Man, talk about fusion. This place has some crazy good fusion dishes going for them. I got ramen with Pancetta, Uni, and Roasted Bone Marrow. All the flavors melded so well together with the two very distinct rich flavors of the Uni and Bone Marrow balanced out by the salty crunch of the Crispy Pancetta. I will definitely be back in the future to try other dishes! read more

This was a really nice night! The people are friendly and efficient. Service was excellent and food was great! I would have to say that my fav here is the appetizers. We loved the potato ones which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. My fav dish of the night. The other highlight was the seasoned chicken wings, which were super crispy with this tangy, unique sauce. I don't think you'd ever get tired of and you could eat it all day long. The cheesy corn was delicious, though not unique. The honey, vanilla ice cream was a light dessert, that I enjoyed. Get it in the cone. The ramen was a good, decent flavor but not the best Orlando has to offer. The best ramen place in Orlando is Soupa Saiyan, no doubt. But this was nice to try. The wait was an hr, but not unpleasant since you can walk around the East End Market and you are still within range of the buzzer. The parking is so limited. So we parked on the street, which can be a hassle. Overall a nice evening. This is trendy so there will be a wait. I would return to Soupa Saiyan for ramen but come here for the potato appetizer and the chicken wings. read more

Okay, first a minor confession, I am not that experienced with ramen. Other than a decent place in Manhattan and one in Denver I have not tasted really outstanding ramen. Well, the ramen, the KFC (Korean fried chicken) wings as well as the octopus small plate and cocktails in this joint were all extra scrummy-licious! The chicken wings are just nutz. They are so sweet and crunchy it blew my mind! The octopus is so tender and the potatoes and sauce are a perfect compliment. For drinks I had a couple of the Riki Tiki Tumbles which was like a extra refreshing mojito. My wife had their daiquiri which was very good also. For ramen I had the Richie Rich, which was, as the name implies, very rich, and also very garlicky! The pieces of pork and the egg topped it off perfectly. As I recall service was excellent as well. Parking can be tight, and no reservations so you should get there early and plan on at least a little bit of a wait. Full disclosure, my wife and I actually dined here several months ago, so ymmv. read more

Liked the food but the service was crazy long- longer than a 12in sub. I waited for a table for about an hr and 30 mins despite them telling my group of ten that it'll only take about 45 mins. After ordering it took about another hour for the food to arrive for a group of five. The restaurant was very crowded and loud, but it was nice for what it was. read more

We had excellent ramen made with Domu's house made noodles. The ramen noodle are a little thinner than my normal place but equally as good. I ordered the "Richie Rich" ramen which is a classic shoyu pork broth with chasiu grilled pork tenderloin. We also enjoyed the spicy chicken wings and green tea. This is in a great small foods and crafts enclave that you'll enjoy walking around as you wait for a table at this popular and crowded spot. read more

