I've had lunch here several times as I live in the area. Inkan is a pretty nice, dependable place for a lunch in LIC. I usually get the 1/4 chicken combo which comes with a side, for which I usually get the yucca fries. The food is quite good! I enjoy the fries a lot in particular. I also like that the place has both and indoor and outdoor seating option, though last time I sat outside I was harassed by wasps and it took a while to flag someone down to get the check . Still, I'd definitely recommend the place overall as the lunch combo is affordable and the food is nice and healthy.
On a quiet Tuesday night, I needed to plant myself down for a moment to chill after a long day of running around. I was famished and had been talking about Peruvian food a lot recently. So when I did a search for food in the area and Inkan came up, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to try them. There are so many LIC gems it's going to take me forever to get to them all. A small space with a fun vibe. I sat at the bar since I was eating solo. I was given a bowl of chips and the very famous, super delicious green sauce. I then ordered the garlic chicken empanadas and the chaufa de pollo. I love chaufa so much and this one surpassed my expectations. The chicken was super flavorful. The was so much it took me three days to eat (of course I took home my leftovers). And the empanadas were made to perfection. I can't express more how much I loved this meal. The two women who were working there were nice and let me be. They ushered out door dash orders while I enjoyed my meal. And enjoyed is an understatement. Can't wait to come back here!
Random Inkan getaway spot in LIC! Definitely a change of pace from all the asian spots in LIC. Vibes were really cute, there's a nice backyard patio with string lights and music from a speaker. The service is quite slow though, there were maybe a total of 10 parties and 2 wait staff, and they were nice but quite slow and forgetful every step of the way. We ordered calamari and they were so slow and difficult to flag down we ended up eating it with our hands. I thought the calamari was just okay (I like calamari where the squid is more apparent which this one didn't feel like it had) and they didn't have rotisserie chicken. However, the mains we ended up ordering were really good though. Both the steak and seafood were really fresh and well cooked, and I feel like I got a very large portion of seafood for the price I paid. Overall pros: - very cute / vibey spot - food was generally really good + good value - staff was friendly Overall cons: - really slow - didn't have all the items Would still come back to check out the chicken sometime!
Great value with price and portions. We both ordered individual plates: (1) 1/4 chicken rotisserie with (3) sides avocado/mashed potatoes/sweet plantains and (1) Chicken chiccarones with (2) sides rice/sweet plantains. There was no wait for a table on a Saturday night....right off the 7 train @ court square. Prompt and friendly enough greeting and service as we were the only ones there. Ordered a Modelo and Guanabana juice (which was fresh without the overload of sugar). While you wait, you can tell the chips are homemade there and love their jalapeño dip...addicting. Generous portions which I loved. My chicken rotisserie was justtt short of being dry, but the overall flavor was flavorful. Great mashed potatoes flavor. The sweet plantains were a bit oily...perhaps a bit more sugar would be great, but they were big! It was the only piece on my plate I was not able to finish. Everything was affordable unlike spending an arm & leg at some of the NYC restaurants. Also love the space heater in the bathroom lol! Will definitely come back.
We've been wanting to try this place for a couple years and don't know why it took us soooo long to finally made it. Now I know we have been missing out! Nice vibe, dim & warm ambiance, friendly staffs and good food. We had dinner twice in two weeks and I love their tasty, juicy and tender Rotisserie Chicken! I also really like the Palta Rellena (stuffed avocado with shrimp, quinoa) appetizer. Definitely plan on coming back again to try other items on the menu!
Inkan is a great place in LIC for lunch or that great date night spot! The prices are inexpensive for this area, and the service is cool and swift. The food is fantastic, tasty chicken, and delicious sides. The atmosphere is chill and they have a back yard you can enjoy as well
Came here for lunch and had the lunch special. We tried the Peruvian chicken and the fried chicken. Great deal for lunch. The green sauce was delicious with a slight avocado taste. Ordered the pisco sour and it was definitely made with fresh lime juice. Service was super attentive.

