Came here with a reservation for three and ended up squeezed into a two-top with an extra chair for the entire dinner. Not exactly what you'd expect at this price point. We asked to be moved early on. The table behind us -- a four-top -- had a party of three, and when they left I asked if we could take it. Server said wait for the manager. Manager never showed. The table went to a walk-in party of three instead, no one ever came back to us. When I went to find the manager myself, things went downhill fast. He brushed off our request, said everyone was seated the same way, and when I pushed back, threw in a "Do you understand?" mid-conversation that was anything but friendly. Ended by telling us we could leave if we weren't happy, then walked off to "attend to other guests." We were paying customers with a valid reservation making a completely reasonable request. The way we were handled was dismissive at best, rude at worst. Food was fine. Service from the floor staff was okay. But the manager single-handedly made this a one-star experience.

I have had Peruvian food before but Mission Ceviche takes the cuisine to another level. Walking into a very lively restaurant with nice blue lighting and live plants, we were greeted by the host and seated by the beautiful bar area. Started with the braised avocado guacamole with a side of plantain tostones, fried plantain fritters, the guacamole was mild, and velvety delicious. The ceviche was nicely plated with the different seafood, mahi mahi, octopus, fried shrimp and a stone crab claw separated in clusters in the marinade of citrus juice and peppers covered with shredded pickled onions waiting for a spoon. For the main, had the short ribs on a bed of delicious braised canary beans topped with roasted carrots. The portion size of the braised short ribs was so generous that I had to take half of it home. The servers were very attentive and great at cleaning the table and bringing a new set of silverware for the main course. Definitely will return to try some of the other ceviche's and mains.

The food at Mission Ceviche is very delectable! The ceviche is great as expected but the Chinese-Peruvian fusion dishes are also very good and a great addition to the menu! Though I will say perhaps skip the dessert. I liked that the desserts weren't too sweet but I thought they weren't as great compared to the main food items. Interior is great for a date night or special meal. The spot is quite busy and very full on weekends so service was just ok and not as attentive but the food is the shining star.

Great experience! Honestly, I really don't have any complaints about this meal. Starting with the food we had the ceviche sampler which were all really good with the classic being my favorite. But the other two were good as well. Then we had the filet mignon sushi roll, which is not something I would have ever thought to order but the table wanted it and I have to say it was one of the best bites I've had in a minute. It's honestly a must get in my opinion. For mains we had the Bronzino, which was to die for. It was truly one of the best Bronzino's I've had in a while and I am a Bronzino connoisseur. We also had the paella which was very good as well. Service was impeccable. Our waiter could not have been more friendly and was attentive. It did take a bit to get a waiter to come to our table, but after that zero complaints whatsoever. Ambience is super casual. It's one of those places where you could make it a nice meal, but you could also show up in jeans and a T-shirt and be totally fine. Overall mission ceviche will be a new staple for me and I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

I came here for restaurant week and I think that's all I needed to just try a bit of their delicious food. The spot gives Tulum vibes with their forest decorations and house music. Also full disclaimer, there are a couple dishes with raw fish. I had the Torched Salmon, Branzino and the tres leche for dessert! If you are a texture person, you will have a ball here! And I want to say that the tres leche was SO SO SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD. The presentation was A1. Our server's name was Mateo and he was super nice and funny! We sat in the back and even though it wasn't as esthetic as the front we enjoyed being able to talk and laugh. I don't see myself coming here again, but I had a lot of fun tasting the yummy food and chit chatting with some college friends.

This was only the second ceviche class the restaurant has hosted, and I can already tell it's going to be a huge success for them. It exceeded our expectations. The class lasted nearly two hours, during which the executive chef walked us through the history of ceviche in Peru, traditional Peruvian ceviche and its flavors, and then guided each of us as we made our own bowl. We layered in so many flavors and textures, and by the end I was honestly shocked--it looked like something straight out of the kitchen. The experience also included an amazing Pisco Sour (and as someone who is obsessed with Pisco Sours, that was the icing on the cake). The class is set up at a large rectangular table, which made it easy to chat with others and created a really fun, social bonding experience. We all ended up exchanging contact information afterward. To wrap it up, they took a group photo with our certificates for completing the class, and we were able to take home both the certificates and the recipes. Huge kudos to Chris, the manager, for bringing this idea from his previous restaurant experience, and major kudos to Nacho (Executive Chef) and Louis for their time, patience, and incredible teaching. Such a great experience from start to finish.

It was pretty pack for a weekday, lively ambiance and people. Servers were attentive and timely- if anything more than attentive. Everything came in good timing. We tried the mixed seafood ceviche and a bowl of guac I didn't capture, side with crispy green plantains. Wonderful combination. Branzino was delicious and nicely plated. Overall yummy cocktails- tasted two- stuck to one. Experience was nice. I'd go again.