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. I have to point out that while COVID-19 has been like a nuke to the restaurant industry (speaking from experience as a former cook in Chicago, who had their restaurant shuttered because of the pandemic), this review is solely about the food. Taking into consideration that I ordered takeout. Temperature, texture, and all the other things that naturally take a hit during transportation ARE NOT factored into this review. I recently moved to Orlando and was looking for some comfort food since I was feeling a bit homesick and was looking for a moment of solace and comfort. Ramen has always been one of my favorite dishes. It's warm, it's salty, it's fatty... it's the pinnacle of comfort in a bowl. So when I asked around for a good ramen joint in/around the Baldwin Park and Winter Park areas, one name kept coming up. Domu. So I decided to give it a go. The menu looked promising, several types of ramen, a wide selection of small plates/appetizers, and an impressive cocktail menu (which I didn't experience since I ordered delivery). I was encouraged and excited. I ordered the wings and the curry ramen (hot, I ordered the "hot" level of heat. We'll talk about this more later). Let's talk about the wings. I got excited for the wings. They were supposed to be extra crispy and tossed in a kimchi butter sauce. I love wings. I love kimchi, and I LOOOOVVVE butter (originally from "America's Dairyland, WI. So all dairy is good in my books). The wings arrived and remained extremely crispy, even throughout the transportation process which was impressive. They were large and juicy. Unfortunately this is where the good stuff ends. The wings themselves were under seasoned and needed salt... badly. The meat felt like it was simply coated and fried with now prior seasoning or brining. Then there's the sauce. It too was bland. Woefully under seasoned and lacking depth and the funk that you'd expect from something supposedly made from kimchi. They were also missing heat. What I love about kimchi is the fire and the funk, and these wings had neither. It's disappointing because these could be an absolute flavor bomb. Now we have to get to the Star... er, the supposed Star of the show. The ramen. As I mentioned, I opted for the curry version. Fried chicken thighs, chili threads, sautéed beech mushrooms, scallions, Thai basil, and chili paste. SIGH... this was just, not good. I really wanted it to be, but it was just... not. First of all let's start with the noodles. Ramen noodles should be thicker than your average noodle, stand up to the broth, and maintain a good "chew." The noodles I got, were basically somewhere between the thickness of a Spaghetti noodle and an Angel Hair noodle. Leaning more toward Angel Hair. They were straight and boring, not curly and exciting like ramen should be. Bummer. The noodle is typically my favorite part of a bowl of ramen, followed closely by the broth. Speaking of which; the broth here was, again, under seasoned and severely lacking salt. It was flat, had no "zing," no excitement. It was nice and fatty and had good mouthfeel but no flavor. It was supposed to be a "curry" but had no curry flavor. It needed seasoning to lift it, and umami for depth. This broth had none of it. I asked for the "hot" level and this was barely a bottle rocket. Again I'm sad to report this but, it just needs some additional love. As for the "additions," they weren't bad. The chicken was cooked well, mushrooms sautéed nicely, but again everything needed seasoning.... I don't know if they just had an "off day" or were missing things to complete the experience, but this experience left me disappointed especially considering the number of people that told me to check it out. The dishes all have a lot of potential but they need help. As an experienced restaurant cook, myself I was always told by my chef to TASTE EVERYTHING. Never serve anything you haven't tasted yourself. It feels like either this staff needs a bit more attention from the chef, or they need to make sure they're tasting their individual components before plating/packing the final dish. I truly hope this was a fluke and not an everyday occurrence. As I stated before, the dishes have potential but this experience was not good. I will give them another shot at some point and will gladly update this review if things improve but I don't have high hopes. I also want to make it clear, that I'm not angry and have not been "scorned" by the restaurant in any way. This review is my honest experience when it comes to the taste and flavors (or lack thereof) of the food itself. read more

I think the ramen was really super salty. I guess I expected more since a lot of my friends hyped it up. I did like the atmosphere and the concept of making their own ramen. It's a small place so make sure you make reservations. They do not serve ramen at the bar. Ps. Parking is pretty tight so you have to stalk someone leaving. read more

This was the first time I was able to get a seat during lunch. I've tried getting food here at least 4 other times. The wait times are usually very long when there is a crowd and one reason for the 4. The meal and service I had was fantastic. It was an authentic bowl of ramen the wooden spoon was a fun touch. Yet The second reason I gave a rating of 4 stars: the broth was very salty that I contemplated not finishing. I enjoy a good umami flavor but not when I have to pour some of my ice cold water to dilute it. Plus then I was eating a luke warm bowl of ramen. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town! The service is amazing and the staff is really friendly and timely. The atmosphere is great, it can be a bit loud at times because of the music and people trying to talk over it but overall it's not bad. There is always a long line if you want to go for dinner because they don't take reservations. For lunch I've never had to wait which was great. There is a cute little outdoor area for you to relax in if the wait is extra long (I don't suggest it for people to pollen allergies like myself because it's right in the middle of a garden) but it is really beautiful and my friends love sitting out there! I usually get the curry ramen with extra bamboo shoots and it's sooooooooo delicious we also get the chicken wings which happen to be gluten free and very tasty! For drinks we get the Thai tea. It's super good and not very sugary either. My favorite thing about this restaurant is their consistency!!!! Most places are great one time and then okay another and then maybe terrible the next. Domu is ALWAYS good and their food tastes exactly the same as it did the time before. Can't say enough good things about this spot!!! read more

