We chose Dom's to cater our wedding solely on the basis of these Yelp reviews, specifically the review that said a friend had passed away and they wanted to pick up a cold cut platter but were treated shabbily by the Rosebud. I've been treated shabbily by Pace's on several occasions, so we wanted to try Dom's. We are VERY HAPPY we did!!! Nowadays, it's so hard to get good customer service, I really want to recognize Dom's for being so great. We got their catering with a server for our wedding. All of guests loved the food, especially the chicken marsala and baked ziti. The steak tips taste a bit better when you grill them yourself rather than get them catered, but that was the only "drawback" of the day. The server was efficient, pleasant, and did a great job setting up and dissembling everything, as well as packing up the leftovers and stocking the fridge with them. She poured our champagne, distributed it to guests. She was really superb. Working with Dom's in advance of the wedding was great. They answered all our questions, stayed in touch, and gave helpful advice. We could not have asked for better service, and I wouldn't consider using any other place in the future except Dom's. read more

I have been living in Malden for about 21 years since I was born and I got to say that the steak tips they sell here are a huge bomb seller. What makes them so special is Doms original marinade which the steak fans says that it tastes like "candy meat", however it is a perfect combination with the steak making it taste very smokey and sweet. I found out about this place when I was watching WBZ-TV and the show named Phantom Gourmet was promoting Doms Sausage describing the bio between the places and the food that customers have been talking about. They also have a meat locker and deli which feels like I'm in a market, but they also have other meats and steaks that you can buy to take home and grill for any sport occasions and summer barbecue. If you ever come here to eat, you will fall to heaven and will come here again and I also introduce other people that I know off and they said that the steak tips are absolutely fantastic better than Texas Roadhouse. A few years back, I had been lucky enough to work only a few blocks from Dom's shop in Malden. This was my first experience and it was all that I needed to know that I stepped into Boston's best place for steak tips, sausages and other meats. This is no fancy place...more of a deli counter and a few tables. But the food is so great that the line for lunch is often out the door. While I miss going there for lunch, I was thrilled to find that I can still purchase Dom's meats at Calareso's Farm Stand in Reading and Ryer's Deli in North Reading. We love Dom's for their Steak Tips primarily, but they also supply a good variety of sausages. Their frozen meats include good short ribs. They also seem to be able to accomodate special requests if you put it in ahead of time. Dom's has the best quality beef in the Malden area. I don't think any other grocery/deli store comes close to their cut quality. Not only that, they've got a great lunch/dinner menu. I used to drop in there once a week for lunch. Even though it is busy, they are quick with the service. I usually LOVE love love Doms. And that still holds through for taste, but so much for value after today. I ordered the BBQ Rib Lunch special for $8.50. C'mon now only three medium sized ribs? That averages more then two dollars a rib, and we all KNOW there is not much meat on ribs to begin with. Plain cheap if you ask me. BTW- I am NOT a big eater (usually NEVER finish a meal) & was left hungry after my lunch even with side of rice & salad and roll provided. Terrible service. The woman working behind the register was extremely rude. I was short on my bill .60 cents and she made a huge deal! Mind you I was buying over $160 worth of meat!! She put my bags to the side and told me tk come back when the whole .60!!!!? Ive Ben coming here for years and happen to know that the woman giving me hard time was the owner!!!! Can't believe it! After work yesterday, 1/17/17, I ordered a Large Cheesesteak sub with pickles. The cost was $9.00. (a bit expensive). Took it home to eat. It was the worse sub I have ever seen or had. My husband bought a couple Groupons for Dom's one day while I was not looking and while originally I thought he was a little nuts, I could not be happier we ventured out and gave this place a try. The sausage are AMAZING. We have had the fennel, broccoli rabe, pumpkin and regular Italian and have nothing to complain about. All are flavored perfectly to the point that nothing is overpowering. The pumpkin are my absolute fave. We also got the marinated turkey tips, which we made on the grill and were delish, and we had the meatball and sausage sub at the deli counter which was even better than it looked, which is hard since it looked mighty awesome. Nothing is a better sign of real enjoyment however, than the fact that we plan to go back, even without the Groupon. read more

My co-workers and I order breakfast or lunch from here often. The food is yummy and portions are good. Even though the online menu states they stop service breakfast at 11 am you can still put in a late order. Dom's is amazing. They have the best marinated steak tips I've ever had, better than Butcher Boy or McKinnon's. The originial flavor is the best in my opinion. Their steakhouse marinated chicken is also really yummy. The people who work there are great, too. This past summer, we were leaving for vacation and wanted to pick up some meat to bring with us. However, I was stuck in traffic and was not going to be able to make it to the store before they closed. We called and asked if there was anyway they could let us in 10-15 minutes after they closed and they agreed! We were so grateful that they would do that for us! read more

I have noticed some of the reviews mention lack of selection in the meat room. As a veteran Dom's shopper, I know you can ask one of the guys behind the counter to make you whatever you want. So if you see something missing that you want, just ask. Also to compare prices to a grocery store in terms of sausage is pretty unfair. The grocery store will almost always be cheaper. I have never had a bad quality sausage there my entire life. I know I'd rather pay a few extra bucks for good sausage than getting a deal in bulk of shitty sausage. read more

Can't find enough good things to say about this place. The cuts are quality, the staff is super friendly, and they even make a killer breakfast sandwich. Even more killer? Their wine selection. I first discovered Dom's products at Silver lake Liquors in Newton (Nonantum), MA. The store's owner had just installed a refrigerated unit and stocked it with Dom's steak, turkey and other marinated tips. I bought 2 lbs. of marinated steak tips. We prepared them on the grill and my family was absolutely amazed at how tender and flavorful they were. I don't live close to Malden, so it is wonderful to be able to purchase these products just blocks from my home.
