Our event (company picnic) was scheduled within a week and although it was short notice Frank worked with us. We booked him and they came early to set up and had all their own professional set up. The tacos and service were amazing! We had mouthwatering Asada, Al Pastor & Chicken tacos as well as quesadillas, rice, beans, chips, salsas and related condiments. Frank and his son came an hour early to setup up the taco cart and salsa table as well as to cook the wonderful food. Once cooked, the food was served based on each guest's wishes. This makes me sad to write as I am not one to write a bad review, but I was pretty disappointed be because I was excepting good service based off all the good reviews on here, I hired frank for my baby shower for a total of 60 guest which he said would include tacos and quesadillas (3 meats) we booked serving to start from 4:00-6:00, unfortunately most of my guest did not show up, and everyone who did showed up after 5:00 pm and some of my guest were being told he didn't have enough meat left over, I don't understand how that was even possible. . Also he told them there was no quesadillas just tacos, I have all the text messages from him with what was suppose to be included. , and to top it off most people complained that he seemed a bit rude which was so weird since he was so nice over then phone, one of my guest arrived at 5:50 pm and did not get to eat because everything had been picked up already for him to go, wasn't the ending time at 6:00? Meaning you serve the last plate at 6:00 and then pack to go home not pick up everything before and leave right at 6:00 pm, but hey we live and learn! I booked them for a Holiday event our office was having and the experience was delightful and very satisfactory. They are punctual, quick to set up and the best part, their food is AMAZING. The entire staff would not stop raging on how tasty the entire selection was. We chose to have 3 meat selections (asada, pastor and chicken) rice, beans, a salsa bar as well as 2 aguas frescas. I'll start by saying the food is really good and Frank is very responsive to coordinate bookings. So why the 1 star... We paid $425 plus tip for 40-45 guests. In my experience that usually allows 4-5 tacos per guest (since the tortillas are small like a street taco). Our final head count was 33 adults (+6kids but the kids ate pizza). This means I should have had enough meat left over for the 12 people we paid for but didn't show (that should be enough meat for 48-60 tacos). Service time was 6:30-8:30. When my hubby & uncle arrived at 8, they only had chicken left. Frank did offer to cook up additional pastor which was appreciated but even with the extra meat cooked we didn't have the equivalent of 48 tacos left. If you book, expect to have plenty of rice, beans and salsa left over but very small amounts of meat meat and know his pricing is more accurately based on 2 at most 3 small tacos per person (the tortillas were about 3 inches in diameter). For the record I did reach out to Frank prior to writing this review and he did not believe he had done anything wrong. He said it was "out of his control if guests had 3-8 tacos" and not willing to refund any portion of the overcharge. read more

I hired Don Pancho's Taquiza to cater a gathering for 100+ people at a park on a Saturday afternoon. The tacos were a definite hit. We offered 3 meats with rice and beans. The all the food was delicious and there was enough for 2nds and 3rds. The condiments were nicely displayed and properly covered. I liked that the appearance was professional and clean. The reservation process was easy, straight forward and handled professionally. Our city requires a special insurance add on which of course requires more effort. I really appreciated his positive attitude and willingness to go through the trouble to file the insurance because it definitely wasn't easy. Also, during set up, the wind made it difficult to cook the food. Again loved the professional and positive attitude displayed while facing the added challenge. These tacos and Frank made the night! I checked out several taco services, and Don Pancho's Taquiza was by far the best option for a party I was throwing. Frank was punctual, a great communicator leading up to the party, accommodating to the tricky parking situation in my community, and personable and friendly to hang with at the event. He set up, cooked, and cleaned up his station without any hassle or issues. He was so easy to work with! At the event, everyone loved the tacos and went back for seconds, thirds, fifths (or, in the case of my boyfriend, fifteenths). We ordered chicken, asada, and shrimp. Everything was delicious, with the shrimp being the most requested tacos of the night. And even better, the leftovers are ours to keep! To sum up, it couldn't have been better. We sought him out after my mother-in-law booked a much more expensive vendor that had no sides and limited our guests to 2 tacos each! This actually makes me sad to write because i had such high expectations for my event. Although Frank did arrive on time and called the day before to confirm-everything after that was a disaster. I had ordered tacos for 50 people-40 adults and 10 kids. 43 people ended up showing for the birthday party (TOTAL)....set up was at 2 and food was from 3-5. By 4pm, carne asada and al pastor was gone. Only chicken was left. EXCUSE ME?????? Rice was super salty and the taco bar was sad. Barley any onions or cilantro. Luckily i got to try the meat which did have good flavor but my guests didn't even get to try them all :( Chips were put out but they were so oily....I didn't even eat them and brought out my own chips. Then, Frank told my mom he had cooked for up to 60 people which was a total lie being that we had 10 kids, meaning 33 adults. I had even spoke to them the day before to make sure i had ordered enough food. Then, none of the salsa or chips were left for us.....he packed everything up and took off faster than I've ever seen.....which makes me wonder....are you reusing all of these chips and salsas for other parties????? YUCK! Unfortunately, my parents had to go buy more meat and cook for the guests that barely got to eat 1 taco. Honestly, i am thinking of starting my own company if this is the kind of service that is out there. You're better off hiring your cousins-sisters-uncles brother to feed your party.