I just want to start my saying this place is a 10/10!!! I came here to celebrate my birthday with 7 of my good friends. We had a time and it was worth the wait. You can make your reservation online via Opentable but for up to 8 people. For more than that, you have to call and they will let you know that they only offer family style for that many people. Do yourself a favor, just do family style and come hungry. You will not be disappointed. Also no matter what time you call the restaurant, they will pick up the phone. Great customer service. Now for the real deal, the food and the drinks. All I can say is everyone was satisfied with all the dishes we were served. I really had no idea what we would be trying and I was pleasantly surprised. Even the picky eaters in our group were happy with the food. I've tried Peruvian food in the past, but this is some unique delicious Peruvian. Our server was very informative of the dishes and the ingredients used and explained to us what each dish was. They give you many different types of the dishes on their menu and all for $90 per person. They gave us 2 of each dish. It was enough for our group. We were served mahi mahi ceviche, watermelon ceviche, yuca fries with cheese, a green salad, tostones with a delicious cilantro Aiolli (we kept asking for more) and quacamole, arroz con mariscos, arrow chauffeur, antichuchero sushi roll, another chicken dish, a beef dish, broccolini, Brussels sprouts, tres leches, and choclo con queso for dessert. Talk about a great deal. Drinks were just as good. I ordered the Grownup's Raspadilla. My friend's had cava, vert tige, and watermelon blossom. The restaurant also gave us tequila shots to celebrate my Birthday, which was greatly appreciated. I am definitely coming back and would say this place is great for groups or a date night. Food is delicious. Service is great. Again 10/10.

Nice spot and the salad was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend liked the ceviche but was a bit disappointed he couldn't do the tasting menu by himself. We were willing to pay regardless. Either way the menu looked great and still on the fence If I want to go back. Sever and staff were absolutely amazing. Thanks for squeezing us in with no reservations!

I went to Mission Ceviche on March 31, 2026 with a group of friends for their cooking class, and it was such a fun and unique experience! The class cost $106 per person and lasted about two hours. Everything was included, we were provided with all the ingredients needed to make the dish, plus a classic pisco cocktail as part of the experience. It felt like a great value for what we got. Our instructor walked us through the entire process step by step and also shared some background on the history of ceviche, which made it even more interesting. The portions were generous, and we left feeling completely full and satisfied. I also have to mention the manager, who was absolutely lovely and checked in on us several times to make sure everything was running smoothly. That extra level of attention really stood out. The only downside was that it could get a bit loud in the restaurant, so it was sometimes hard to hear the instructor. A microphone would definitely improve the experience. Overall, I would 100% recommend this class if you're looking for something fun, interactive, and different to do with friends!

Such a lovely lunch at Mission Ceviche! Our server, Destinee, was very helpful and patient with us as we made our decision about what to eat. Wish I took a picture of the dessert - the tres leche was out of this world! Each bit of the meal was special: even the rice had a special flavor. My favorite course was the appetizer: butternut squash soup. They had great coat hooks to hang our heavy jackets on a cold winter day (may seem crazy to comment on coat hooks but they were helpful in January 2026!) There is a neon mural at the back of the restaurant that was very eye catching. Highly recommending Mission Ceviche as a great place for lunch (and probably dinner too!)

Sweet Plantains

Incredible good, great service. Cute decor. Ceviche (5/5): truly so delicious, the portion of actual ceviche is kind of small but it comes in a big bowl and looks pretty Lomo Saltado (5/5): SO yum, perfectly cooked. Good portion size. Plantains (4/5): plantains were perfectly cooked and so delicious, I will say the goat cheese topping was a little heavy (the volume was a lot and texture was a little grainy, but flavor was good) We got a tempura shrimp sushi roll too that was phenomenal!!

Tres Leches

I came here for dinner with my girlfriend. i would recommend getting a reservation but it was not too crowded. We had to wait a bit but nothing crazy. The service was good they came to check up on regularly. One thing that did throw me off was when one of the waiters was cleaning our table and he just swiped the food on to the floor. it hit my shoe LOL. The food dame out at a reasonable time. Everything looked great when it arrived. They even used a blow torch at one point. octopus Cerviche - 10/10 I've had ceviche a total of 3 times in my life. So I really do not know what good cerviche is. However i know that cerviche is supposed to be creamy and sour. This cerviche was exactly that. i usually don't like too sour foods but i couldn't put my spoon down. the taste was sour soupy and a hit of cilantro. the octopus was fresh and did not have a fishy taste. Super good i would definitely recommend. Wagyu sushi roll- 4/10 Not much to comment it was just wagyu wrapped sushi roll not worth trying Ribs fried rice and mash potatoes 10/10 it's in the dishes name the ribs were so tender and flavorful. the sauce mixed with the mash potatoes and rice was such a good combo. It was a bit expensive but i would say worth. getting once it was super filling Tres leches 9/10 this was the main reason we came. i've tried a lot of teesleches but none as good as this. the warm marshmallow top and the cold cake on the bottom was such a good combination. i loved it! i would say this is a must get Overall Impression: I'd recommend this place for people who want a good cerviche and tres leches. I think it's a great place if you want to try something new and it's for a special occasion. It's a fun spot to try with friends and family but do be ware of the price. Perfect for sharing and enjoying a warm, comforting meal. The only reason i don't give more stars is because of the price.

The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.

The bartender, the one person who should be welcoming and engaging, came across as rude and lacked any charisma. On a Friday night, good energy behind the bar makes a huge difference, and that was completely missing. I ordered a margarita, which is one of the simplest and most common cocktails to make. I asked for it really sweet with plenty of salt on the rim. Instead, it came out barely sweet and with almost no salt. For a $17 margarita, I expected much better. I've had to return the drink because I've had better margaritas for $12 at other places. While waiting for my friend, I had to wait with a glass of water because I didn't trust the way they made the drink. The bartender told me I either needed to order another drink or move, which felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the food was good and the space itself is nice.