A good local Peruvian restaurant ! My boyfriend and I dined here on the later side of a Thursday evening after work. The portions are large and they have dependably good Peruvian food. I got the 1/4 chicken with 3 sides - the yellow rice and beans (which.... was fantastic. I don't know what they put in those beans but they were SOOO good). Even the rice was good! - plantains: they give a TON of plantains. I had enough for a leftovers lunch. - salad: it was much needed since I wanted some fresh veggies. The chicken itself was really flavorful! My boyfriend got the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides - the green rice, that must have been cooked with cilantro. It was really delicious as well, and fried yucca, which also is generous portions. The place itself is very casual, and seems like a local family-friendly spot. There is some outdoor seating in the back, which we didn't see ourselves, but saw people walking in and out of. We didn't try the cocktails, but hopefully next time. The service was also pretty good.
Finally got to try this place! I had the half chicken with fries and the calamari to start. The chicken was tender and juicy, full of flavor. The calamari was also pretty good. I was surprised at how large the portions were considering their prices. Definitely great value. The mango juice was also really good. Would come back here again.
Really solid peruvian chicken - meat was succulent and skin was crisp and flavorful. Portion of sides is also extremely generous considering the price. The white and green sauce taste freshly prepared even if I have no clue what they are. Staff were very kind and attentive but didn't have the best english explaining some of the other menu items.
Came here for a casual meal on the weekend around 2p. Not many people in the restaurant so we did not have to wait. The server was super sweet and helped us understand the menu. The ambience was nice as it wasn't too crowded, but also was a well-decorated space (we went around halloween time). I ordered ceviche, which I always do whenever a restaurant has them, it was good overall, loved the lemon sauce, didn't blow me away but it was something I would get again. The chicken platter (forgot the actual name) was really good though! The chicken was really flavorful and so were the potato slices. Overall would definitely come again!
Came here with a few friends on a weekend evening for dinner. Surprisingly there weren't a lot of people there which was nice so it wasn't really loud. We ordered the below dishes and the food came out pretty quick. The lomo saltado and beef fried rice were super tasty. Everything was definitely super seasoned. Definitely recommend this Peruvian place if you're craving the cuisine in LIC.

Came here for a casual dinner to celebrate my partner's birthday. Erica was so lovely from the get go! The service really makes you feel at home.The food was fantastic, everything came out quickly and was very fresh. We'll definitely be back! read more
Their Happy hour is 10/10, great cocktails for a great price! They gave chips and salsa for every table. Their cheese empanada was heavy and massive for the $5 price. Look at that cheese pull!! Happy hour is in the attached picture, but ranges from $5 beers to $9 cocktails. This place has been on my radar for years and just never got around to it, but meeting up with some friends, one of which lived around Court Square, the opportunity finally presented itself. The Inkan seems like it's actuall a pretty huge venue (with some areas just not in use, at least at the time we came by), with a nice outdoor space too. It's staffed lean and mean, so that has the possibility of being an issue at times, but we didn't have any real issues. In terms of food, it's pretty reasonably priced Peruvian cuisine. It seems to specialize in roasted chicken, so we all opted for various versions of that - I landed on the 1/2 chicken with two sides (beans and salad, avocado extra) For drinks, we decided to keep it authentic with some Peruvian beer, and I landed on Cusquena, a decent crisp lager. For the food, the chicken was tender and very nicely seasoned, pretty damn good - and I'm not one to usually order chicken when eating out. I was a little a bit disappointed in the beans side, just for size purposes, as the other guys that ordered the 'rice and beans' side, got the same portion of beans as me, but also the rice lol. But the beans were very good, and the salad was decently sized, especially with the added avocado (needless to say, I had some of this to-go/wrapped). Another friend got Salchipapas, which we all communally devoured. Cute, solid, bang-for-your-buck spot with some good eats. I'll try and have to work this into my rotation. Oh, and like many others have said - get some of that green sauce. read more

