not made to order. It had to be out of a box and not freshly prepared. So, even though wanted give Domo a try, we went back across the bridge to have an amazing meal at Flying Fish. We don't need to experiment again. I dropped in on a whim since I do travel therapy work and this happened to be close by. I was looking for something different and ended up getting two lunch specials: the chicken teriyaki with gyoza and three half sushi rolls.Everything was amazing! It was pretty slow inside, so I was served quickly. The miso soup was really good and had a different kind of tofu than I'm used to it wasn't just the standard soft cubes, but still very, very good. The salad was also good.The chicken teriyaki was amazing, though I will say the portions were a little smaller than what I'm used to, even for a lunch special. The sushi rolls were great, too. My least favorite was the one with the white sauce (forgive me, I don't remember the names of the ones I tried!), but overall it was a great experience. I ordered the bento box #1 with tofu teriyaki, mixed vegetable tempura, gyoza, four piece California roll, white rice, and a side salad. It was the perfect amount of food for lunch. The tofu was cut into small triangles and well coated with sauce. Everything was seasoned well and had a fresh flavor. Dropped in on a whim while doing some shopping at Michael's and I'm so glad we did. I let them know I had some gluten intolerance and the young lady serving us was amazing. She made sure I knew if anything would be cross contaminated or if they could make it gluten free. They even have gluten free soy sauce! That was a first for a sushi spot in the area (that I've seen)! When we came in it was a little busy but it did take about 10 minutes for us to get seated so that was pretty quick. ** WARNING ** Prices are not as advertised on the Yelp menu and apparently the people taking the orders don't think it's necessary to inform you until you're paying the bill. Watch out or $60 of food will magically turn into $90. Another thing, if you're ordering sushi and want to sub out imitation crab for the real stuff it's $5 instead of the advertised $3 and if you decide that you want the 69 roll they will charge you twice to add real crab turning it from a $12.50 roll to a $24 roll [I know the math doesn't make sense to me either]. I can go to trappers and pay $20 for all-you-can-eat. It tastes better, gets made faster and has a better menu.