I really haven't seen this kind of enthusiasm for a restaurant in a long time. The bar will begin filling an hour before it opens and putting your name on the list from the start means you have to wait about an hour to get a table. It boggles my mind why this place hasn't expanded to twice the size, or many more locations. I can only assume the owner doesn't feel like making more money.. The atmosphere is lovely and intimate. It's small, but not in a cramped sort of way. The staff were eager and attentive. The food is absolutely wonderful. They offer a variety of noodle bowls, most of which were pork, but I got the chicken. My date ordered a pork dish and from the sample I had, hers was the better dish, and I don't even like pork. Not to say my curry chicken was bad, it was great. They were only like $12. The locations is conveniently next to a small farmers market plaza. This will give you something to do before or after your meal. It's a wonderful place for a date. I'm still confused why they don't charge more, expand their dining room, or have more locations. read more

I was introduced to Domu through their Instagram and knew I had to go there. The location I went to is on the east side of Orlando not too far from bumby and colonial. THEY DONT OPEN TILL 5:30 PM, No reservation no take out but honestly it's worth the wait. The first time I visited I waited about an hour but I learned that the later you go the quicker you're sat. I've been a regular for the past month lol However I got the Richie rich, which has thick slices of fatty pork, sweet corn, lots of garlic, house made noddles, hella green onions and I got some of their spicy bomb on the side (spicy bomb is in the spicy tonkatsu but not Richie rich). So flavorful, so filling, so fresh! I think about this place at work. I can't wait till their Dr. Phillips location opens. read more

We have been here several times and have t had a bad meal. Outside NY - there is no better ramen. I've tried nearly all of them on the menu. I can't pick a favorite they are all delicious. Amazing food and drinks! The ramen was the best I have had stateside for sure! I had the spicy chicken curry and it was so good and the broth was also so flavorful. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the wait is always over an hour. Once you get past that, you'll find yourself saying it was worth the wait. Richie rich is by far the best ramen I've ever had and nothing comes close to the flavors. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. read more

Had the pleasure of coming to Domu for Wine Down Wednesday ! I've visited domu many moons ago when I first moved to Orlando however at the time I wasn't as active on Yelp. So I will say next time I check in again I want to give an updated version of my review to see if the ramen is just as good as I remembered. This past visit I didn't get to do the ramen I came here for the WINE. AND LET ME JUST SAY there was PLENTY of it ! These guys get cases upon cases upon cases of wine wow ! For $15 you got bottomless wine, holiday sangria (for their holiday edition wine down) and sapporo drafts. They also had appetizers included served buffet style. Their was edamame spring rolls Mac and cheese bites and veggies with a nice dipping sauce it's usually while supplies last and it was all very tasty! My friends grabbed a table to enjoy some menu items and I was able to snag a taste of their fried wings, their corn and cheese dip, and some roasted peppers that were all to die FOR. Their appetizers here are so good !!!! I can't wait to come back once again but this time for the ramen that I miss so dearly. read more

4 words: CHICKEN WINGS GET THEM! Very hip spot with unique dishes and crafted cocktails. I love how small the dining area is because it makes for a more intimate gathering. Make sure you get there right when they open because sometimes the wait time is a tad lengthy (definitely worth the wait though)! Located at the East End Market, relaxing atmosphere, great service, excellent food. I ordered the wings and the Uni Pasta. The wings were like candy, super crunchy, and sweet and salty, they were perfect. To start for our appetizers we had the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and cheezus (cheesy roasted corn). This was the best part of our meal, SO GOOD! these two "small plates" are a must try. The chicken is crispy and tossed in a sweet chili sauce, delish! And the cheezus was cheesy corn that had a lot of flavor and mixed well with the other ingredients. For my main course, I had the "Richie Rich". The broth was too overwhelming. It did not taste good with all of the other ingredients. So much going on I couldn't really figure out the flavors, I can't really describe it. It wasn't bland, I just couldn't enjoy the flavors and it upset my stomach. And one of the others in my group had gotten the same soup and also, was not impressed being first timers. Lastly, my overall experience was okay. Great location, very hipster and I'd like to try out other places in the east end market but I would probably only come back to Domu to make my own ramen. Our server was polite, the only thing I did not like was that she didn't ask how the food was when the main course came out. I had high expectations, especially for the soup since I've heard good things but that was the most disappointing. read more