Great Peruvian food here, and you get a great bang for your buck! We came to celebrate a birthday here and the waiter was very accommodating. They give you freshly made nachos with the amazing green sauce when you first sit. So good - we had two rounds! For the appetizer, we shared the Ceviche Classico. It was so perfect - the fish was fresh and the lime juice paired well with the spice. For the main entrees, I got the Tallerin Verde with meat. While the portion of meat was pretty small and very thin, I would get this again. My fiancé got the Personal Jalea. It was big enough for two people! While the dish mainly had calamari, and only a couple shrimps thrown in with two mussels, the yuca fries were a nice touch. We also had salchipapas (can't ever go wrong with ordering these) as well as a very juicy tres leche cake. Would go here again! read more

Just stopped in here after walking by it a million times and decided to enjoy an outdoor lunch on this beautiful day. The waitstaff is excellent, seated me promptly and were at my table in no time taking my order. I sat in their charming outdoor patio and loves the murals and layout. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with 2 sides (salad and tostones). The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The tostones may actually be the best I have ever tasted in my life (and i grew up in a Puerto Rican household) and the mojo used for the tostones and salad dressing was amazing. I could honestly put that on everything i eat for the rest of my life. The Peruvian beer, Cristal complimented the meal so well and gave me a much needed cool down. I skipped out on dessert but the selections sounded amazing. I will certainly be back soon. They also advertise their Happy Hour a lot and it looks incredible too! read more

This is an amazing, shareable, and casual spot for some delicious food! We were craving something hearty and crunchy, and we came across Thai spot on Google maps. They were so welcoming as soon as we walked in, especially since this is not an overcrowded spot on a Thursday night. The portion for the calamari and sides are huge, and the prices are more than reasonable! We had so many leftovers, and I didn't break the bank for good quality food. There was a new employee starting and my manager wanted us to have a team lunch. She asked for suggestions and I found that The Inkan was nearby. We made reservations and when we arrived, we were seated promptly. For appetizers, we shared calamari and it came with a dipping sauce which was delish. We also ordered a round of sangria. For the entrees, one of my colleagues and I ordered the lomo saltado, the other two colleagues ordered ¼ chicken with sides. The lomo saltado was delicious and it reheated well. We all enjoyed our meals. I definitely recommend The Inkan. read more

Now this has to be a long review lol So I came here based on the reviews and I love Peruvian chicken. For starters we got here for happy hour drinks for $8. I had the Caipirinhas and my friend had a mango margarita. Both delicious and strong. 2nd round I had the passion margarita and she a mojito pictured below again delicious. My only complaint is the service was slow and the place was empty thats why I gave them 4 stars sadly. But the food let's talk about the food baby... We both ordered the quarter chicken with rice and beans she had maduros aka plantains she loved them. I had fried yucca which I drizzled with the garlic sauce provided OMGGGGGG! So good! The chicken was perfectly roasted and seasoned to perfection DIDNT need the green sauce but who comes to a Peruvian spot and not get the green sauce. Now the rice and beans Sabroso tambien not salty perfect . I will definitely come back again and order the same exact meal. The food definitely outweighed the service. Go visit you won't be disappointed at ALL! read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for a long time so I'm surprised that I didn't try out this little Peruvian restaurant before. I think they relatively recently bought up the adjacent space that includes outdoor seating. Either way, the food is great as was the friendly service. You get a very good amount of food for what you pay for (1/2 chicken with 2 sides was $19 and there was a decent amount remaining for delicious leftovers). I highly recommend getting the green sauce (although note that it costs $4 extra) and putting it on everything. Was a bit surprised to see that there's an additional 4% charge if you're paying by credit card which was unavoidable (who carries cash these days?). That aside, I'll still be coming back here for a bite, especially to sit outside when the weather warms up. read more

Finally came in person and had a great dinner here. My boyfriend had a pisco sour, and I tried the frozen pina colada. We then shared the green green salad and Jalea personal. The chicken is definitely the better meal here, and probably what I'll continue to order for takeout/delivery, but I'm glad I tried these other dishes. Friendly service and cute patio! read more
