Don't support this business. Bad actitude. Overpriced local food and beverage. The food it's service doesn't have what it takes.

Great local restaurant with a variety of menu items. Hubby had the paella with fish and it was delicious. I had chicken breast with a mushroom sauce but wished I got it with rice rather than papas. They also have a Mexican menu but we did not try anything on it. Definitely wort a visit. Atmosphere is homey and casual. read more

Bad place to eat. I went thispast Saturday and is going to be my last. Let star from the begining. No reception and waiting area. You have to seek for a waiter to get a table. The waiter goning to take you order and you dont going to see him again. After waiting for one hour or more I get my freid fish, that the cook have a different idea what is a freid fish. Its was cold and no flavor. And my wife after 30 minutes waiting for the lobster, another waiter come and said they don have lobster, and others type of seafood. They was out of stock. This is an amazing place great view of San Juan and the Ferry. Clean bright with light and best of all it wasn't as packed as we thought. Best part about it was the food dear lord the food was amazing! For appetizers we had wings with hot sauce on the side and I had an empanada de Langosta (Lobster). As for our drinks we had a Mojito and a Michelob Ultra Beer my mom's sorry guys not me lol. And as for our entrée I had the Mofongo de Mariscos (Seafood), and my mom had the Paella de Mariscos (Zaffron Rice with Seafood Meledy). We heard that the food here was great, so when we came here for and event, we were pretty excited. We had the terrace for our group of over 50, and they had one waitress and two bartenders working. The waitress took our order and twenty minutes later everyone who ordered after us had their drinks, and we had nothing. When I asked her where our order was, she had no idea what we ordered, despite the fact that we had already paid and she had the info in their order system. We were standing by the bar and there was a basket of menus next to the end of the bar which was empty. There where also little clipboards with the specials. The bartender snapped at us to hand him menus, and we gave him one of the specials boards (because that was all there was) and he got this look on his face like we where idiots and said "No, menu". When we told him that the only thing there was the clipboards, he just turned his back on us. I don't care how good the food might be here. I will not be coming back. read more

The service is fantastic and the whole restaurant is much cleaner and in better repair than any place in old San Juan. The food is very good and well priced. Firstly the service was good; very attentive staff. Secondly, the view is amazing. We just missed the sunset but the sky was still a beautiful color. The appetizers were good as well. We had surillitos, mozarella sticks (store bought as it appeared) and empanadas de (lobster). The empanadas were good and tasty unlike our entrees. For our entrees we had Red Snapper which bland and not fresh. I can tell it was fresh because it was rubbery and had no taste. I'm willing to give this place another try but I'll probably skip the red snapper. read more

Based on the Yelp reviews and the all the newspaper/magazine clippings on the walls I was expecting a decent meal, but both my meal and my girlfriend's was disappointing. We had the Ensalada de King Crab and the Chicken Mofongo with garlic sauce; the chicken was especially bland and over cooked while the salad reminded me of something from a school cafeteria. The service was also poor; our waiter took our order, brought out the food and drinks, and collected our check. We had to flag down another waitress to even get the check and forget about getting any drink refills. For the price I would have expected a better experience. read more

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience at this restaurant. This place should be avoided at all costs. If it is the only place open in Cataño you are better off eating elsewhere. We waited about an hour for our order only to find out that it had never even been put through to the cook, and then 5-10 minutes later received extremely sub-par food that looked like it had just been microwaved and was not nearly enough for 2 people. (We had ordered the 2 person sampler). The staff made no effort to rectify the situation. You will be wise not to patronize this establishment. read more

Decidedly meh. You can't get anything for an appetizer that's not fried. The Paella takes a long time and for the price, doesn't have that much seafood in it (something like 2 mussels, a big clam, 2 or 4 calamaris, and 4 shrimps). The mofongo wasn't very good here. This is the spot to go if you find yourself waiting for the ferry. We stopped in based on yelp reviews and once again were not disappointed. This was our first queso frito encounter-AMAZING! We both had el bistec encebollado, rice and beans, and an order of amarillos. Not only do they serve huge portions but it was absolutely delicious. We were on our 3rd day in PR and agreed this was the absolute best meal we had had. Our large family loved this place, which is just a quick 10-minute ferry from pier 2 in old San Juan. (The restaurant is diectly across from the pier where you land).It is very family oriented, and offers wonderful family-style Puerto Rican food with an emphasis on seafood. The grouper was so fresh I thought it would stare back at me. The wait staff were terrific and spoke English well. And did I mention that most mixed drinks were only $5? This saved us a fortune compared with dining in Old San Juan. You could pay more and get worse food, but why should you? read more

This is a lovely restaurant with excellent service. Located across from the ferry, it is an excellent location to visit after a shopping day in Old San Juan. I had the paella and it was good but the empanadas were the star of the meal. We had the beef and the lobster. Definitely a treat. Prices are reasonable and portions are a hearty size. I loved it. Waiting for the ferry to go back to Old San Juan, I got tired of waiting and decided to quickly eat here until the next one came! The prices for food are a bit lower than many of the places in OSJ AND it was a nice atmosphere w/ very friendly staff!! The food was great. I had a daily special with chicken in a wine sauce. Delicious...and with rice. One of the better things I had in SJ, and it was only 7.95$. Other items on the menu seemed quite tempting as well. We have been here before and decided to try it again while thinking of a place to eat fresh seafood. We took the ferry from Old San Juan for a very inexpensive ($0.50, or $0.25 for seniors),10 minutes ride. The restaurant is right across the street from the ferry station. We have always liked the food here. This time it was as good as usual, but the service was even better. The hostess went out of her way to find us a table we liked and to please us, and the waiters were also very friendly. My wife had the fish special (the whole chillo) while I had the filet de chillo a la criollas. Both were excellent! Really disappointing. I went to this restaurant because they recommend to me. The service or I should said the non service we received was simply bad. The appetizers were good but the main dishes ( fry red snapper ) was tasteless and over price. The worst part after all the included 15% tip in the bill. We googled a place that's not too expensive for a family of five but still have good, wholesome food. We read great reviews but it was just ok. I ordered the octopus salad and it tasted a little chewy, obviously frozen. Fish should always be served fresh, or don't put it on the menu. My family had rice and beans, soup and Mofongo. Rice was a little undercooked, but it was ok, nothing to rave about. Simple place, good for a quick stop in. They just shouldn't charge over $18 for a salad that has frozen fish. read more
