We ordered takeout for our party of four adults and two children. I phoned in the order, and said all dishes should be "No Spicy" their menu term for very mild, then said it again at the end of the order. I also said it for each item ordered. The order was ready on-time and included: * VEG SPRING ROLLS (5 PCS) $10: Crispy fried rolls stuffed w/ glass noodles, cabbage, carrots served w/ our special plum sauce * DUCK SALAD $15: Sliced duck w/ apple, pineapple & cashews tossed in homemade Thai dressing (No Spicy) * PAD SEE EW $15: Sautéed flat rice noodle w/ Chinese broccoli & eggs, chicken * MASSAMAN CHICKEN $17: Massaman curry & coconut milk w/ onions, peanuts, avocado & butternut squash, chicken * MASSAMAN BEEF $17: Massaman curry & coconut milk w/ onions, peanuts, avocado & butternut squash, beef * PAD THAI $15: Stir-fried rice noodles w/ eggs, bean curd, bean sprouts, scallions & peanuts, chicken * THAI FRIED RICE: $15: Thai style fried rice w/ eggs, carrots, peas, onions & scallions, chicken The Pad See Ew was the best dish, I thought the noodles were nicely executed. The Massaman Beef and the Spring Rolls were also good. One diner liked the Massaman Chicken dish. I thought the chicken in all the dishes was tough, and that the Pad Thai was very dry. The Duck Salad was very spicy!! Nobody liked that dish, most of it remained uneaten. Overall, some good, some bad, perhaps a three-star meal.

Probably one of my favorite Thai spots in the area! Good ambiance with plenty of seats and prompt service. I got their chicken pad thai and veg spring rolls. Spring rolls were crispy and piping hot. The pad thai was very flavorful but the spice levels are inconsistent. I'd come back to try other things on the menu!

Nice cozy restaurant. Decor is warm and welcoming. Waitress was really friendly and patient with us asking all our questions. The wings were really good and the dumplings were the best my Granddaughter felt. All the meals were favorable and delicious. Thai is actually really good. Definitely will be trying more in 2025. Family and smiles with very good food. Good way to start the new year

I got the mushroom soup and pad Thai. The food was adequate but I wish the noodles were more spicy like it said on the menu. I'm a big fan of mushrooms so I liked the soup but maybe there could have been more mushrooms.

This's my first visit to this place and was there for lunch. Tried their famous Basil and Thai fried rice with chicken and veggies and I just loved em. Veg dumplings were bit bland, Chicken sate and fried wings was good. Would definitely visit this place again for their fried rice. A very well maintained Dine inn, so clean and pleasant environment. Service was good. Below are some of my captures from this place ......

Been comin here for years when I worked in the area. Hands down the best thai food in the area! We usually order the pad see ew, pad thai, pra ram gai, or some of their delicious curries. Pricing for lunch is very reasonable for the portion you receive and lunch specials come with a soup or salad. My favorite dish here has got to be the pra ram gai. Fried chicken with a peanut sauce and spinach. My mom isn't typically a fan of thai food and she killed her pad see ew lunch dish! Definitely take note that they use peanuts in their dishes in the event you have nut allergies. Pro tip: Grab yourself a sweet treat with an order of their thai iced tea or sticky mango rice!

Upon walking in, we were seated immediately. Really cute and aesthetically appealing spot. Waiter took our order as soon as we were ready and food came out pretty fast! We first ordered the steamed vegetable dumplings. Good, simple classic. Wouldn't say it was anything special. Then we ordered a basil fried rice and a red curry. Red curry was amazing. So much flavor and so creamy and rich. Fried rice was really flavorful as well. Sometimes I find the fried rice is dry, but this was not dry at all. We got medium spice level and it was perfect. Not too spicy, just the perfect amount to enjoy. Portion size is good as well. Would definitely recommend this place. Great ambiance and just delicious food!

My whole family likes this restaurant a lot. We've done takeout from here a bunch of times since the pandemic started. Everything has consistently been delicious. My go-to is the Green Papaya salad because it is light and refreshing. The take out food has always been ready on time and usually it's correct. Once or twice they messed up the order a little but they apologized and corrected it. The prices are very good for the amount of food we get. I can spend less than $15 and be totally full. Today, for Father's Day, our family of four made a reservation and ate in. Our server was so friendly and sweet and wished us a happy Father's Day and ask us if we had a nice day. The ambience is really attractive and we all were saying what a nice soothing environment it was to sit in, with pleasant warm colors and paintings of Koi fish, and some nice elephant statues. The parking lot is big and free. My only caution would be that if you are spice sensitive, get something that is marked not spicy! The items on the menu that have the little chili pepper picture next to them are very spicy even when they are at the lowest spiciness level of "1".

