We went to Don Peppers on Saturday night and I have to say I think it's the best Mexican Restaurant I have been too. I had the enchilada combo with chicken and it was awesome. After great Margaritas, chips, Salsa and cheese dip I could only eat half my meal! My wife had the tacos and they were great. She also brought some home. Prices were very fair. I wanted to like this place but the server was rude and inattentive to our party of 7 diners. He (the server) slammed down the glasses of our beverages every time he served us. I ordered the Nachos Grande ($13.99) and what I received was one layer of chips with the next layer being beef strips and the next layer was melted cheese. There was NO lettuce, refried beans, sour cream or guacamole. When I inquired about what I was looking at , the server asked me if I wanted it "Supremo?l I told him that I wanted a normal looking Nachos Grande plate with all the trimmings. He complied by returning with what looked like a standard Nachos meal. Additionally, he was stingy with the chips and salsa refill throughout our meal. All in all, this restaurant was high on ambiance but low on customer service! The food is decent. Nothing incredible! We went for Cinco de Mayo. Unfortunately it was raining so the outside activates were not happening. There was a little wait to get our seat, but once we were seated the service was good. I think the salsa is the best I've ever had. We had margaritas which were great. They had free Jell-O shots for today and they didn't scrimp on the alcohol. Food were large portions and so tasty. The environment was festive and they passed out beads and mustaches. Live music in the bar. Would definitely go back next time I'm in town. read more

I've seen this place quite a few times driving by. Very good. Hit the place early so it was happy hour. 2 for 1 beers I had the fish tacos and they were very tasty and filling. Great experience! Great waiter! We have an annual family vacation and it's very hard to find places where we can all sit together. I called at 4pm and asked if they could accommodate 17 people. The response was what time? and I said 7pm and he said sure! And seemed happy about it. When we got there everything was ready no waiting. Well we used to love this place but lately the quality of food as well as service have been less than satisfactory. Tonight we were served our normal order, we never deviate, but our fajita double came out as a fajita single. Our regular server shrugged his shoulders at us and said "oh well". Well that "Oh well" cut me the wrong way. I mean seriously?? We've been coming here for 14 years and never been treated like this. So that nonchalant shrug cost him... Then he goes to the kitchen and tells them to grill us some more veggies for our fajita double and brings them to the table. Everything looks good at that point. We're digging in and I come up with a fork of dish towel strings!!! From the midst of my veggie fajita! WTF?!? So our server sees me pulling it up out of the food and rushes to the table grabbing it from me and runs to the back. Now I got no proof of what I just found on my fucking meal. And he didn't tell the manager or say sorry or anything. I lost my appetite and he's lost a regular well tipping (over 30%) customer. And those Christmas bonuses we used to give him....
