BOGO on tacos - tried the tripas, carnitas & barbacoa tacos. Carnitas was def my fav, they have an awesome after school menu for kids too.

Rice and beans are tasty, the servers brought the food out fast and timely, and the salsas were also very good. The Birria taco is HUGE. Very good w the dipping broth.

I noticed the new Don Chepe location several weeks ago, and decided to see what is up, and stopped in today for lunch. There is quite a large menu with options from Mexican food to burgers and fries. Most of the menu is Mexican Food. The restaurant itself is nondescript with zero personality because the location has housed quite a number of different businesses over the years. I ordered the "Bowl" with Carne Asada, which is a combo platter in a bowl. It looked great and was larger than what I was expecting. Unfortunately, there is not anything more that I can say about it. The bowl comes with the usual suspects; rice, beans, guac, lettuce and your choice of meat. What was lacking in my bowl was flavor. It was a bland as bland could be. My other gripe is that the lettuce is combined with the hot foods, instead of being on the top. No outdoor seating. Masks are not required. Staff is not wearing masks in a high COVID area. A bit pricey for the area. Bland food. I'm sorry to say that Don Chepe is a one and done for me.

Oh wow! This place is delicious. This is authentic Mexican food. I'm a shrimp tacos kinda guy and this place has excellent shrimp tacos. The corn tortilla of my Taco had fried cheese in it with fresh salsa, grilled shrimp and red cabbage. I love that I could also taste a hint of garlic in the rice. My wife and I will definitely be coming here again!

loved it here. came mid day and ate. very spacious area and plenty seating. very nice employees and delicious food for reasonable prices. burrito was delicious and worth the price. horchata can use some work but it's okay burrito made up for it. tacos were okay pretty simple. nice guac though. they have a variety of mexican snacks up front as well as candy. definitely stop by if you're feeling some good mexican food.

Really good ceviche tostadas and sope! Everything was good but the ceviche really stands out. Horchata was good too!! And I read some reviews about the customer service but I had great customer service. I shouldn't grabbed her name. All this food and 2 large drinks for $47!!! The place was rlly clean and has pretty Mother's Day decor up.

I came in for the first time today to try this place out. Being local and picky of Mexican food, I had to try something new. My first experience was not good. As soon as I walked in the AC was not on. It was hotter inside than outside. Second I noticed a microwave in the kitchen which scared me at first but then I told myself. Just try it. The last was the worst, my fries weren't fried in a deep fryer. They were microwaved. I also bought my kids tacos which were good looking but was disappointed to see them microwaved as well after she cooked the meat. I probably won't ever eat here again. I hope this review helps others

I was craving menudo on a Monday evening and found this place. Ordered to go, absolutely delicious and authentic! With home made tortillas and everything. Cured my pregnancy craving, I won't go anywhere else in Tulare for menudo now.

This struck us as odd but they do provide free water. You either have to buy the bottle of water or charged for the cup that you then can get water from the soda dispenser. Husband said the rice & beans were good. I had the breakfast burrito that was good size and tasty. Debating about coming back. They also have Coke products.

We tried a quesabirria taco, carne asada tacos(come with guac!!), tacos barbacoa, and tacos al pastor. All were very good. We got the consommé with the quesabirria which we didn't really need but tasty if you like consommé. Our favorites ended up being the al pastor for the flavor and carne asada is solid. Barbacoa tacos were packed with meat. Green and red salsas available red is a bit smoky but our favorite was the fireroasted green. We got limes as well but something on the peel smelled string of a cleaner or disinfectant. Each taco is about $3 pretty good for the amount of food and toppings. Hope they do well!

Really good and their pozole menudo and birria is apparently made fresh every morning. Which is a rarity.

The service is always great!…read more We went with my mother in Law. We all like this place. And the food. They sat us right away and they took our drinks order. We got coffee, strawberry lemonade, and fountain drink. When the drinks arrived they took the food order. It was an open face turkey sandwich, a Bacon Cheddar Burger, and avocado toast. My mother in law opted for dessert only so she had a banana cream pie. The food came out in a very decent time. We were chatting so we felt that it came pretty quick. The Burger was crispy and juicy. With the fries it was very filling. The turkey sandwich was so good. My husband loves it. He order the same thing every time we come. He mentions the turkey tastes freshly made. The avocado toast was very yummy. I added the sauce they have. They have different spicy leves so they called it baby bear for the mild momma bear for the middle spicy and the papa bear for the very spicy one. I love that one. It has some seasoning that makes it even better. The coffee it's always freshly brewed. My daughter loves the strawberry Lemonade they add some fresh strawberries. The ambiance it's very familiar. There were a birthday celebration and.they were singing happy birthday to them. I got excited and clap with them. So nice and inviting.

Okay, look. First of all, they serve your soda in actual, full-sized mason jars. Which I am…read morepersonally obsessed with, because nothing gives me a baseline level of panic quite like having to make awkward eye contact with a server every four minutes just to beg for a refill. So having a massive jar of soda already right in front of me? Huge win. Now, moving on to the slightly traumatizing part: they did not bring out bread to the table. Excuse me? I'm sorry, but if I am sitting down for Italian, table bread is not an optional courtesy--it is a fundamental human right. And it became an even bigger issue when my fettuccine arrived, because the portion size was... let's just say aggressively small for a dinner entree. I was expecting a meal, not a decorative sample. However... it was infuriatingly good. They make their own pasta fresh in-house, and the texture was honestly undeniable. My husband ordered the Margherita pizza, and he literally declared--with complete, uncharacteristic enthusiasm--that it was hands-down the best Margherita pizza he has ever gotten. So, massive points there. What was not a massive point, however, was the subterranean seating situation. We were escorted downstairs into the basement, which was pitch black. But more importantly: the stairs are completely unlit. I'm sorry, but they are actively asking to get sued. It is a litigious nightmare waiting to happen. Someone is going to take one wrong step in the dark, tumble down that staircase, and own the entire restaurant by next Tuesday. They are practically begging for a lawsuit. That being said... despite the pitch-black staircase of death and the tragic lack of dinner rolls, overall? I really liked it. The food completely won me over, and I would definitely go back. I will just be bringing a flashlight and my own emergency focaccia next time.