Generally, really liked my experience here. Ambiance: (5/5) Great seating and decor. Price: (5/5) I went for lunch and the prices were great, they even add a tofu soup with the entrees on the lunch menu. Food: (4/5) The spice level was good. 2 wasn't very spice, but 3 was pretty spice. We got the panaag curry that had a lot of veggies. I didn't like the tofu very much since it didn't soak the flavor. The drunken noodles were really good as well. They come with a lot of veggies, but I had the same issue with the tofu. It also wasn't crispy. Service: (5/5) Ordered over the phone and the food came out quickly.

    Chicken frying with feather

Unfortunately, my meal was ruined because the fried wings had feathers. I contacted support and received a refund.

I'm not sure why I haven't checked out this place earlier! I LOVEDDDD my experience here and will definitely be back again. My friend and I came by to grab a quick dinner before an event in the nearby area. We ordered curry puffs, thai iced teas, pad thai, and panang curry. The service was super quick and our waitress was very kind and attentive. When we asked for extra rice to go with our curry, she quickly brought some out with no extra charge. The food was AMAZING! We left completely satisfied with were so impressed with how great the portions were and how delicious all the food was. I love Thai food so much and this is definitely the best in the area -- 10/10 recommend!!

Thai iced tea. Rich tea flavor but bit too sweet for me.

Somerville is an area we had never explored before, and while searching on Google, we found many good restaurant options. We finally decided to try Origin French Thai. All day it rained heavily, and by 7:30 PM it had become quite dark. Finding parking was a little difficult. Even though there is a municipal parking lot right next to the restaurant, getting a spot still took some time. One thing we really liked was the whole downtown vibe. The streets on both sides are closed for cars, and people can sit outside along the sidewalks, which gives the area a nice European-style atmosphere (though it was raining that day) We had a reservation booked already (highly recommended), and we got a comfortable couch table in the back section overlooking the restaurant. The ambience was really nice -- dim lighting with an Asian-inspired theme. They also have another seating section inside, so the place is actually bigger than it looks in some photos. We ordered: * Tom Yum Goong Soup - Easily one of the best Tom Yum soups I've ever had. After such a rainy day, it felt extra comforting and satisfying. 5/5 * Noodle Curry Shrimp - Crispy noodles soaked in gravy with shrimp pieces and a red coconut cream-based curry. Absolutely delicious. 5/5 * Red Curry Chicken - The gravy felt somewhat similar to the noodle curry dish to me, but it was still really flavorful and enjoyable. 4/5 Overall, the entire experience was wonderful. The food truly made the evening special and created a memorable birthday dinner for us. If I'm ever passing through this area again, I would definitely come back.

The ambiance is very pleasing and it is also an ideal spot for a date night. Chicken Satay: The grilled chicken skewers came with a cup of peanut dipping sauce. I had a gut instinct that I was going to g to enjoy peanut butter flavored sauce with the chicken because I previously explored a similar chicken entrée at another restaurant. The chicken was tender and juicy. Although I really enjoyed this plate, I would have preferred to have it without the skewers because I don't feel they are necessary. Pineapple Fried Rice: This rice plate was so fulfilling it practically ate like a meal. It included nuts, mixed vegetables, and mini tofu squares. It was well seasoned with the perfect amount of heat. Although I chose "medium" heat, it was still very spicy. For this reason, I am reluctant to make it any spicier. I was more than satisfied and in looking forward to exploring more dishes. #nthaipalace #pineapplefriedrice #chickensatay #thaicuisine #njthaicuisine #somersetnj

The dishes were bursting with flavor and they had some Thai street food as well which I enjoyed. Service was great. Ambiance was....ok - from the outside it looks like a normal restaurant and inside they decorated it really really well. I wouldn't say fine dining but definitely a nice hole in the wall type place. We got the following: Phuket Appetizer for 2 - included 2 chicken satay (delicious), 2 curry puffs (good, but I don't like potato so meh for me), noodle salad (SO good), 2 vegetable spring rolls (decent) Sautéed noodles Phuket style- honestly didn't know what I was expecting but they definitely taste very street food style and I really enjoyed them. They're very different from the regular Thai noodles. Green curry- spicy but tolerable and tasty!! If you're not really a spice person, would not recommend. It came with white rice Thai Fried Rice - I tasted like an onion and tomato roast base in this. Typically fried rice I feel is a bit drier but here it was not saucy but there was something in there that made the rice burst with flavor. Matcha yuzu- def recommend! A nice light fizzy drink. Majority of the taste is matcha Dessert- I really wanted to try one from their vast menu but I was sooooo full from the rest of the meal. Maybe next time :)
