We usually get the chicken or shrimp pad Thai, green curry with chicken, tom kha gai soup, and of course, their famous and delicious Thai iced tea. Decent Thai food for the area and it is open later than a lot of the surrounding restaurants. The spice scale is pretty tame so you might want to scale up (medium was more like mild at other places). We got Pad See Ew and Pad Thai for takeout. There is a good number of vegetarian options and portions are quite large. I phoned in the order, and said all dishes should be "No Spicy" their menu term for very mild, then said it again at the end of the order. I also said it for each item ordered. Probably one of my favorite Thai spots in the area! Good ambiance with plenty of seats and prompt service. I got their chicken pad thai and veg spring rolls. Spring rolls were crispy and piping hot. Been comin here for years when I worked in the area. Hands down the best thai food in the area! We usually order the pad see ew, pad thai, pra ram gai, or some of their delicious curries. Pricing for lunch is very reasonable for the portion you receive and lunch specials come with a soup or salad. My favorite dish here has got to be the pra ram gai. Fried chicken with a peanut sauce and spinach. My mom isn't typically a fan of thai food and she killed her pad see ew lunch dish! Definitely take note that they use peanuts in their dishes in the event you have nut allergies. Upon walking in, we were seated immediately. Really cute and aesthetically appealing spot. Waiter took our order as soon as we were ready and food came out pretty fast! We first ordered the steamed vegetable dumplings. Good, simple classic. Wouldn't say it was anything special. Then we ordered a basil fried rice and a red curry. Red curry was amazing. So much flavor and so creamy and rich. Fried rice was really flavorful as well. Sometimes I find the fried rice is dry, but this was not dry at all. We got medium spice level and it was perfect. My whole family likes this restaurant a lot. We've done takeout from here a bunch of times since the pandemic started. Everything has consistently been delicious. My go-to is the Green Papaya salad because it is light and refreshing. The take out food has always been ready on time and usually it's correct. Once or twice they messed up the order a little but they apologized and corrected it. The prices are very good for the amount of food we get. I can spend less than $15 and be totally full. Today, for Father's Day, our family of four made a reservation and ate in. Our server was so friendly and sweet and wished us a happy Father's Day and ask us if we had a nice day. The ambience is really attractive and we all were saying what a nice soothing environment it was to sit in, with pleasant warm colors and paintings of Koi fish, and some nice elephant statues. The parking lot is big and free. My only caution would be that if you are spice sensitive, get something that is marked not spicy! The items on the menu that have the little chili pepper picture next to them are very spicy even when they are at the lowest spiciness level of "1". read more

Price: (5/5) I went for lunch and the prices were great, they even add a tofu soup with the entrees on the lunch menu. Food: (4/5) The spice level was good. 2 wasn't very spice, but 3 was pretty spice. We got the panaag curry that had a lot of veggies. I didn't like the tofu very much since it didn't soak the flavor. My friend and I came by to grab a quick dinner before an event in the nearby area. We ordered curry puffs, thai iced teas, pad thai, and panang curry. The service was super quick and our waitress was very kind and attentive. When we asked for extra rice to go with our curry, she quickly brought some out with no extra charge. The food was AMAZING! My family and I have always gone to Thai Lana for special occasions. Unfortunately, I have discovered that the latest take out is not of the same quality as you would experience dinning in. I ordered Massaman curry twice this week and each time it didn't taste fresh (as it did while dinning in), which led me to experience my first food poisoning incident last night. Another time when we ordered (same meals as we had while dinning in), we realized that the noodles in the take out pad tai were spaghetti like unlike the traditional flat noodles. Something is just not right with the latest take out orders. Going forward we decided not to order take out from Thai Lana. read more

When one of my friends told me that Thai Lanna was her go-to food place near Rutgers, I knew I had to try it out. On a Wednesday evening, there were only a couple tables occupied throughout our time there so it wasn't too busy. We ordered the drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice, both with chicken, to share. I particularly enjoyed the noodles in the drunken noodles, but the pineapple fried rice also did not disappoint; although I would have appreciated some more pineapple in the fried rice. At first I thought that the portion sizes looked a bit small, but they were more than enough for both of us, and we ended up having leftovers to take home. BEST HIDDEN GEM! We ordered from UberEats today. We got the pad Thai and drunken noodle lunch special. This is by far THE BEST THAI FOOD I have ever had. It was piping hot and delivery was fast. Visually it looked delicious and it smelled amazing. You can tell they use fresh ingredients especially in the tum yum soup! The soup is packed with flavor and had the perfect amount of sourness and contained a decent amount of veggies and tofu. The noodles were a good portion and very addicting! My new favorite Thai place! My roommates had been constantly talking about this restaurant so we finally went together and it did not disappoint! I ordered their chicken basil fried rice (level 3 spice) and it was packed with flavor and spiciness. I also tried their Tom Yum Goong soup, which had both the sweet and sour taste to it (will definitely be ordering that next time!) For dessert, I ordered the mango mousse cake, which was good but not worth the $8. The mango slices were fresh but the actual mousse cake was a bit frozen. In terms of ambience, I thought the size of the restaurant was small; the tables were put close together so you could hear people's conversations. I'm a fan! I've been coming here for a few months now since it opened. It's located on Easton Ave., adjacent to the Pizza Hut, that used to be in a run down strip mall, but now it's up and up! Thai Lanna is a nice Thai restaurant. It's small inside, so expect to wait during busy hours. Also to note, they close between 3:30-4:30 so order before or after that time! I've ordered their vegetarian pad Thai and their pad see ew. Their PSE is my fave! I love that you can customize it and order it without fish sauce or mushrooms! Of course I order a Thai iced tea and a sticky rice with mango! They do have other items on the menu for all, but I just love my favorites! The staff there is very nice and I've never had a problem placing an order and picking it up. They don't offer delivery to New Brunswick, but I am sure to order and pick up when I'm in Somerset. I love Thai food but I cannot have spicy food at all but if I ever ask if it can be made without the hot peppers or the other spices they will always try to accommodate me! The Massama is soo good and has great flavor with peanuts and orange squash that make it even more delicious than others that I have has! Pad Thai is very good although I really have another favorite place that puts in chicken, pork and Shrimp so I don't have to choose just one!