Had high hopes based on locals who love this place. Excellent mixologists with a broad range of cocktails old, new, and historic (Ramos fizz). Foodwise, Tako appy would be better without the potatoes, Szechuan cukes were ok. Domu wings TOO SWEET-- order it without the sweet sauce if you don't like dessert chicken. Crispy crunchy. Chuka ramen, again, did they drop the sugar in by accident?? Who needs sugared mushrooms? Spicy tonkatsu was overly salty. Chasu Don was the best of the bunch,( despite the sugared mushrooms), the sous vide egg worked well. Tonight's meal caused a drop in our locals' rating but it had an energetic cool vibe that would bring them back.... Especially for the cocktails. read more

Went here last night for the first time and it was absolutely outstanding. Decided to get a Kyoto Mule to drink, and it was easily the best mule i've ever had. Started off with the wings and I was in heaven. My girlfriend was eating a wing and Wyatt noticed the bone was broken and without hesitation apologized and brought a new wing over without us even noticing it. Paris also provided excellent service, and really made us feel as though we were at home. The ambience is unmatched and we will most likely be going back again. I can't recommend this spot enough! read more

What can I say about Domu. Between the delicious food and incredible atmosphere what's not to love. I have returned time and time again despite them only being such a short amount of time. The first time I went I went ahead and got the Richie Rich ramen, it was aesthetically pleasing to look at, but once i took the first sip and bite of the ramen, my mouth exploded from all the flavors that were present. The deliciously yet carefully prepared noodles were perfectly cooked, as well as all the flavors in the broth were well balanced. I was sure enough pleased from my first encounter with them that I returned a second time. For my second trip I decided to spread the word and brought 2 of my friends. I couldn't help myself from ordering the Richie Rich again, it was too good to pass up! However this time I did go ahead and grab a plate of their KFC. DO IT, GET THE KFC. It was perfectly crisp on the outside, whatever sauce they used on those wings blew my mind away, I want to keep going back and just eat the wings! Between the wings ramen and an exceptional drink menu my second visit was a complete success as my friends were also completely in love with the food. Service so far from Domu has been phenomenal, from the getting greeted immediately at the front, to getting sat rather quickly and having servers who are keenly attentive on keeping our drinks filled and making sure we had all we need, I returned for a third time last night. Last night I returned and despite my love for the Richie Rich I had to force myself to venture and try the Tokyo. It was just as flavorful, the chicken in the dish was wonderfully prepared as well as the ramen once again was perfectly cooked to deliciousness. I do however prefer the Richie Rich due to in my opinion having a 'thicker' broth to it, however that's just my preference. On this visit I went ahead and tried the Sichuan Cucumbers, I was surprised at how flavorful yet refreshing they were, they were definitely a great starter as it was a light bite before getting to my ramen. The tuna don was a perfect choice for a warm day. The dish consisted of spicy tuna served over rice and garnished with cucumbers, radish, nori, chives, and red spinach and I tasted wasabi as well. The garnishes added a fresh and textured element to the rice bowl enhancing the taste and presentation. Loved the presentation with all the colors and how organized it looks. The lychee martini was a creative twist on a classic cocktail, as it included lychee syrup and lychee-popping pearls. If you're a fan of lychee and like drinks that are subtly sweet and tart, this drink is a must-try. The Domu wings are a staple for anyone going. I went to Domu for one reason and one reason only: to get the Green Curry Wings one more time before they're gone. And honestly? They were every bit as good as I remembered! The wings were extra crispy and coated in a rich, flavorful green curry sauce that somehow manages to be comforting, bold, and completely addictive. If you're reading this before June 16, do yourself a favor and order them. While the wings were the main event, the rest of the meal was excellent too. The Tako was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, with all the different components coming together beautifully. We stopped for the happy hour, and tried two of their drinks on their menu: The Negroni & The Domu Daiquiri. I wasn't a big fan of the Negroni since it had Aperol (first time trying it). It was very well-made though. The Domu Daiquri on the other hand was so yummy and refreshing! Would definitely order this one when I go back. The pricing for the happy hour is pretty great. Cocktails are about $5-$6, and beers about $3. The service was a bit on the slower side (they took a while noticing me, and the bar was pretty empty) but you can tell they put work into the drinks. Domu is hands down still the best! I had to wait about 2 hours for a table, but it was absolutely worth it. While waiting, I ordered wings and drinks from the bar and discovered you can take them to the courtyard, which was a pleasant surprise. I also grabbed some Gideon's cookies during the wait--such a fun way to pass the time! Once inside, the atmosphere was cozy and warm, perfect for enjoying their amazing food. I ordered my go-to, the Richie Rich, and it hit the spot as always--a 10/10 dish. I also tried the Cheez-It for the first time. While my friend loved it, it wasn't really my thing. Domu is hands down one of my favorite restaurants! The service is always great and the food is phenomenal. I also really appreciate they make really good craft cocktails. I highly recommend the wings, and the Richie rich. I always try to seasonal wing flavor and it's perfect every time. The last time we went my boyfriend got two of the happy hour cocktails and he really enjoyed those! I'm always trying to plan my next visit before I even get done eating. My one tip is to get their early if you don't want a long wait. 30/45 minutes before they open a line will start forming. But it's worth it! read more

