Found this place walking and it didn't disappoint! Best Peruvian rotisserie chicken I've had, and that's saying something in the land of Astoria. I like white meat, it wasn't dry in the least bit. Juicy, tender and full of flavor! Even the bones had seasoning. Anticucho Especial (Beef heart skewers) were good, not my favorite. The potatoes that come with the dish though were delicious. The sangria and margarita were so good and made well. The vibe of this place was nice and the bathroom was clean. Service was great, they checked in on us often to see if we needed anything. The food was decent but unfortunately on of my associates order was incorrect. We attempted to explain the order was wrong but weren't able to inform our server that there was a mistake. We ordered a complete meal on the 4th of July as a BBQ was out of the question with the weather. It was the perfect alternative. Excellent chicken and we loved the sauces, plantains. Only criticism would be the salchipapas needed more hot dogs. read more

We were too hungry to remember taking any pictures. Service was excellent. Restaurant is inviting and bright, until the evening and then they dim the lights and it looks really cool. Food was delicious! I had the Lomo Salteado and it was amazing. Not overly oily or salty. My husband had a salad and Churrasco. He said it was really well seasoned and the salad was fresh. I really enjoyed both sauces with my preferred being the aji verde sauce. The cilantro and peppers really came to life with this dish. My only complaint is that there was a Yelp check-in offer to redeem a free beverage. The worker AND manager claimed they didn't know what it was and refused to honor it. The one thing I wasn't completely happy with was the anticucho as it is meant to be a thick cut of meat (heart) and it was just very thinly cut which takes away from From the experience. The service could be faster but I take the slow service in exchange of a delicious ceviche & papá a la huancaina. The drinks are pretty good too and they have a lunch special that I personally really enjoy. Food is still consistently great. Good portions of protein in each dish, cooked very well. Service can be slow, especially for takeout. Have received things lukewarm, next to something piping hot that was clearly just cooked, after over an hour wait. The employees work very hard and fast, but seem to be often understaffed. We continue to return when not in a rush, but I think you have to be ready to wait. I hope they set the staff up for success with more help where possible. read more

Ordered for pick up on a Saturday for dinner and was not disappointed. The Arroz Con Mariscos was delicious and so plentiful, not too salty and definitely mouth watering. Also had the cheese empanada, beef empanada and guava/cheese empanada combo which was very good. My girlfriend had the nazca, and the chicken was basically coming off the bone, so good. Came here with the gf just a few nights ago and decided to write this up since we passed by Don Pollo and are already planning our next visit. I got the ceviche mixto and asked them to make it extra spicy, the gf got the Churrasco. Both plates were to die for! The steak was cooked medium and had such amazing flavor on it. It must've been marinated for hours in garlic and a few other spices cause that thing was bangin'! Her pasta was amazing, cooked to perfection and I can't say enough about how great that pesto sauce was. My only recommendation for those looking to try the ceviche is that if you're coming hungry is that you should get a side of white rice. The food is reality good, especially the Green sauce & rotisserie! the friendliness top notch. The prices-a bit high for take out. The cost for half a chicken is 6 times the cost for a whole one at Costco. But i understand the restaurant industry is struggling Remembering to put everything in the bag? Needs improvement. This is the second time I've ordered & something was forgotten. There always apologetic & compensate with something extra, which I'm glad. But some o can't always turn around & come right back, this is an issue To fix that, you have to have a habit of checking off with a pen, each item, as you put it in the bag. Came here for cheese empanadas because I was craving them. Ordered them and they ended up being cheese and guava although they menu says it's just cheese. Why not put that in the menu?