Domu truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best places for ramen in Orlando! We went to try their famous ramen and the Domu wings, which are known as the best in town and they did not disappoint. For our appetizer, we had the Domu wings, which were absolutely perfect: juicy, flavorful, and with a perfectly crispy crust. The ramen was also amazing, with the seasoning just right. It's the ideal comfort food, especially on a cold day, and Domu has officially become our favorite spot for ramen. This little ramen house is located in the East End Market. When we arrived, we were told by the hostess that the wait would be about a half hour so I decided to grab a craft cocktail which was pretty good. The real show stopper at this restaurant are the small plates. We ordered pretty much every small plate in the menu...the ones that stuck out were the KFC wings and the peppers. I ended up getting the Ritchie Rich ramen which was too sweet for my taste. Overall the ramen is pretty average. So good. So right. The KFC is what I've been waiting for in terms of Korean Fried Chicken wings...they're insanely crunchy and super saucy all at the same time...just how KFC should be. I've had both their hot and cold ramen and they are equally delicious, but I have to say that hot ramen is my preferred over two. The vibe is right inside. Nice and chill, but buzzy. Although the crowds can be a bit much, if you can get a spot at the bar, one of the tables or the couch for a drink, appetizer and maybe a game the wait time is pleasant. read more

I've visited Domu multiple times and I fully support its Michelin recommendation. The broth is rich flavor and consistently perfect house-made noodles are commendable. However, weekend waits can be excessive--unless you're a ramen enthusiast. For improvement, consider increasing staff for quicker table turnovers and simplifying the menu to enhance efficiency, perhaps focusing on three top-selling creations? Domu is an upscale Asian fusion restaurant in East End Market. I got really lucky and snagged a table here the week they opened. The vegan ramen is by far the best I've ever had. The broth has so much flavor and you can add so many other toppings to your bowl. My girlfriend and I love coming here for date night. The only problem is that getting table now is impossible and they don't take reservations. Please consider some sort of system for reservations! I would love to come here more often. read more

The service was great and fast. It did travel well as I walked back to the office. The pork was crispy and the purple rice was a really nice touch. I think usually Korean American restaurants that serve this, serve it with white rice. So I really enjoyed the purple rice. The salad was nice and came with a spicy mayo or something similar sauce. Overall, I would rate this as a 8/10. Did I mention they also sell house plants? For a pretty decent price too. While their website may not be up to date, the food was great.
